LEMAN DRONE TRACKER ACTIVATION
To get a GPS signal, you should be outside to perform the following steps correctly.
Also, the LEMAN Drone Tracker should be in an area with GSM or GPRS coverage.
These steps could be skipped if your tracker has been provided already with a SIM Card.
For these steps, you will need the following items and information:
●The LEMAN Drone Tracker with its SIM card inserted as per the previous chapter
●A mobile phone (with its own SIM card, connectivity, and SMS plan). SMS are sent to the
LEMAN Drone Tracker only for configuration purposes
●The APN of your SIM card provider
●The phone number of the SIM card installed into the LEMAN Drone Tracker
With your Sim card comes an Access Point Name (APN) that defines the network path for all
cellular data connections. It is therefore essential to configure the current APN settings of your
tracker to be fully compatible with the INVOLI.live platform.
The configuration of the LEMAN Drone Tracker is done by sending SMS with commands to the
Tracker. The Tracker will reply back with the result of the configuration. In case it was not
possible to receive messages from the tracker, please verify your connectivity. In case of an
error in writing, correct the SMS and send it once again. In case of doubt, please refer to the
following paragraph providing an example with real numbers.
1. The default APN set on the tracker is “internet”
To change the APN, please send a text message to the tracker SIM card phone number
once the tracker is ON using the following command “:123456OAPN,,”. Please note that
the O is a letter and not a number.
For example, if you have a Swisscom SIM card with the APN being gprs.swisscom.ch
you can send:123456Ogprs.swisscom.ch,,
The “:” and “,,” are part of the command.
If the command is accepted you will receive a message containing CMD-O. However, if
the command has a syntax error you will receive CMD-ERROR.
Example with APN being “internet”:
