safety issues, both general and specic and the operation and
maintenance of the chipper before operating machinery.

Do not modify the design of the machine.
Operator Competency
Do not allow persons to operate machinery without full and proper
instruction in the use of the machine, adjustments maintenance and
the factors of safe operation.
Please read and understand this manual and the engine instruction
manual before assembly and use.
• When working with the machine wear close-tting work
clothes, sturdy work gloves, eye protection, ear mu, dustproof
mask and antiskid shoes.
• The operator must understand all the safety requirements
detailed in this manual before using the equipment.
• The operator is responsible for the safety of all third parties while
the equipment is in use.
• The use of alcohol, prescription or non-prescription drugs may
impair the user’s ability to properly assemble or safely operate
this chipper shredder.
• Do not operate this machine under the inuence of alcohol or
drugs.
• If you have any queries regarding these instructions, contact
your local dealer for clarication before you use your unit.
• The unit must be correctly assembled before use. Failure to
follow the manual’s instructions could result in serious damage
or injury.
• Ensure that the unit is on a level and stable surface before
operating.
• Ensure all fuel hoses are in good condition and have been
correctly tted.
• The chipper shredder should be carefully checked for operational
safety every time before use.
• Carbon monoxide can be extremely dangerous in enclosed
areas; do not run the machine in an enclosed area since the
exhaust from the engine contains carbon monoxide, which is
colourless, odourless and tasteless.
• Do not place hands or any other part of the body or clothing
inside the feeding chutes, discharge area, or near any moving
part.
• When chipping short or block wood material, it is strictly
forbidden to stand in front of the Inlet chute opening. The
operator should stand on the side of the inlet chute and put the
materials into the inlet chute in order to prevent any personal
injury.
• Do not get close to the outlet chute, the chips are expelled from
the outlet chute can hurt you or may cause serious injury.
• Before inspecting or servicing any part of the machine, shut o
the power source. Make sure that all moving parts have come to
a complete stop. Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark
plug.
• Use the correctly specied fuel with this unit.
• The machine is rated with the sound pressure level of
95.38dB(A) and the sound power level of 115.38dB(A) (The
sound pressure value and sound power value are measured
according to EN ISO 3744:1995 and EN ISO 11201:2010
standards respectively with the uncertainty k=3dB). Consider the
surrounding environment before using this machine as the noise
may not be acceptable around places like oce, lab or hospitals.
Check local rules and regulations for allowable noise pollution in
your region.
• Keep blade sharp and grease bearing regularly which can help
keep noise to relatively lower level.
• The GX390 engine is shipped from the factory without oil and
fuel. Remember to ll 1.1L 10W-30 oil and Clean Unleaded
Gasoline before starting the machine for rst time;
• Remove and replace engine oil after 5 hours running time, and
then replace the oil with 50 hours regular running times.
• The GX390 engine uses clean unleaded gasoline as fuel.
Gasoline is ammable and explosive. Keep machine far away
from ammable and explosive objects and re source when
using or maintaining.
• When lling gasoline and oil, the engine must be shut down.
• Before starting machine, it is necessary to ensure that all shock
pads (part 6 and 14 shown in assembly section) are extended
in contact with the ground and the belt protective cover, the
bearing protective cover is intact.
• Do not leave the chipper shredder unattended when it is running.
• Onlookers should be kept a safe distance away from the chipper
shredder when it is in use.
• Keep children and animals well away while the unit is in use and
while it is slowing down.
• Never try to move the unit when the engine is running, or before
it has had time to stop.
• Parts of the engine do get extremely hot and could cause
serious burns.
• The person operating this unit should pay constant attention to
the material being processed.
• The operator should remain at the unit at all times when it is
running.
• Ensure that the engine is turned OFF while the unit is
unattended.
• Do not overload the machine and operate it over its maximum
chipping capacity.
• Do not attempt to repair the machine unless you are competent
to do so.
• Keep the engine clean of debris and other accumulations to
prevent damage to the engine or possible re.
• Remove any debris inside the Inlet chute each time after the
engine is turned o.
• Do not over-reach. Keep proper balance and footing at all times.
• Do not tamper with the engine governor settings on the
machine: the governor controls the maximum safe operating
speed and protects the engine and all moving parts from
damage caused by over speed. Seek authorized service if a
problem exists.
• Feed only clean material into the machine. Foreign matter like
soil, sand, grit, stones, pieces of metal, etc. will damage the
sharp edge of the cutting knives. Root balls and dead wood will
also blunt the blades quickly. Operating the machine with blunt
blades causes excessive vibration which may result in damage
to the machine.
• Do not feed short, stubby pieces of wood into the machine,
as they tend to bounce and spin in the Inlet chute. Feed these
short pieces together with longer pieces. After becoming
familiar with the machine, prune to suit its capabilities.
• While operating the machine keep a wooden stick handy,
approx 30mm diameter x 1m long. This stick will be useful for
pushing in short, brushy and very leafy materials and to keep
the infeed chute clear.
• The engine is tted with oil alert and will not start if the oil level
in the sump is too low. It may also stop if it is operated on a
steep slope.
• Keep all guards and deectors in place and in good working
condition.
• Because the chipper is self-feeding and has a large infeed
opening, the machine can easily be stalled with branches that
are too big for processing. You will have to hold these branches
back and feed the machine with care until you are familiar with
its capacity.
• Do not overload the chipper. If the drum is slowing down, feed
the material in slower.
• The Manufacturer’s Warranty may be voided by the incorrect use
of this product.
The Manufacturer or their Agents can accept no liability for any
material that is processed and causes personal discomfort or injury.

When feeding the material into the chipper shredder, be extremely
careful that pieces of metal, rocks, bottles, cans or other foreign
objects are not included.
The fresh cut trees branches and straws can be chipped directly.
Due to dierent hardness and moisture content, the engine may
stop midway or the machine body may start shaking.
Recommend max. Chipping capacity is based on trees, bamboo
and straws. If chipping the perennial plant, you should shorten the
chipping diameter and decrease the material feeding into the Inlet
chute.
• Feed only clean material into the chipper shredder. Foreign
matter like soil, sand, grit, stones, pieces of metal, etc. will
damage the sharp edge of the cutting knives. Root balls and
dead wood will also blunt the blades quickly. Operating the
machine with blunt blades causes excessive vibration which
may result in damage to the machine.
• When chipping short or block wood material, it is strictly
forbidden to stand in front of the Inlet chute opening. The
operator should stand on the side of the inlet chute and
put the materials into the inlet chute in order to prevent any

The ideal chipping for this machine is suitable for fresh cut with 80%
moisture content. During the chipping process, you should obey the
following rules;
• Do not bulk feed all the branches into the Inlet chute. Only
insert one branch at a time into the Inlet chute.
• Insert big side rst followed by smaller sides of the branch.
• Insert trunk of the branch rst.
• Insert branches and leaves together with the bulk or segment
of big trees.
• Block and short materials are not allowed to be chipped
separately. For the safety of the operator they are better to be
crushed with the branches.
Warning
Never put your hands or ngers in the chipper chute.
For the protection of others, do not leave the machine
unattended when it is running.
1. Branches up to 100mm diameter can be chipped using the
chipper tube. Green timber will chip much faster than dry
timber. Do not chip wood that contains nails.
Important
Do not move the unit with the engine running. The
resultant tilting may starve the engine of oil and cause it
to seize.
2. If the engine is slowing substantially while chipping, reduce the
rate you are feeding branches into the machine. This will also
make the resultant chips smaller and will extend the life of the
drive. Alternatively, check if the blades are blunt.
3. If the chipper becomes jammed, the engine should be stopped
immediately (if it has not stalled). Disconnect the spark plug
wire and move it away from the spark plug. Remove the
oending material before restarting. This may involve lowering
the shredder mesh, turning the shredder assembly backwards
and prising the material out of the tube.
Note
DO NOT continue chipping if the drive belt is slipping
or smoking. To readjust the belt, see maintenance
information.
Warning
A. Do not push material into the shredder chute with
your hands. Use a green branch or a piece of
softwood.
B. Wear eye protection.
C. Small dry branches may bounce inside the Inlet
chute.
Important
Do not attempt to shred objects such as glass, metal,
plastic bottles or rocks.
4. Wear gloves when feeding small branches into the shredder
chute, hold the branches loosely and release them long before
they contact the rotating blades.
Important
Beware of a sudden jerk as the branches are tugged
into the shredder.
5. Control the rate of feeding material into the shredder chute so
that the motor is not overloaded. In particular, try to avoid rapid
changes in engine speed caused by instantaneous bulk feeding
Preparation
1. Wear safety glasses at all times while operating the machine.
Hearing protection is also recommended, especially for
extended operating periods.
2. Avoid wearing any loose tting clothing.
3. Before starting the machine, check that all screws, nuts, bolts
and other fasteners are properly secured. Replace damaged or
unreadable warning and operating decals.
4. Warning
Use extra care in handling fuels. They are ammable and the
vapours are explosive.
a) Use only an approved container for fuel.
b) Never remove fuel cap or add fuel with engine

running. Allow engine to cool before refueling. Do not
smoke while refuelling.
c) Never refuel the machine indoors.
d) Never store the machine or fuel container inside
where there is an open ame such as a water heater
e) Always replace & securely tighten the fuel cap after
relling.
f) If fuel is spilled, do not attempt to start the engine,
but move the machine away from the area of spillage
before starting.
5. Check the amount of oil and fuel before operation
6. It is recommended to do a run test to make sure connecting
parts are rm. (For detailed information please refer to the
engine instruction manual.)
7. After testing the machine it is recommended to gradually
increase the loading.
8. If the machine makes abnormal vibration or unusual noises,
immediately turn the machine o and get it checked by an
authorized person.
9. If there is many uncut materials it shows that blades may be
need to be sharpened or intervals may need to be adjusted.
Take the machine to an authorised dealer to sharpen/install
new blades.
10. If the cutting mechanism strikes any foreign objects or if the
machine should start making any unusual noise or vibration,
immediately shut o the engine and allow the machine to
stop. Disconnect the spark plug and take the following steps:
1) Inspect for damage
2) Replace or repair any damaged parts
3) Check for and tighten any loose parts.
Assembly
All bolts, washers and nuts have been xed at its original place
inside the packaging.
This machine is large in volume, heavy in weight and it has many
switches. When assembling the machine seek guidance and
assistance from an authorised dealer or a person who has a
considerable knowledge of this machine to ensure safety

1.1 Assemble the Wheel Axle (4) on the Base frame (8) using Bolt (5)
with Nut and washer.
1.2 Fix the wheels (1) as shown in the picture on wheel axle by
using bolt and washer (2).
1.3 Attach Front shock pads (6) on the Base frame using Bolt (3).

2.1 Attach Rear shock pad (14) on the Base frame using Bolt (16)
and locking clip (17)
2.2 Unscrew the Bolt (27) near Hand wheel (26) and remove the
black sticker as shown below
2.3 Insert the hand wheel (26) and x the Bolt (27) in place as
shown below.
Note: This step is only to x the hand wheel on its position. Do not
rotate the hand wheel. This hand wheel will be used to adjust the
belt tension which is to be done by an authorised dealer.
2.4 Insert the Handle (25) into the corresponding holes of Base
frame (8) and x tightly by using knob (24.)
Warning
In the process of installation, do not place hands or any
other body parts within blade housing. Do not touch the
blades with your hands or any other body parts.
3) Inlet and Outlet Chute installation
The Outlet Chute can be installed by one person but the installation
of the Inlet Chute must be done by two or more people in
coordination.
3.1 Fix Outlet Chute (13) on the Blade housing (15) by connecting
the hinges. Fold the Outlet Chute (13) in direction shown in photo
above such that is makes a narrow intersection angles with blade
housing (15).
3.2 After connecting hinges successfully, fold the Outlet Chute (13)
back by inserting switch insert (A) slowly in the interlocking switch
(23) located on the blade housing (15) and x the Outlet chute using
bolt (7) and washers as shown in photo above.
3.3
a) Fix Inlet Chute (12) onto the blade housing by connecting hinges
in a similar way to the Outlet Chute.
b) Install Switch insert (B) slowly in the interlocking switch (23) on
the blade housing (15).
c) Extra care must be taken to ensure that the safety switch is not
damaged during this part of the installation.
d) This can be achieved by at least 2 people installing it and keeping
the top end of the inlet chute close to the outlet chute. Then slide
it on until the chute is fully onto the pivot pin. See photos 1 & 2
below.
e) This can then be lowered down onto the blade housing. The
interlock switch (23) should now line up with actuator. The inlet
chute can now be xed to the frame by using bolts (7) and
washers. See photos 3 & 4 below.
3.4 This is the safety bar connection and has already been made at
the factory, only disconnect when performing maintenance

Must be careful as switch insert on Outlet chute and
interlocking switch can get damaged easily.

4) Safety bar instalment
4.1 Switch inserts A and B are xed on the bottom of Outlet and
Inlet chutes can be easily damaged by external forces. Take extra
care during assembly or taking them in and out. The interlocking
switches are for safety purpose and the machine will not work if
switch insert is not inserted when Inlet or Outlet chute is not closed
properly.
4.2 Safety switch (28) is a manual reset switch which is xed under
the Inlet chute. In any case of emergency, press safety bar (18)
and the engine will stop automatically. Remember to pull button D
outside while restarting the machine otherwise the machine will not
start.
Important
When the chipper shredder is stopped using the safety
bar, please pull out a pin on the switch shown below to
start the chipper shredder. The chipper shredder will not
start if the pin is not pulled out.
4.3 The anti-tilt switch (28) must be attached when the machine is
in use.
Operation
Before operating the machine, please read and follow all safety
instructions and perform all operation checks mentioned in this
manual. (Ensure inlet chute is free of any debris from previous use)
For your safety, do not operate the engine in an enclosed area such
as a garage. Your engine’s exhaust contains poisonous carbon
monoxide gas that can collect rapidly in an enclosed area and
cause illness or death.
Starting the Machine
1. Move the fuel lever to the ON position.
2. To start a cold engine, move the choke lever to the CLOSED
position.
(Keep choke lever on open position for warm engine)
3. Move the throttle lever away from the MIN. position, about 1/3
of the way towards the MAX. position.
4. Turn the engine switch to the ON position.
5. Pull the starter grip lightly until you feel resistance, then pull
briskly in the direction of the arrow as shown below. Return the
starter grip gently.
(Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine.
Return it gently to prevent damage to the starter.)
6. If the choke lever has been moved to the CLOSED position to

start the engine, gradually move it to the OPEN position as the
engine warms up.
7. Once the machine has warmed up and fully operational, Move
the Throttle lever to MAX. position and start inserting the
branches gradually increasing the loading. (Only insert one
branch at a time)
8. Control the rate of feeding material into the inlet chute so that
the motor is not overloaded.
9. Cut branches into single pieces before inserting into the inlet
chute. (Do not insert connecting branches before cutting them
into individual pieces)
STOPPING THE MACHINE
To stop the engine in an emergency, simply turn the engine switch
to the OFF position. Under normal conditions, use the following
procedure.
Keep the engine running until the inlet chute is completely empty
of debris (this may take 1-2 minutes for the small pieces to exit the
chipper shredder)
1. Move the throttle lever to the MIN. position.
2. Turn the engine switch to the OFF position.
3. Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position.
4. Wait for the engine and drum to completely stop and then
remove the spark plug from the engine.
5. Remove any uncut material from the blade housing and Inlet
chute, Follow maintenance procedures mentioned in the
manual.
Maintenance
Warning
Do not open the blade housing unless the engine and
drum have completely stopped.
When this equipment is stopped for servicing, inspection, or
storage, make sure the spark plug wire is disconnected from
the spark plug. Allow the machine to cool before making any
inspections, adjustments, etc. Maintain the machine with care and
keep it clean by blowing, brushing or wiping it down.
• Every 5-10 hours of operation check the oil level and top up if
necessary. Change the oil in accordance with the instructions
in the engine booklet.
• Regularly check the condition of the engine air cleaner,
especially in dusty environments.
• Remove any debris inside the Inlet chute each time after the
engine is turned o.
• If there is many uncut materials it shows that blades may be
needed to sharpen or intervals may need to be adjusted. Take
the machine to an authorised dealer to sharpen/install new
blades.
• Apply Grease on main shaft bearings after every 50 hours of
use. Failure to grease the bearings may cause damage to the
machine
• Check all the parts regularly with 1-2 times monthly including
bearing, blades, belt etc. Make sure them are exible and
sharp.
• Replace the blades as soon as the chipping performance
begins to deteriorate. The blades are needed to check
regularly. The blunt blades will lower working eciency and
cause the damage of machine.
• Consult an authorised dealer to change the blades.
• Perform engine maintenance base on the engine booklet
provided.
• The drive belt may stretch after a short period of use, but
should then stabilize for a considerable time if not overloaded
or constantly slipped.

Replacing Belt
Drive belt must be replaced by an authorised dealer.
When the belt appear damage or skid, please make adjustment or replacement as follows,
1. Turn o engine and allow the machine to cool down.
2. Loose the xed bolt of belt guard, remove the belt cover.
3. Loose the xed bolt on the engine and rotate the hand wheel toward right or left to adjust or remove belt.
4. Lock the xed bolt of engine, fold the folding hand of hand wheel, and ret the belt.
Blade Housing Blocked
1. Stop the machine and remove the spark plug wire.
2. Remove the Inlet chute and the cap of bearing (Reverse of Step 3 in Assembly).
3. Turn the shaft of roller by the right with a spanner in the toolkit to clear the blocked material.
Warning
Don’t touch the blade during this working; make sure your hands do not get cut by the blades.
Iseki Chipper Blade Adjustment
Step 1: Disconnect the spark plug lead to ensure motor will not
start.
Step 2: Make sure all electrical connections are disconnected on
the inlet chute.
Step 3: Remove the 2 bolts holding the chute to the main frame.
Step 4: Slide the chute o the main body. (2 people must be used)
Step 5: Rotate drum by hand to align the cutter on the drum with
the edge of the cutter blade, being careful not to get body parts
caught between blade and cutter.
Step 6: Loosen all blade screws using a 6mm allen key. Then
nip up the 2 end screws so that the bar can be adjusted by light
tapping.
Step 7: Insert a 1.5mm to 2mm feeler gauge between the cutter
and blade, slightly rotating back and forward to get the correct gap.
Step 8: Tighten the 2 end screws and recheck gap. If ok then
tighten the remaining screws.
Installing the chute is the reverse of the removal procedure.

• Le monoxyde de carbone peut être extrêmement dangereux
dans les endroits clos ; ne pas utiliser la machine dans un endroit
clos, car les gaz d’échappement du moteur comprennent du
monoxyde de carbone, un gaz incolore, inodore et insipide.
• Ne pas approcher les mains ou toute autre partie du corps ou
des vêtements de la trémie de chargement, des sorties ou de
toute pièce en mouvement.
• Lors du broyage de morceaux de bois courts ou épais, il est
strictement interdit de se tenir devant l’ouverture de la trémie
de chargement. L’utilisateur doit se tenir sur le côté de la trémie
de chargement pour charger les matériaux dans celle-ci, an
d’éviter tout risque de blessure corporelle.
• Ne pas se tenir trop près de la trémie d’éjection, car les copeaux
éjectés peuvent blesser l’utilisateur, parfois gravement.
• Avant d’inspecter ou de réparer toute pièce de la machine,
débrancher cette dernière. S’assurer que toutes les pièces
mobiles sont complètement arrêtées. Débrancher le câble de la
bougie au niveau de la bougie.
• Utiliser le carburant adapté à cette machine.
• Ne pas laisser le broyeur allumé sans surveillance.
• La machine est conçue pour un niveau de pression acoustique
de 95,38 dB (A) et un niveau de puissance acoustique de
115,38 dB (A) (les valeurs de pression acoustique et de
puissance acoustique sont mesurées conformément aux
normes EN ISO 3744: 1995 et EN ISO 11201: Normes de 2010
avec l’incertitude k = 3dB). Tenez compte de l’environnement
environnant avant d’utiliser cette machine, car le bruit risque de
ne pas être acceptable dans les lieux tels que les bureaux, les
laboratoires ou les hôpitaux. Vériez les règles et réglementations
locales en matière de pollution sonore dans votre région.
• Gardez la lame aûtée et graisser régulièrement les roulements,
ce qui peut aider à limiter le bruit.
• Le moteur GX390 est expédié de l'usine sans huile ni carburant.
N'oubliez pas de remplir 1,1 L d'huile 10W-30 et de nettoyer
l'essence sans plomb avant de démarrer la machine pour la
première fois.
• Retirez et remplacez l'huile moteur après les 5 premières heures
de fonctionnement, puis remplacez l'huile par des temps
d'utilisation normaux de 50 heures.
• Le moteur GX390 utilise de l'essence sans plomb propre.
L'essence est inammable et explosive. Maintenir la machine loin
des objets inammables et explosifs et des sources d’incendie
lors de son utilisation ou de son entretien.
• Lors du remplissage d'essence et d'huile, le moteur doit être
arrêté.
• Avant de démarrer la machine, il est nécessaire de s'assurer que
tous les coussinets d'amortissement (pièces 6 et 14 illustrées
dans la section montage) sont étendus au contact du sol et que
le capot de protection de la courroie est intact.
• Les autres personnes doivent rester à une distance sûre du
broyeur en marche.
• Tenir les enfants et les animaux à l’écart lors de l’utilisation de la
machine et pendant son ralentissement.
• Ne jamais tenter de déplacer la machine lorsqu’elle est en
marche ou avant qu’elle n’ait eu le temps de s’arrêter.
• Certaines pièces du moteur chauent beaucoup et peuvent
entraîner des brûlures graves.
• L’utilisateur de la machine doit observer en permanence les
matériaux chargés.
• L’utilisateur doit rester à proximité de la machine à tout moment
lors de son utilisation.
• Vérier que le moteur est bien ÉTEINT lorsque la machine doit
être laissée sans surveillance.
• Ne pas surcharger la machine et ne pas dépasser sa capacité
de broyage maximale.
• Ne pas tenter de réparer la machine, à moins d’être un
réparateur qualié.
• Vérier que les débris et autres ne s’accumulent pas dans le
moteur pour éviter tout incendie ou dommage matériel sur le
moteur.
• Retirer tous les débris dans la trémie de chargement après
chaque utilisation, lorsque le moteur est éteint.
• Ne pas trop se pencher. Garder un bon équilibre sur les deux
pieds à tout moment.
• Ne pas essayer de changer les réglages du régulateur de
régime. Le régulateur contrôle la vitesse de fonctionnement
maximale et protège le moteur et toutes les pièces en
mouvement des dommages occasionnés par une vitesse
excessive. Consulter un réparateur agréé en cas de problème.
• Ne mettre que des matériaux propres dans la machine. Les
corps étrangers tels que la terre, le sable, les gravillons, les
pierres ou les morceaux de métal par exemple aecteront le
tranchant des lames de coupe. Les mottes de racines et le
bois mort risquent eux aussi d’émousser rapidement les lames.
L’utilisation de la machine avec des lames émoussées entraîne
des vibrations excessives, qui peuvent nir par endommager la
machine.
• Ne pas mettre de bouts de bois courts et épais dans la
machine, car ils ont tendance à rebondir en vrilles dans la
trémie de chargement. Ajouter ces éléments en même temps
que des morceaux plus longs. Avec le temps, vous apprendrez
à connaître la machine et à couper des branches adaptées à
ses capacités.
• Lors de l’utilisation de la machine, garder un bâton en bois
d’environ 1 mètre de long et 30 mm de diamètre à portée
de main. Il peut être utile pour pousser les matériaux courts,
broussailleux ou feuillus dans la trémie de chargement an de
la dégager.
• Le moteur est équipé d’une alerte de niveau d’huile, et ne
démarrera pas si le niveau d’huile dans le carter est trop bas.
Il arrive aussi qu’il cesse de fonctionner s’il est utilisé sur un

terrain en pente raide.
• S’assurer que toutes les protections et déecteurs sont en
place et en bon état.
• Étant donné que le broyeur s’autoalimente et qu’il est équipé
d’une large ouverture d'alimentation, il arrive qu’il cale en raison
de branches trop grosses pour être broyées. Il faut retenir ces
branches et alimenter la machine progressivement, jusqu’à
mieux connaître ses capacités.
• Ne pas surcharger le broyeur. Si le tambour ralentit, ralentir le

• La garantie du fabricant peut être résiliée en cas d’utilisation
incorrecte de ce produit.

Lors de l’alimentation du broyeur, prendre soin de ne pas inclure de
morceaux de métal, de pierres, de bouteilles, de canettes ou autres
corps étrangers.
Les branches fraîchement coupées et les pailles peuvent être
broyées directement. En raison des diérences dans la dureté et la
teneur en eau des matériaux, le moteur peut caler, ou le corps de la
machine peut se mettre à secouer.
La capacité de broyage maximale recommandée est basée sur
les arbres, le bambou et les pailles. Pour broyer une plante vivace,
raccourcir le diamètre de broyage et réduire le volume de matériau
passé dans la trémie de chargement.

Le matériau idéal pour ce broyeur est des coupes fraîches avec
80 % de teneur en eau. Pendant le broyage, respecter les règles
suivantes;
• Ne pas introduire toutes les branches en même temps dans
la trémie de chargement. N’introduire qu’une branche à la fois
dans la trémie de chargement.
• Introduire le gros bout en premier, suivi des parties de taille
inférieure de la branche.
• Introduire le corps de la branche en premier.
• Introduire les branches et les feuilles en même temps que le
reste ou avec des sections de gros arbres.
• Ne pas broyer les matériaux courts et épais séparément.
Pour des raisons de sécurité, il est conseillé de les broyer en
même temps que les branches.
Avertissement
Ne jamais mettre les mains ou les doigts dans la trémie
de chargement. An de protéger autrui, ne pas laisser la
machine sans surveillance pendant qu’elle tourne.
1. Les branches allant jusqu’à 100 mm de diamètre peuvent être
broyées à l’aide de la goulotte de broyage. Le bois vert est
broyé beaucoup plus vite que le bois sec. Ne pas broyer de
bois contenant des clous.
Important
Ne pas déplacer la machine lorsque le moteur tourne.
L’inclinaison de la machine pourrait faire que l’huile
ne parvienne pas correctement au moteur et celui-ci
pourrait gripper.
2. Si le moteur ralentit de manière signicative pendant le
broyage, réduire la vitesse à laquelle les branches sont passées
dans la machine. Ainsi, on obtient des copeaux plus petits et
une meilleure durée de vie de la machine. On peut aussi vérier
si les lames sont émoussées.
3. Si le broyeur coince, le moteur doit être arrêté immédiatement
(s’il n’a pas déjà calé). Débrancher le câble de la bougie et
l’éloigner de la bougie. Enlever le matériau gênant avant de
redémarrer. Pour cela, il est parfois nécessaire d’abaisser la
grille de sécurité avant de retourner le mécanisme de broyage
et d’enlever le matériau du tube.
Remarque!
NE PAS continuer le broyage si la courroie d’entraînement
glisse ou produit de la fumée. Pour régler la courroie, voir les
informations d’entretien.
Avertissement
A. Ne pas pousser de matériaux dans la trémie de
chargement avec les mains. Utiliser une branche de
bois vert ou un morceau de bois tendre.
B. Porter des lunettes de protection.
C. Les petites branches sèches peuvent rebondir à
l’intérieur de la trémie de chargement.
Important
Ne pas essayer de déchiqueter des objets en verre ou
en métal, des bouteilles en plastique ou des pierres.
4. Porter des gants de protection lorsque l’on met de petites
branches dans la trémie de chargement, et tenir les branches
légèrement avant de les laisser aller, bien avant qu’elles ne
touchent les lames rotatives.
Important
Attention aux secousses brutales possibles lorsque les
branches sont entrainées dans le broyeur.
5. Surveiller la vitesse de chargement des matériaux dans la
trémie de chargement pour ne pas surcharger le moteur.
Essayer surtout d’éviter les changements rapides dans la
vitesse du moteur dus à une arrivée simultanée de matériaux
trop importante.
Préparation
1. Porter des lunettes de protection à tout moment lors de
l’utilisation de la machine. Un casque de protection pour les
oreilles est également recommandé, en particulier pour les
périodes d’utilisation prolongées.
2. Ne pas porter de vêtements lâches.
3. Avant le démarrage, vérier que toutes les vis, écrous, boulons

et autres xations sont bien serrés. Remplacer les autocollants
endommagés ou illisibles portant sur le fonctionnement et les
risques potentiels.
4. Avertissement
Faire très attention lors de la manipulation des carburants. Ils
sont inammables et leurs vapeurs explosives.
g) N’utiliser que les récipients agréés pour les
carburants.
h) Ne jamais enlever le bouchon d’essence ou ajouter
du carburant pendant que le moteur tourne. Laisser
refroidir le moteur avant d’ajouter du carburant. Ne
pas fumer pendant l’ajout de carburant.
i) Ne jamais ajouter du carburant dans un lieu clos.
j) Ne jamais ranger la machine ou les récipients
contenant du carburant dans un espace où se trouve
une amme nue, comme une chaudière.
k) Toujours bien remettre et resserrer le bouchon
d’essence après avoir ajouté du carburant.
l) En cas de déversement accidentel de carburant, ne
pas lancer le moteur avant d’avoir éloigné la machine
de la zone de déversement.
5. Vérier les niveaux d’huile et de carburant avant toute
utilisation.
6. Il est recommandé de faire un essai en marche pour vérier
que les pièces sont fermement connectées (pour plus
d’informations, voir le manuel du moteur)
7. Après l’essai initial, il est recommandé d’augmenter
progressivement la charge.
8. Si la machine commence à produire des bruits inhabituels ou
des vibrations anormales, arrêter immédiatement la machine
et la faire vérier par une personne agréée.
9. S’il reste beaucoup de matériaux non broyés, cela signie que
les lames doivent être aûtées ou que les intervalles doivent
être modiés. Emmener la machine chez un revendeur agréé
pour aûter ou changer les lames.
10. Si le mécanisme de découpe rencontre tout corps étranger
ou si la machine commence à produire des bruits ou
vibrations inhabituelles, éteindre immédiatement le moteur et
laisser s’arrêter la machine. Débrancher la bougie et suivre les
étapes suivantes:
1) Vérier que la machine n’est pas endommagée.
2) Remplacer ou réparer toute pièce endommagée.
3) Vérier que toutes les pièces sont bien attachées et
resserrer si besoin.
Montage
Tous les boulons, écrous et rondelles ont été xés à leur
emplacement prévu dans l’emballage.
Cette machine est lourde et volumineuse et comprend de nombreux
boutons et interrupteurs. Lors du montage de la machine,
demander conseil à un revendeur agréé ou à une personne qui
connaît bien la machine, pour garantir la bonne sécurité de tous.

Lors de l’installation, ne pas placer les mains ou toute
autre partie du corps dans le compartiment des lames.
