The insurance certificate pertains to JÄSPI TUPLA, TRIPLEX, ECOPUU, YPV 40, and VPK
hand filled solid-fuel boilers manufactured by our company.
We hereby certify that the entire development of the above boilers meets the safety
requirements as in Chapter 2.3 of Directive 97/23/EU.
Meeting major safety requirements specified in Chapters 2, 10, 2.11, 3, 4, and
Subparagraphs а) and d), Chapter 5, Appendix 1 of the directive becomes evident from the
entire unit installation and operation instructions.
The entire unit is manufactured based on the best manufacturing practices.

2. OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Firewood (coal, briquets) is burnt on the ceramic grate on the basis of the rotary /
lower combustion principle. Combustion air flows precisely where needed: to the
furnace top, onto the fire bar, and down the bar into the firing throat for the final
combustion phase to occur.
3. BOILER INSTALLATION
Always connect the burner to an energy storage battery of 500 to 2000 l as
appropriate for the application. For example, one fill of the furnace with dry birch
wood heats 1000 l of water / nonfreeze medium up to approximately 45ºC. For
equipment connection examples see Fig. 3 and 4.
Connect a 1.5 bar relief valve to the boiler nozzle ensuring that the steam blow
capacity of the valve matches the power of the boiler.
The pre-pressure of the membrane expansion tank must be e.g. 0.5 bar and the
volume of the tank must be at least 7 % of the entire water volume of the system.
Mount a deaeration valve onto the top of the system pipework.
The cooling coil provides even more safety. While installing the boiler, connect
the anti-boil thermal valve to the coil (optional supply).
For the valve connection see Fig. 2.
After filling the pipework connection, take care to ensure that potential leakage
could not damage the boiler.

4. BOILER OPERATION
Caution ! While filling and cleaning the furnace, keep in mind that the
background vertical brick (Part number 11) is not shock-resistant.
Use a small amount of firewood for the first burning process to avoid bar splitting
by boiling water that could soak in.
- To get wood suitably sized for the boiler, split it into three 1 m long parts and
then into four 12 cm section parts.
- Prior to operating the boiler, push the firing throat (16) against the back wall of
the furnace until it stops. The secondary air clearance h (Fig. 5) between the
front edge of the adjusting plate (30) of the firing throat and the brick of the fire
bar (14) must be 12 mm.
- Ajust the top air damper (24) to approx. 55 mm clearance.
- While firing, keep the ash port (25) and the lower air supply damper (26) closed
and the filling port (23) slightly open.
- To fire the boiler, put small splinters onto the rear bar (15) and fire them with
e.g. bitch bark. As splinters burn up, add more 8 to 10 wood parts approximately
30 mm thick onto the bar.
- In about 15 minutes, fill in the furnace with suitably sized wood. Put the wood
parts close to the back wall and to each other. Close the filling port and adjust
the clearance for the lower damper air supply (26) to about 40 mm.

5. BOILER CLEANING
Clean the boiler at the front. Remove ash from the bar brick (14).
Remove the firing throat (16) and shake ash out; thus, it is also used as an ash
box. Open the cleanout port (22), remove the turbulators (18 and 19), and clean
the ducts with the brush supplied in the boiler cleaning kit.

7. WARRANTY
The warranty is two years for the boiler and one year for the components.
The warranty is only valid if the boiler has been installed by an authorized
representative/dealer or with consent of the latter and in accordance with this
manual.
