TERMINOLOGY
Specific terminologies for the KOKO GPS Tracker Phone Watch:
Administrator: The primary account of the subscribers with highest
authority to set remote monitoring and control a watch.
APP: Application for Mobile phones.
Contacts: Registered phone number on the watch's contact list (phone
book), up to 1 contacts pre-defined by APP.
LBS: Location Based Service, an assistant positioning method to locate
the watch via cell tower ID.
Registration: Register a user account to use the APP by e-mail
address.
Subscriber: Who can connect with the watch by registering a user
account on the APP. A single watch can connect with up to
subscribers. All of the subscribers can send text/voice message to
that watch via the internet and can track it, locating its position.

GETTING STARTED
CHARGING YOUR WATCH
Please charge your watch before switching it
on. It is easy to charge the battery using the
USB cable with the magnetic probe end.
You may need to wait a few seconds to see
the charging status showing on screen after
the USB cable is connected.
Note: Charge with DC5V/500mA USB adapter or by PC/Laptop's USB port.
SWITCH ON YOUR KOKO
Press the Power button for 3 seconds to switch on your watch.
Date & Time and Weather information will sync automatically after a while.
Note: The watch is splash proof, but it is suggested that users do not wear it
to bathe, to swim or in other places where the watch may be submersed in
water.

You can also search for KOKO Watch on iTunes or Google Play store to
download the APP.
For the KOKO Watch APP, the following permissions need to be enabled:
•Locate position
•Read / Receive text messages (SMS)
•Send SMS messages
•Take pictures
•Approximate location (GPS and network-based)
•Precise location (GPS and network-based)
•Connect WiFi
•View network & WiFi connections

ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
For new APP users, tap New Account to register by e-mail address.
Please select your server region.
Tip: You can keep tracking the watch even if you fly to another region (Asia,
Europe or America). Just create a new account for the new region.
The e-mail will be used for resetting your login password if it is lost for any
reason.
It is recommended not to use the same password for your e-mail account and
the APP.
The APP logs in automatically once the account has been registered.

CONNECT A WATCH TO KOKO WATCH APP
You can add a new watch (and be the
administrator of that watch, if no one has
added it before), or accept an invitation from
the current administrator of the APP to create
a connection to a specific watch.
If a watch is already subscribed to an
Administrator, it must be unsubscribed by the
current administrator before a new APP user
adds it as its new administrator.
Press watch's Menu button to enter the “QR
Code”, and then press Call button to display
the unique QR Code of watch to scan.
KOKO WATCH'S PROFILE
You can edit the watch's photo, nickname,
gender, height and weight, etc.
*The pedometer information shown on KOKO
Watch / APP, depends on the calculation
according to the above profile settings
(male/female, height, weight, etc).

USING THE KOKO WATCH APP

5. Latest location & information:
Positioning method.
Cell signal of the watch.
Battery status.
Approximate location precision of the watch is normally a range
between 10 and 20 meters.
When satellite or cell tower signal is unstable, approx. range can't be
defined by the APP, then it will indicate “Unstable location signal
received, possible mis-location”.
6. Locating the watch:
Quick: WiFi locating priority, without GPS locating, best for in-building
locating purpose.
Normal: WiFi locating priority, auto change to GPS/LBS locating if the
location is surrounded by less than 3 crowd-sourced WiFi hotspots.

GPS: For outdoors locating purpose. If the watch is not within a clear
line of sight to GPS satellites in three minutes, it will use crowd-sourced
WiFi and cell tower (LBS) locating.
7. Voice Chat:
APP to Watch: Voice / Text.
Watch to APP: Voice.
*Voice and text chat transmitted by GPRS data but not by SMS.
8. Voice Call:
Monitor: Call the watch for one-way listening. Works for the
administrator only. Any other phone number can't call the Watch in
monitor mode.
Call: Call the watch for two way voice talk.
9. Connected watch list: All watches added to the list. Add a new watch
by tapping the + icon (up to ).

Route: Review route history. Tap the arrow
point to view detailed information.
Geo-fence zones:
Two type Geo-fence zones optional:
subscriber's APP receives push notifications
when the watch enters or exits the
designated areas.
Geo-fence zone's accuracy depends on the
satellite / WiFi / cell towers signals.
If the APP receive false alarm when the
watch is close to boundaries, please check
the current location of the watch by tapping
“Locate” on APP.
Subscribers:
Up to APP accounts can be connected with a watch.
Only the Administrator has the power to subscribe/unsubscribe a watch,
change watch settings, add/remove contact numbers, etc.
Note: Unsubscribe a watch will delete all settings and the watch itself
will return back to factory settings.
Contacts:
Only the first phone number on the contact list can receive SMS and
call alert.
Watch can receive phone calls from the contact list ONLY. Phone calls
from other numbers will be ignored by the watch automatically. This
function is designed to protect it from receiving anonymous call.

The Watch can select a contact and make a phone call on Menu >
Contacts. If contact's phone can't communicate with the watch, you
may need to add the country code to the phone number.
Friends:
To expand connections and have fun, a KOKO Watch can find other
KOKO Watches nearby, and add them as friend (up to 5 friends per
watch).
Voice chat with friends by the watch menu is easy and interesting.
Notifications:
KOKO Watch APP receives a push notification on your phone if watch:
•Call alert.
•Low Battery.
•Enters/Exits Geo-fence zones.
Push Notification requires mobile device online connectivity, therefore
you may miss notifications if your mobile phone doesn't have internet
connection.

More Function Settings:
•Remote Control:
Tap “Find Watch” to make the
watch ring and vibrate.
Switch off the watch remotely.
•Power Saving Mode:
Watch locating by “WiFi / LBS only”
on route tracking, provides battery
saving ad v a n t ages. If m o r e
precision is preferred, this mode
has to be switched off.
The APP will continue locating the
watch via GPS satellite by tapping
“Locate” - “GPS” to check watch's
current location if needed.
•Location Interval:
The watch auto locating and uploading of position data interval.
The longer the interval, the longer the battery will be preserved.
Note: 30 seconds setting for outdoor real-time location tracking
purpose, it defaults to GPS locating. Setting as 30 seconds will
result in the battery power draining fast.
•Disable manual power-off:
By using this function, the watch can't switch off by pressing the
Power button. This is designed to prevent child or other persons
who want to switch off the watch without permission.
•School Mode:
Sets a school timed gap so kid can't play with the watch in class.

•Alarm Clock:
The alarm clock can be used for morning clock or other alarms,
such as Medication reminder for elderly or patient, etc.
•Schedule Power on/off:
Settings a schedule to auto switch on/off the watch.

Power / Exit button
•Standby: Press and hold for 3 seconds to Power
on/off. Short press to check pedometer details.
•On Menu: Press to Exit.
•Calling: Press to End/Cancel phone call.
Call / Enter button
•Call Alert: Press and hold for 3 seconds to make a
call alert.
•On Menu: Press to Enter / Confirm.
•Calling: Press to Answer phone call.
Menu / Next button
•Menu: Press to enter Menu, press again for next.
•Family / Private / Voice Chat: Press and hold to
record voice.

Cell signal indicator
KOKO Watch comes with SIM Card which supports international
roaming. Please reboot it when roaming to another country.
GPRS Data usage indicator
•GPRS data connection success.
It may take few seconds or minutes to get data connection after
power on.
•GPRS data connection lost.
Watch can't upload location to APP and can't voice chat with
others if seeing this on the watch.
Note: Watch will automatically vibrate & reboot if data
connection is lost for more than 5 minutes.
Date & Time and Weather information will synchronize
automatically after the GPRS data connects again.

Press the Menu button to select different menus.
Press the Call button to enter a selected menu.
Press the Menu button again to go to the next option, and Call button
for confirm/enter.
Press the Power button to exit the current menu.
•Contacts:
Select a person on contact list and call out.
•Family Chat:
Voice chat with all six APP subscribers.
•Private Chat:
Voice chat with a specific APP subscriber or a friend.
•Voice Messages:
When a voice message is received from an APP subscriber, the watch
will notify by a sound and vibration, you can press the Call button to
listen the voice message and reply by pressing and holding the Menu
button while playing.
The watch stores recent voice messages according to its memory. The
previous voice messages will be replaced by latest incoming messages.
•Text Messages:
When a text message is received from APP subscriber (not the SMS
text message from mobile phone directly), the watch will notify by a
sound and vibration and will show the message on screen directly. You
can press the Menu button to view previous messages one by one.
The watch stores ten recent text messages. The precious text
messages will be replaced by latest incoming message.

To reply to the received messages, go to the Family Chat or Private
Chat menu to select and reply messages.
•Find Friends:
A watch can find other watches nearby (the other watches have to be
on working status). Then you can add them as friends.
Go to the Find Friends menu, then press Call button. The watch will
auto search for other watches nearby, and it will show the watch's name
if found. Press Call button to send an invitation and wait for confirmation
from that watch (user).
Voice chat with friends by Private Chat menu.
A watch can connect with a maximum of 5 friends. Open the APP to
remove connected friends on More > Friends.
•QR Code:
A watch has a unique QR code for connecting to the APP. Open the QR
Code menu item and press Call button to display the QR Code on
screen while adding the watch to the APP.
If the watch has an Administrator already, then you cannot add it by
scanning the QR Code from the APP. You need to register an account
by e-mail address and ask the Administrator to send an invitation to
connect with the watch, or ask the Administrator to unsubscribe the
watch before you add it to your APP.
•Settings:
- Language.
- Time Format: 12 or 24 hours type options.
- Version: Showing the Serial Number, PLMN, APN name, Firmware
version and latest firmware updated time.

FAQs
. Why can't my watch switch on?
This is most likely due to a totally discharged battery. Please charge
your watch and wait for it to switch on automatically.
2. Why can't I charge the battery?
Please make sure that the battery charger is connected tightly and
correctly. If the watches temperature goes too high, it will enter
protection mode automatically and stop the charging. Remove the
charger wait for a few hours and try again.
3. What's the battery life?
The watch has an inbuilt 400mAH Li-ion polymer battery which offers
non-stop power supply of approximately 48 hours (with the auto
locating & uploading interval set at every 5 minutes). *Signal strength,
Phone call, voice chat or other actions will have an impact on the
battery life.
4. Why can't I scan the QR code with my APP?
Please adjust the distance between your phone and the watch, or move
to a location with sufficient light and try scanning again.

5. Why does my watch show incorrect date/time and weather info?
Your watch obtains date & time information from the mobile network
operator and synchronizes the weather forecast from your local internet
server. If the information is incorrect please make sure that the watch is
registered to a mobile network and connected to the internet via GPRS
data.
6. Can anyone call my watch?
Only the phone numbers which are on the contact list can call your
watch and only the first phone number on the contact list can receive a
call alert text. This is to ensure you won't receive calls & messages from
unwanted persons.
7. Can I call anyone I want from the watch?
You can call a maximum of 1 people from your contact list. You can
call someone from the list by selecting the person from the Menu >
Contact. It is easy and safe because no one can see the contact's
phone number on the watch.
8. Can anyone text my watch?
Only subscribers can send you text message via APP.
9. About the location accuracy.
The KOKO Watch uses a combination of GPS, WiFi and cellular to
determine location. The location accuracy depending on available
signal strength and surrounding conditions. If the watch is not within a
clear line of sight to GPS satellites, it will use crowd-sourced WiFi and
cell tower locations to determine watch's location.
