Please keep the following in mind as you unpack and install this equipment:

Do not apply power into FW-7650 before installation or when disconnecting this
product from its original system setup.

Never push an object of any kind into this product through openings or empty slots, as
you may damage parts.

unavailable safety grounds.
Avoid installation of this product during a lighting storm.

Getting Started
1.1 Introduction

The FW-7650 is a 1U rackmount network security solution targeting the Enterprise market.
The FW-7650 supports Petium4 /Celeron processor with 400/533MHz FSB. It is designed
with an Intel 845GV as its northbridge and ICH4(82801DB) as its southbridge.; To enhance
network security appliance, FW-7650 comes with Intel 82540EM & 82551QM Ethernet chips
and six Ethernet LAN ports from 10/100Mbit up to Gigabit to provide an ideal
price/performance solution for building a wide range of desktop and set top boxes to thin
clients and web terminals powerful computing and multimedia performance for all the most
popular productivity and Internet applications.
Designed with the Plug-and-Serve concept in mind, the FW-7650 Series offers two DDR
200/266/333 DIMM Socket support up to 2GB RAM which provide full functionality and
performance to be used "exactly" where you need it as well. In addition, one ATA mode
CompactFlash type II socket used in installing OS avoiding service disruption caused by hard
disk's mechanical/magnetic failures.
The FW-7650 has a Mini PCI slot, users can expand their specifications and performance by
simply adding add-on cards to the slot. The FW-7650 is a powerful and flexible unit that can
meet the vast and various hardware requirement and performance needs of System Integrators,
OEM customers and software developers.
