Operation
The BOSE system can be controlled by the BEO4 in the following modes:
TV, RADIO, SAT/DTV, DVD, CD, VTAPE/VMEM, ATAPE/AMEM
In order to change mode on the BOSE system:
For TV mode, activate BEO4 TV
For RADIO mode, activate BEO4 RADIO
For CAB-SAT mode, activate BEO4 SAT or DTV
For DVD mode, activate BEO4 DVD
For CD mode, activate BEO4 CD
For VCR mode, activate BEO4 VTAPE or VMEM
For HARDDISK mode (STORED), activate BEO4 ATAPE or AMEM
In order to control the most BOSE features, we had to work around a few obstacles.
Menu/Settings
In any mode, in order to get access to the BOSE menu, activate the ”YELLOW” button
which brings up the BOSE menu on the TV. Also it allows you to use all four directions
key on the BEO4 to navigate in the BOSE menu. The GO button will act as ENTER.
Activate ”EXIT” to skip the menu. This will bring the direction keys back the normal
operation.
DVD menu
In DVD mode, in order to get access to the DVD menu, activate the ”RED” button which
brings up the DVD menu on the TV. Also it allows you to use all four directions key on the
BEO4 to navigate in the DVD menu. The GO button will act as ENTER.
Activate ”EXIT” to skip the menu. This will bring the direction keys back the normal
operation.
Speakers 2-3-5
In any mode, in order to adjust the surround load-speaker sound level, activate the
”BLUE” button. Adjust sound level by ”<<” and ”>>”.
Activate ”EXIT” to skip Speaker 2-3-5 mode.
Shuffle
Activate ”RANDOM - GO” in any mode.
Repeat
Activate ”REPEAT - GO” in any mode.
Pause
Activate ”STOP” in any mode.
Stop
Activate ”STOP - STOP” in any mode.
The following BOSE features cannot be controlled from the BEO4:
MUTE ALL
GUIDE
0 - 9 and Standby keep the same functionality in any mode.
