Before you start…
Proper use of the product
The unit is designed to cut lawn areas in pri-
vate house and hobby gardens.
The unit may not be used commercially.
The device may only be used in accordance
with the specifications listed in the operating
instructions.
Any unintended use or any activities on the
device not described in these operating
instructions are an unauthorized misuse out-
side the manufacturer’s legal liability limits.
What are the meanings of the symbols
used?
In the operating instructions
Notes indicating danger and other notes are
clearly identified in the instruction manual.
The following symbols are used:
These symbols identify the required personal
protection equipment.
On the product
Symbols appearing on your product may not
be removed or covered. Signs on the product
that are no longer legible must be replaced
immediately.

General safety information
• The user of the device must have read
and understood these operating instruc-
tions prior to its first use for save handling
of this device.
• Please comply with all safety instructions!
If you disregard any of the safety instruc-
tions you may place yourself and others
at risk.
• Store all operating information and safety
instructions for future reference.
• Keep children away from the device.
Keep the device away from children and
unauthorized persons.
• All components of the device, in particu-
lar, the safety mechanisms must be
assembled correctly in order to ensure
trouble-free operation.
• Conversions, independent modifications
and the use of non-approved parts are
not permitted.
Operation/workplace
• The device must only be used when it
functions properly. If the device or part of
the device is defective, it must be
repaired by a specialist.
• Always comply with the all applicable
domestic and international safety, health,
and working regulations.

• The device may only be put into opera-
tion if no defects are found when it is
checked. If a part is defective it must be
replaced before the device is used again.
• Individuals under the age of 16 and those
not familiar with the operation of the
device should not be allowed to operate
the device.
• People who do not have the physical,
mental or sensory abilities to operate the
tool carefully and safety may not be per-
mitted to use it.
• Make sure to always wear personal pro-
tective clothing when operating (►Per-
sonal protective clothing– p.6).
• Exercise caution and only work when in
good condition: If you are tired, ill, if you
have ingested alcohol, medication or ille-
gal drugs, do not use the device since
you are not in a condition to use it safely.
• Never mow when other people, particu-
larly children, or animals are in the vicin-
ity.
• Remember that the operator or user is
responsible for accidents involving other
people or their property.
Maintenance
• Only those maintenance and fault elimi-
nation tasks described here may be car-
ried out. Any other tasks must be com-
pleted by a specialist.
• Check all screws regularly to ensure that
they sit tight.
• Only use original replacement parts. Only
these spare parts are designed and suit-
able for the device. Other replacement
parts will not only lead to an invalidation
of the warranty, they may also endanger
you and your environment.
Storage and transportation
• Always store the device in a dry location.
• Protect the device from becoming dam-
aged prior to transport.
• Always carry the unit with the handle,
never grasp the cutting mechanism.
Tool-specific notes
• Before starting work check the area and
remove all objects which may damage
the cutting mechanism.
• Always ensure sufficient distance to the
cutting mechanism.
• Only use unit at walking speed.
• Only work with good light and visibility.
• The clothing of the operator should be
close-fitting. Avoid wearing loosely fitting
clothing. Wear sturdy footwear and long
work trousers.
• Ensure that no other people or animals
are located in the area you are working in.
• When changing direction on a slope, be
particularly careful.
• Always work at right angles to the slope.
• Pay attention when walking backwards.

Mounting the handle

– Connect the handle(1) and the intermedi-
ate sections(2) using the cross-headed
screws and toggle nuts and screw
together.
– Connect the lower handle section(3)
using the cross-headed screws and tog-
gle nuts to the intermediate sections(2)
and screw together.

– Press the lower sections of the handle
together and slot into the bolts(9).
Mounting the cuttings bag

– Attach the mounting bar(12), with the
hooks pointing downwards, to the stabili-
sation bar(10).
►P.4, item5
– Now stretch out the bag(7) and fix the
bars with the plastic clips(13).
Operation
Check before starting the device!
Check to make sure the device is in safe
operating condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible
defects.
– Check to make sure all device compo-
nents are correctly mounted.
Preparation
Set the cutting height
The cutting height can be set to one of the
four different heights. (cutting heights:
►Technical data– p.8).

– Pull out the bolt mechanism(6) and use
the support roller(14) to set the height.
– Let the bolt mechanism(6) slot back into
place.
– Do the same on the other side.
Attaching the cuttings bag
►P.4, item7
– Hang the mounting bar(12) of the bag(7)
onto the axis of the support roller(14).
►P.4, item8
– Fix the bag(7) using the straps(8) to the
lower handle section(3).

Before each use
Cleaning the device
Clean unit immediately after every use. Dried
grass remains are very hard, and are very dif-
ficult to remove.
– Remove grass remains with a brush, and
a plastic scraper if required (do not use
sharp implements).
– Remove deposits on the wheels.
– Wipe the tool with a damp cloth.
– Never clean the unit with water or high-
pressure stream.
Setting the cutting mechanism
The cutting mechanism is preset ex works.
After a longer period of use it may need to be
readjusted.
• If the blades are too loose, the cutting
pattern is rough and uneven.
• If the blades are too tight, the unit will
become noisy and difficult to push.

– Set the hexagonal screw(15) on both
sides of the unit in such a way that the
lower blade(16) and the spindle
blade(17) can barely be heard touching.
Turn the hexagonal screw clockwise to move
the lower blade towards the spindle blade.

Note: Guide the unit at an even, slow
pace (walking speed) and with as
straight a path as possible.
Try not be cut grass when wet.
Use overlapping paths to produce
and even cutting pattern.
Cut longer grass with a greater cut-
ting height initially, then cut cross-
wise using the desire cutting height.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Carry out
the maintenance work described
here in person.
Improper maintenance work can
damage the device and lead to inju-
ries.

Turn the hexagonal screw anti-clockwise to
move the lower blade away from the spindle
blade.
Cutting test
– Turn the lawn mower upside down.
– Hold a piece of paper between lower
blade(16) and the spindle(17) and turn
the spindle carefully by hand.
All of the blades should cut the paper evenly
along the entire length of the lower blade.
The spindle should turn freely.
Storage, transportation
Storage
– Clean unit before storing.
– Grease the blades lightly if you intend to
store for an extended period of time.
– Store the unit in a dry place.
Transportation
– When dispatching, try to use the original
packaging, if possible.
Disposal
Disposing of the device
Contact your community authorities for infor-
mation regarding the correct disposal of the
device.
By disposing of the device correctly you are
ensuring that it will be recycled or processed
for reuse. This helps prevent hazardous
material from entering the environment.
Disposing of the packaging
The packaging is made of cardboard and
separately labelled foil which is also recycla-
ble.
– Take these materials to a recycling cen-
tre.
Troubleshooting
What to do when something doesn’t
work…
Malfunctions are often caused by minor
faults. You can easily remedy most of these
yourself. Please consult the following table
before contacting the vendor. You will save
yourself a lot of trouble and possibly money
too.
If you can’t fix the fault yourself, contact your
nearest vendor. Please be aware that any
improper repairs will also invalidate the war-
ranty and additional costs may be incurred.
Technical data
DANGER! Risk of cuts! When car-
rying out a cutting test always wear
protective gloves.
Note: Always adjust both hexagonal
screws evenly.
Set the hexagonal screws gently and
carefully.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Store the
unit in such a way that it cannot be
started by unauthorised persons.
Ensure that no one is able to hurt
themselves on the stored unit.
NOTICE! Machine damage! Do not
stored unprotected in a damp envi-
ronment.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Unprofes-
sional repairs may mean that your
unit will no longer operate safely.
This endangers you and your envi-
ronment.

Κανονική χρήση σύμφωνα με τις
διατάξεις
Το εργαλείο προορίζεται για την κοπή επι-
φανειών από γκαζόν σε ιδιωτικούς ή ερασι-
τεχνικούς κήπους.
Το εργαλείο δεν επιτρέπεται να χρησιμοποι-
ηθεί για επαγγελματική χρήση.
Το εργαλείο πρέπει να χρησιμοποιηθεί σύμ-
φωνα με τις υποδείξεις των οδηγιών χρή-
σης.
Κάθε ακατάλληλη χρήση και κάθε ενέργεια
στο προϊόν αυτό που δεν περιγράφεται στις
παρούσες οδηγίες χρήσης θεωρείται μη επι-
τρεπτή εσφαλμένη χρήση εκτός των νομι-
κών ορίων ευθύνης του κατασκευαστή.
Πώς ερμηνεύονται τα σύμβολα που
χρησιμοποιούνται;
Στις οδηγίες χρήσης
Οι υποδείξεις για κινδύνους και οι υποδείξεις
επισημαίνονται με σαφήνεια στις οδηγίες
χρήσης. Χρησιμοποιούνται τα ακόλουθα
σύμβολα:
Με αυτά τα σύμβολα επισημαίνεται ο απα-
ραίτητος προσωπικός εξοπλισμός προστα-
σίας.
Στη συσκευή
Δεν επιτρέπεται να απομακρύνετε ή να
καλύπτετε τα σύμβολα που βρίσκονται στη
συσκευή. Πρέπει να αντικαθιστάτε αμέσως
τις υποδείξεις στη συσκευή όταν πλέον δεν
