TheMXT141isanexcellentelectronicautomobiledevice,whichmainfeatureistracking.Itis
responsibleforreadingandprocessinginformationfromvehicle,alsoprovidesthecommunication
interfacewithapplicationfromTrackingCentral.
ItisequippedwithaGPSreceiverthatreadseachfractionofseconds,allinformationof
positioning,timezone,displacement,directionandvehiclespeed.
MXT141alsoreadstheignitionstatus,panicsensorandodometerinformation,otherinternal
sensorsandpowersupply.
TheonlinestructureofcommunicationbetweenMXT141andTrackingCentral,isbasedon
GSM/GPRStechnology.

Antitheft
MXT141hasanAnti‐theftsystemwhichinhibitsthieves’actions.Withthisdevice,alloutputcan
beactivatedwhenvehicleisturnedoff.E.g.:Iftheoutputisconnectedtoelectronicactuatorslike
blocksystem,buzzerorluminousalert,theycanbeactivated,i.e.,vehicleblockedandalerts
started.
GeneralSettings
ThesetupoftheAnti‐theftsystemcanbeaccessedonMXTPCtool>“Configurations”>sheet
“Anti‐theft”.Whenconfiguredproperly,theAnti‐theftfunctionwilltakeMXT141throughthefour
differentstates:
•Normal:(outputdisabled).Anti‐theftsystemwaitingthestatusexchangefromany
monitoreditems.Anti‐theftsystemtakesonthisstatusafterbedeactivatedbydriveror
ControlCenter;
•Armed:(outputdisabled).Takesonthisstatusafterdriveractiononvehicle(turnoff
ignition,openandclosedoor,orevenmovewithignitionturnedoff).Anti‐theftsystem
waitsthestatusexchangeofignition,doororG‐Sensortobealarmed;
•Alarmed:(outputactivated).TakesonthisstatuswhendriverdoesnotdisabletheAnti‐
theftsystemafterturnonignition,movewithignitionturnedonorevenafteropenand
closethedoor;
•Suspended:(outputdeactivated).WhenParkingModeisconfigured,Anti‐theftcanbe
suspendedbydriverorControlCenter.Whenitissuspended,MXT141activatesthe
ParkingModesoitdoesnotexchangeitsstatustoanother.Anti‐theftsystemleaves
ParkingModeafterreceivesacommandfromdriverorControlCenter.

Anti‐theftsettings
Thefield“EnableAnti‐theft”makesthedevicecheckcontinuallythestatusofignitiontobe
activated.Dependingonthetimesettedinthefield“AlarmedmodeTimer”aftertheignitionbe
turnedonagain,thestatusofAnti‐theftsystemwillchangefrom“Armed”to“Alarmed”.
Assoonastheignitionisturnedon,thePanicButtonmustbepressedwithin20seconds(*)after,
otherwise,alloutputswillbeactivatedanditsstatuswillchangeto“Alarmed”.
TheAnti‐theftsystemcanbedisarmedatanytimebypressingthepanicButton(DriverIdentifier
orInput1).
(*)ThetimertoenteronAlarmedmodecanbesettedonthefield“AlarmedModeTimer”.

Thefield“EnableLocalParking”allowsthestatusofAnti‐theftsystemchangesto“Suspended”
whendriverneedtoturnoffthevehiclewithoutactivatingtheAnti‐theftsystem.
AfterbeconfiguredtoenteronLocalParking,todisabletheAnti‐theft,thedrivermustpressthe
panicbuttonthreetimeswithignitionon.TheAnti‐theftsystemwillhaveitsstatuschangedto
“Suspended”.Whenonthisstatus,evenifignitionbeturnedon,theAnti‐theftsystemwillnot
haveanyeffectonMXT141.ToexchangeAnti‐theftsystemto“Normal”mode,thedrivermust
pressthepanicbuttonthreetimeswithignitionon.

maskoneormoreoutputstomakeMXT141,activateonlytheonewhichwasnotmasked.
Thefields“Output1mask”areusedtomasktheoutputsofMXT141,whentheyaresettedas
“True”.So,onlytheoutputsettedas“False”willbeactivatedwhenthestatusofAnti‐theftsystem
exchangesto“Alarmed”.

datagramhas:

•I/Osstatus;
•InformationofRPM,Odometer,PanicButton,etc.
TomakeinformationbereceivedbyWebServerisnecessarythedevicebeconnectedtoaGSM
Providerthatwillforwarddatathroughinternettotheserversettedondevice.Thissettingis
madeonMXTPCToolSoftware,anditisusedtosetupthedeviceinformationandthewayitworks.
RS232Communication
MXT141canbeconnectedthroughserialportofPCforsetup,firmwareupdateandreadingof
positionswithMXTPCtool,deliveredbyMaxtrack.MoreinformationaboutMXTPCtoolis
availableonitsSoftwareManual.
SMSCommunication
BesidestheGPRScommunicationwiththeserver,MXTfamilyequipmentscanexchange
informationwithacellphonethroughSMS.Onthismode,itcansendregularinformation
capturedbytheGPS,equipmentstatusinformation,GPRSandGPSnetworkinformation,along
withtextmessagestothecontrolcenter.ItcanalsoreceivecommandssendasSMSfromacell
phone.

TheSMSCommunicationsetupismadeonMXTPCtool>“Configuration”>sheet“SMS”.When
setted,MXT141willsendmessagestoacellphonewithGPRSSendingIntervalconfiguredon
“Configurations”sheet“PositionsPacketsSending”.E.g.:ifthefield“SendingIntervalinStopped”
issettedwithvalue30,each30secondstheMXT141willsendaSMS.
