Assembling and Setting Up the Tire Rack
Always wear ANSI approved
safety goggles.
1. Refer to photo above of an already as-
sembled Tire Rack, and other photos on this
page. Also see Assembly Diagram at end of
this manual.
2. Plan for the proper location of the Tire
Rack. The product must be attached to a
wall surface with vertical studs. The Left
Upright Support (4) and Right Upright Sup-
port (17) are mounted to the studs, and can
be positioned between 32” and 48” (center
to center) apart. Use a stud nder (not in-
cluded) to nd the desired mounting position,
and measure the desired width of the Tire
Rack depending on the size of the tires to be
placed on the rack.
Note: the Tire Rack must be mounted di-
rectly into the wall studs; do not use wall
anchors to mount to plasterboard.
3. Locate the Left Upright Support (4)
and Right Upright Support (17). With both
supports up against the wall surface, make
sure they are vertically level to each other,
and equal distance from the oor; measure
the top mounting hole position.
4. Pre-drill top mounting holes and use Lag
Screw (18) through the top mounting hole of
each Upright Support to hold in place. Do
not tighten Lag Screw completely at this
time.
5. Check to see that both Upright Sup-
ports (4, 17) are vertically level, then mark
the center and lower mounting holes for
each support. Pre-drill holes and insert two
more Lag Screws (18) in each Upright Sup-
port to secure in place. Fully tighten all Lag
Screws.
6. Connecting Small and Large Round
Tubes (16, 15) to Horizontal Supports (7).
Insert Small Round
Tube (16) into Large
Round Tube (15).
Connect the end of
each Tube to the
Horizontal Support
(7) using Bolt (11)
with Spring Washer (12). Repeat for the
other Small/Large Round Tube.
Note: Small/Large Round Tubes can be
positioned in several locations along the
Horizontal Support depending on the size of
the tires to be held on the Tire Rack.
See the information below showing rec-
ommended Round Tube locations de-
pending on the outer diameter of the tires
to be placed on the Tire Rack:

bly in place. See photo below.
8. Check for tightness of all hardware. The
Tire Rack is ready for use.
9. Carefully lift the tires onto the Tire Rack.
For safety, always use straps or cables
(neither included) to securely keep the tires
in place on the Tire Rack. Loop the straps
or cables through the wheel rims and around
the Horizontal Supports of the Tire Rack.
Secure straps or cables with padlock (not
included) or other locking device.
10. The Tire Rack can be folded up when
not in use. Simply remove both R-Pins (8)
and Pin Assemblies (9), and slowly and care-

tal Round Tube (15, 16), and slowly press

until the Tire Rack is folded against the wall.
See photo (upper right on this Page).
