Thisdrillhasbeendesignedtoholdawiderangeofdrillscurrentlyon
themarket.
Theassemblycanberaisedorloweredtosetthedesireddrillheight.
TheDrillClampincorporatesatwopositionhooksystemforlargeand
smalldrillhousings,andtheclamprugitselfisflexibletoholdthe
housingsthatarenotroundinsection.
Thehandlecanbefittedforrightorlefthandoperators.


Assembly
1)Firstcheckforanysignsofshippingdamage(Pleasereportanydamageto
yoursupplierassoonaspossible)
2)Placetheassemblyonasuitableworksurfacewiththepillarsattheback.
3)Decideifyourequirerighthandedorlefthandedfacilitiesasthismachine
catersforboth.Fitthehandleintotheslotinthepillarhead.

Pushingtheleverdownwhilstatthesametimegentlyinsertingitshouldengage
thefulcrumofthehandleintothesocket.

4)Fitthedrillintothearm,sothatnoswitchesetc.areobscured.
Hookthecatchstirrupontohook,bestsuitedtoyourdrillandclampinplace.

Note:Ifyourdrillistoosmallyoumayneedtopadtheclampoutwithasoft
materialormakesomesortofadaptor.Ifyourdrillistoolarge,thenyoumay
havetosourcesomeassistancefromalocalengineeringcompanytomachine
somematerialoffthecontactareasintheclamp.


5)Pushthecableofthedrillintotheslotinthepillarheadandlockinplace
withthecabletie.Thecabletieisreleasable/reusable,soitcanbe
unfastenedtoremovethedrill.











6)Whenthedrillbitisfittedinthedrillitmaybenecessarytoadjustthe
heightofthedrillassembly,asyouonlyneedapproximately57mm
clearancebetweenthedrilltipandthePCBmaterial.

Todothisundothecatchonthepillarheadandgentlylowerorraisethe
assemblyonthepillarstothedesiredposition.Refastentheclamp

NOTE:ThisclampisdesignedonlytotaketheweightoftheDrillAssembly.
Donotoverload.



Operation
Withthespindleofthedrillrunning,useonehandtoalignandholdthe
PCBinplace.Thencarefullyuseyourotherhandtooperatethehandle
todrillahole.

IMPORTANTNOTE
Alwayswearsuitableeyeprotection.



Maintenance
Toensureatroublefreeoperationandtoextendthelifeoftheproduct,
applyasmallamountoflubricanttothebushes,whichslideonthe
pillarstobesuretowipeoffanyexcesslubricant.

Avoidlubricatingtheclampareaofthepillarhead,asthismayimpair
theperformance.Wipedrytheseareasifthisdoesoccur.









