The procedure how to format your SD card with MV500
1. Make sure your MV500 is powered off, and then open SD cover of Take-it MV500 as below
illustration
2. Insert and push SD Card (1Giga Byte) into the compartment until you hear a “click” sound, and
make sure SD card is secured in the compartment well, after that, close SD cover of MV500.
3. Power up MV500 and check the recording time of MV500 in Video Mode as below illustration.
4. Press “ MENU “ Button of MV500, and then get to the “ Video Setting “ mode of MV500 as below
illustration.
Here is the setting of MV500 in Video Mode.
03 :18 :28 means the memory capacity of
MV500 still can take a video recording for 3
hours, 18 minutes and 28 seconds at the
setting with 320 x 240 pixels / normal mode in
Video Mode.

5. Press “ Right Arrow “ Button of MV500, and then get to the “ Setup “ Mode of MV500 as below
illustration.
6. Press “ Down Arrow “ Button of MV500, and then scroll it down to “ FORMAT “, after that, press
“ Right Arrow “ Button of MV500, and view the message in display as below illustration.

7. Press “ Down Arrow “ Button of MV500, and then click “ OK “ Button of MV500, after that, MV500
will start to format SD card, and the message in display will show “ BUSY “ as below illustration.
8. Complete to format SD card in MV500, and then press “ Down Arrow “ Button of MV500 until you
scroll to USB icon of MV500, and make sure the setting is in USB Mode.

9. Press “ MENU “ Button of MV500 twice, and then exit the setting of MV500 from “ Setup “ mode.
10. Power off MV500.
The procedure how to transfer Video / Photo files in MV500 from MV500 to your PC
1. Complete to install the driver of Take-it MV500 under PC Windows system at first.
2. Power up MV500 and open LCD panel with 90 degrees rotation, and then connect USB cable from
PC to MV500 as below illustration.
3. If LCD screen show you the message as “ USB mode “ in display after USB connection between
PC and MV500, it means your camera setting is in USB mode now, by this way, you can copy the
file from camera to PC directly.
Scroll to USB icon , and make
sure the setting is in USB Mode.
Make sure PC and MV500 are powered
on prior to plugging in the USB cable.

Exit the setting of MV500 from “ Setup
“ mode to “ Video “ Mode.

4. If camera setting is in USB mode, you will not find the device information in Device Manager of
Control Panel under PC Windows system. But you will find out the information of removable disk
from Explorer of Windows system, the disk information of Take-it MV500 in PC Windows system
will show you as below illustration.
If camera setting is in USB mode, and then the LCD
screen will show the message “ USB Mode “ as left
illustration after USB connection from PC to camera :
Take-it MV500.
This message “ USB Mode “ will show up in LCD
screen for few seconds only.
All of Video / Photo files in camera will
save in folder G: Dicm / 100_mtdv /.
G : is an icon of removable disk for
camera : Take-it MV500 under PC
Windows system.
