mask.
Under the effect of extreme electromagnetic interferences from
the outside, temporary variations in the speed of rotation could
arise in particular cases.
SPECIFIED CONDITIONS OF USE
The rotary pneumatic hammer can be used for hammer drilling
and drilling in wood, metal as well as plastic.
Do not use this product in any other way as stated for normal
use.
MAINS CONNECTION
Connect only to single-phase a.c. current and only to the
system voltage indicated on the rating plate. It is also
possible to connect to sockets without an earthing contact as
the design conforms to safety class II.
EXTENSION CORDS
Grounded tools require a three wire extension cord. Double
insulated tools can use either a two or three wire extension
cord. As the distance from the supply outlet increases, you
must use a heavier gauge extension cord. Using extension
cords with inadequately sized wire causes a serious drop in
voltage, resulting in loss of power and possible tool damage.
Refer to the table below shown to determine the required
minimum wire size.
The smaller the gauge number of the wire, the greater the
capacity of the cord. For example, a 14 gauge cord can carry
a higher current than a 16 gauge cord. When using more than
one extension cord to make up the total length, be sure each
cord contains at least the minimum wire size required. If you
are using one extension cord for more than one tool, add the
nameplate amperes and use the sum to determine the required
minimum wire size.
Guidelines for using extension cords
• Be sure your extension cord is properly wired and in
good electrical condition. Always replace a damaged
extension cord or have it repaired by a qualified person
before using it.
• Protect your extension cords from sharp objects,
excessive heat and damp or wet areas.

MAINTENANCE
The ventilation slots of the machine must be kept clear at all
times.
Important note! If the carbon brushes are worn, in addition to
exchanging the brushes the tool should be sent to after-sales
service. This will ensure long service life and top performance.
Use only Milwaukee accessories and spare parts. Should
components need to be replaced which have not been
described, please contact one of our Milwaukee service agents
(see our list of guarantee/service addresses).
If needed, an exploded view of the tool can be ordered.
Please state the Article No. as well as the machine type
printed on the label and order the drawing at your local
service agents.
SYMBOLS
Please read the instructions carefully before
starting the machine.
Always disconnect the plug from the socket
before carrying out any work on the machine.
Accessory - Not included in standard equipment,
available as an accessory.
Do not dispose of electric tools together with
household waste material! In observance of
European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste
electrical and electronic equipment and its
implementation in accordance with national law,
electric tools that have reached the end of their
life must be collected separately and returned to
an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
Class II construction, tool in which protection
against electric shock does not rely on basic
insulation only, but in which additional safety
precautions, such as double insulation or
reinforced insulation, are provided.
