1. About mSafe100
mSafe 100 is one of the smallest and most powerful micro-tracking device with
multi-purpose tracking and security features. Using a super sensitivity GPS
module and tri-band GSM/GPRS modules, the mSafe 100 can perform personnel,
vehicular and cargo tracking all over the world. It has a rugged design and is
waterproof and shockproof. Furthermore, with very low power consumption and
high battery life, the mSafe 100 can stay on duty for up to 3 days.
Device features
•An “SOS” Button that immediately sends an alert to contacts preset by the
user in case of an emergency
• An LED indicator to show GSM and GPS signal strength, as well as
a low battery indicator and Test Button for GSM and GPS coverage
• Rechargeable battery with capacity of up to 3 days, with a short charging
time of only 4 hours to restore full battery capacity
• Tri-band modem for worldwide coverage, with a highly sensitive GPS module
• mSafe100 has a rugged design and is waterproof and shockproof
• 5 different alarm functions: SOS, Geofence, Park/Motion, Speed and Battery.
• Secure online account access for unit personalization and tracking.
• User defined Geofence (also referred to as Safety Zone) to set defined
perimeters for alert notification
* Your mSafe device operates using the GSM network and must be within an area with cellular
coverage to function properly.

In anti-theft mode, the unit will automatically report to center if

show the GPS and GSM reception

Priorities regarding status LED
1. The control center has higher priority over mSafe100.
2. The sequences of priority lights are Red, Green, Blue, None.
3. If no reaction by pressing eight G or P key, then the control center initiated the priority
mode of mSafe.
4. If G or P key is set by the unit and either function is set again by control center, the light
will stay on, and mSafe cannot disengage either function.
5. Example:
The color of LED light stays on is blue, the GeoFence mode is set,meanwhile if Anti-theft
key is pressed,the blue will turns into green light and stays on. However, the GeoFence
mode remains in effect. Meanwhile if SOS key is pressed,the blue will turns into red light
and stays on, and after the message is sent, the light will turn to green and stays on,
again vibration triggered, the light will turns blue and stays on.

5. Battery advice
Battery life depends on the network, signal strength, temperature, features,
and accessories in use. For maximum performance, please note the following
guidelines:
• New batteries or batteries stored for a long time may take more time to charge
• When charging and storing your battery, keep it near room temperature
• Never expose batteries to temperature below –10°C (14°F) or above 45°C.
• It is normal for batteries to gradually require longer charging times. If you
notice a significant change in your battery life, it is probably time to purchase
a new battery.
WARNING: Dispose of properly and according to any applicable state or local laws.
Never dispose of batteries in a fire because they may explode.

6. Getting started
Charging the Battery
1. Insert the Home Charger into the charger jack on your mSafe unit (see
“Description of Unit” for location of jack).
2. Plug the other end of the home charger into an electrical outlet.
3. Signal Light is orange while charging.
Turn the mSafe100 On and Off
1. Locate the On/Off switch on the mSafe unit.
2. Push the On/Off switch to the “On” position.
NOTE: For the initial charging of the battery, it is recommended that the unit
remain in the “Off ” position.

select the unit you would like to request a position for and then you get the
position in real time.

Button instructions
SOS button, it will send out emergency SMS reports when pressed and then finish the
emergency process.
G(Geofence) button, press to set up the Geofence and press again to release the
Geofence.
P (Parking/Motion) button, press to arm the device for vibration sensor triggering and
press again to disarm the device.
T (Test) button, press to test the GSM and GPS signals
Status 1: No light, no setting of any kind.
Status 2: Green light, setting of Park/Motion mode.
Status 3: Blue light, setting of Geo-fence.
Note: Priority sequence : SOS _ Parking _ Geofence

Alarm functions
SOS Button
The SOS Button should ONLY be used for an emergency. By pressing and
holding down the SOS Button for 4 seconds, a message is sent including the
location to the contact you chose to be notified. Within 120 seconds after the
SOS button has been activated, the terminal will vibrate 3 times when the
emergency control center, if used, calls to listen in.
Geofence
Geographically fenced zones (Geofence Zones) can be created to show
permissible or restricted areas for your vehicle(s) to operate in. These zones
ensure vehicles do not stray from their designated routes. If a restricted zone is
entered, an alarm will be sent.
Park/Motion
If the unit is set in parking/motion the device will send an emergeny alarm
notification if mSafe is moved from its setting point.
Speed limit
An alarm will be sent if the vehicle goes faster than the set speed limit in the device.
Battery
If voltage is under 3.7V, the unit will not enter the normal turn-on procedure,
instead it will advise the user with the red light. Another situation is that the
battery voltage is under 3.5V to cause low power during normal operation, the
unit will notify the center. It will then show the red light on the device for the
low battery and shut the GSM and GPS off until the battery voltage is reaching
3.7V and the unit will be restarted again.

How to activate/deactivate Geofence
Press the “G” button and the blue LED stays on, it means the Geofence is set up.
Press the “G” button again and the blue LED goes out, it means the Geofence is
released.
How to activate/deactivate Park/Motion
Press the “P” button and the green LED stays on, it means the device is armed
with the Park/Motion setup. Press the “P” button again and the green LED goes
out, it means the device is disarmed.
How to activate/deactivate SOS
Press the “S” button and the red LED stays on. The red light dims out after sen-
ding emergency reporting to the server. According to the LED priority, the next
LED light will show the Parking or Geofence, or no setting status.

8. Receiving/Testing Signals
Receiving GPS & GSM (cellular) Signals
Every time you turn your unit on, it immediately starts searching for a GPS
signal, then a GSM signal. The following light sequence indicates which
signals have been received:
1. Signal light stays solid blue for approximately 2 minutes while searching
for a GPS signal.
2. Signal light blinks blue to indicate a valid GPS signal has been received.
3. Signal light blinks green 4 times to indicate a valid GSM (cellular) signal.
4. Signal light blinks blue/green alternately to indicate normal standby mode,
ready to use.
Testing GPS & GSM (cellular) Signals
To test for GPS and/or GSM (cellular) signals while in normal standby mode,
press the “Test” Button. The unit tests first for a GSM (cellular) signal then a
GPS signal. Sequence of lights is as follows:
Green light stays on for 4 seconds if GSM (cellular) signal is OK (no green
light if no GSM signal).
Blue light stays on for 4 seconds if GPS signal is OK (if no GPS signal. then
signal light blinks blue for 20 seconds).
NOTE: The functions are limited to areas where GPS/cellular service are available.

9. Quick reference guide
Press and hold the SOS Button for a minimum of 4 seconds. The Signal
light will be green while the unit reports the emergency to mobyfinder.com
and to the speed dial numbers that you set.
FUNCTIONS OPERATIONS
Sending an SOS
Mobile phone numbers that have been preset and stored in Speed Dial Buttons
1-3 can call and request location information from the unit. mSafe recognizes
these numbers and automatically hangs up after one signal. The location of the
mSafe will then be sent to the phone that requested the location.

Low battery
It is recommended to keep your mSafe in the “On” position while charging.
Orange light will stay on and a full charge is achieved in approximately 4 hours.

Using DC 12V charger (for car) and AC 110V–240V charger (for home)
to charge the unit.

11. Troubleshooting
SOLUTIONS
Make sure the unit is charged
Make sure unit is in an unobstructed area. If necessary, go
outside under clear sky, to allow mSafe100 to restore its GPS
position.
Make sure cellular service is available where you are located. If
you use prepaid simcard, make sure there is credit available.
Make sure you have properly set and stored valid and working
phone numbers.
Press “Volume/Test” Button to adjust solund level during the
phone call. Volume adjustment sequence: Medium, High, Low

12. Helpful hints
• For optimum performance, you should keep your mSafe100 in the “On”
position at all times, even while charging the battery.
• Signal light will always be red when the unit is in the On position while
charging, even when the battery is fully charged.
• Signal light sequence when unit is turned On:
