SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING -- To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, serious
personal injury or product damage:
Do not use this product near water; e.g. near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry
tub, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, or the like.
Situate this product away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or
other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
Operate the product only with the supplied power adapter. Route power cords so they are
not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying
particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles and the point where they
exit from the product.
Clean the product only as recommended by the manufacturer (see the "Precautions and
Maintenance" section for details). Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet before
cleaning.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when left unused for an extended period.
Take care that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the product case through
product openings.
Do not put the device at the high-temperature (especially in the car in summer),
high-humidity or dusty place.
Do not fall or crash the device, do not shock the TFT screen, it may damage the TFT
screen.
Adjust to a suitable volume. If you feel tinnitus, please turn down or stop using.
Do not remove the connector while formatting, downloading, uploading. Otherwise it will
make the device get error.
For those losses of removing memory caused by device damage, incorrect repair or some
other reasons, our company will not take the responsibility. Please follow this manual to
operate this device.
Do not use this device where electronics is forbidden, such as on the plane.
Do not operate this product under the following conditions:
-When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged.
-If liquid has been spilled into or objects have fallen into the product.
-If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
-If the product does not operate when used according to the operating instructions.
-If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way.
Do not subject the product to violent shocks, extreme temperatures or lengthy periods of
direct sunlight.
Keep the product away from magnetic objects, motors and transformers.
Do not use outdoors in inclement weather.
Do not use this player while driving; this is dangerous and is illegal in some areas.
Do not attempt to service the product; take it to the electronics repair shop of your choice
for any servicing or repair.

For users of models with Wireless LAN functionality
●If radio interference with other devices occurs while using your device, do not use the
Wireless LAN functionality. Use of the Wireless LAN functionality may cause a malfunction of
the other devices, resulting in an accident.
●Do not use the Wireless LAN functionality in any medical institutions, including hospitals, or
while you are close to any electric medical equipment. Radio waves may cause o malfunction
of such equipment, resulting in a serious accident.
●Do not use the Wireless LAN functionality in an aircraft. Radio waves may cause a
malfunction of the aircraft’s equipment, resulting in a serious accident.
●Do not use the Wireless LAN functionality in a crowded place, such as in crowded train car.
Radio waves may cause a malfunction of pacemakers implanted in other people’s bodies.
●If you urgently need to disable the Wireless LAN functionality, turn off the WIRELESS
function.

MAIN UNIT
1. Touch screen:
7 Inch Resistive Touch Screen: Clicking and dragging on the screen are available.
2. MENU ( ) button:
In the status of standby or application is working, press this button, related windows
will show up.
3. BACK ( ) button:
Press this button to back to the previous menu page.
4. Sleep/Wake button
4.1 Turn on/off the device by long pressing this button.
-Power on: When the power indicator is on, press and hold this button, the device will
turn on .
-Power off: Press and hold this button for few seconds. The system would indicate:
Device option: Power off, Suspend and Cancel. Click <Power off> to shut it down.
4.2 Turn on/off the screen of device to save power.
-Power saving/standby: In the state of power on, press this button to get to shut the
screen to save power of device.
[NOTE]: 1. When the battery is low, device will power off automatically.
2. Shutdown illegally, when you restart, device would scan and repair the disk.
The screen will stay at the progress bar for a long time.
5. Charging indicator:
The indicator is red during charging; it will extinguish when charging is completed.
6. MIC jack:
Microphone sound input.
7. Micro SD card slot:
To insert the Micro SD memory card.
8. Mini USB jack:
Connect to PC or external U-disk for transferring data or connect to 3G modules. (Note:

Meanwhile you have to turn off host mode in the setting menu.)
9. Power Switch ON/OFF:
Switch this knob to turn on/off the device.
10. Earphone jack:
3.5 mm standard earphone jack.
11. DC jack:
Connect the power cable to charge the device.

THE FIRST TIME TO USE DEVICE
1. Battery management and charging
Before use this device, please charge it fully.
1.1 Put the charger/adapter into the DC jack, the device will start to charge.
1.2 Charge for 10 hours for the first two charging, later charge should last 2.5 hours
every time. A full charged battery pack can be used about 2 hours.
- When it is charging, the icon of battery will be rolling.
- When charging has finished, the icon of battery will turn green and stop rolling.
- For prolonging the device’s usage life span, please use up the remain electrical
quantity in first two times using.
- Once you will not use this device for a long time, please power it off.
[NOTE]:
1. This device has a built-in polymer battery, when it is charging, supplied charger is
only available.
2. If you do not use this device for a long time, please charge and release once in a
month.
3. If the device is very low power, it may display <low power> to indicate that the
device needs to charge for several minutes before you can use it.
4. The built-in polymer battery should be charged regularly. Such damage caused by
battery over-consuming is not included in the quality warranty.
2. Turn on/off the device:
Press and hold button will turn on/off this device. Please reference by: the
description of MAIN UNIT in page 5.
3. Connect with PC:
You can connect with PC by USB cable attached with the device.
- In the USB mode, add or delete any files in the device are available.
[NOTE]: 1. When the battery is low, device will power off automatically.
2. Shutdown illegally, when you restart, device would scan and repair the disk.
The screen will stay at the progress bar for a long time.

BASIC OPERATION
1. Description of the Homepage:
When it is power on, the default setting is “screen lock”.
Touch and hold icon up to GREEN dot on the screen of device to unlock the screen.
In the Homepage, you can:
a. The management of icon on the Homepage.
- Add short-cuts: Drag the software icon to the Homepage.
- Delete short-cuts: press and hold the software icon, will become , then
drag the icon into the recycle bin. When the icon turns red, deletion is done.
b. Go to another Homepage:
This device contains four screens, flick left or right, or click to the left-down corner or
right-down corner of the row of dots.
c. Long press on the touch screen:
Add to the Homepage’s window, as showed in the below picture:

- Shortcuts:
Applications: Add application shortcut you select to the desktop.
Bookmark: Add the bookmark you select to the desktop.
Directions & Navigation: Add directions and navigation to the desktop.
Gmail label: Add an account you select for Gmail label shortcut to the desktop.
Latitude: Add latitude shortcut to the desktop.
Music play list: Add music play list to the desktop.
Settings: Add settings item you select as shortcut to the desktop.
- Widgets:
Add corresponding application programs to desktop.
- Folders:
New folders: Establish a new folder on the screen.
Documents To Go - Recently Used: To display the recently used documents on the
screen.
- Wallpapers:
To set the wallpaper of this device.
2. Description of menu interface:
Press to get into MAIN MENU interface, and you can choose any applications of this
device to operate.
3. Description of status bar:
- The left part display some information like screen soft key , Micro SD card and USB
connecting, etc.
- The right part shows muting mode, Wi-Fi signal, mobile network connecting status,
battery, battery charging status, time, VOL-, VOL+, BACK soft key and MENU soft key,
etc.
4. Use the touch screen:
- No matter which interface you are in, you can touch on the left-up corner to back
to the menu interface.
- In different applications, touch the button of BACK to back to the previous level
page.
- In different applications, touch the button of MENU to enter setup operation
interface.
- In different browser (files, music, video or picture browser), you can drag the rolling
bar up and down to check file list upward and downward. Touch the top or low place
where the cursor is, you can roll it quickly. (Dragging your finger to scroll doesn’t
choose or activate anything on the screen.)
- In internet browser or PDF reader, touch and hold the screen, you can drag the rolling
bar upward or downward. (Do not touch or click the interlink page.)

[NOTE]:
1. The key on the screen is equal to on the device.
2. The menu key on the screen is equal to on the device.
- In the menu interface, touching the icon softly on the screen to launch the
application.
5. Viewing in portrait or landscape
You can view device’s built-in applications in any orientation—portrait or landscape.
Rotate device and the screen rotates too, adjusting automatically to fit the new
orientation.
You may prefer landscape orientation for viewing webpages or when entering text.
webpages automatically scale to the wider screen, making the text and images larger.
The onscreen keyboard also becomes larger, which may help increase your typing speed
and accuracy.
6. Connecting to the internet
6.1 Joining a Wi-Fi network:
Wi-Fi settings let you turn on Wi-Fi and join Wi-Fi networks.
Turn on Wi-Fi: Choose Setting > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on.
Join on Wi-Fi: Choose Setting > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings
Wait a moment as device detects network in range, then select a network (fees may
apply to join some Wi-Fi networks.) If necessary, enter a password and tap join
(network that require a password appear with a lock icon)
When device has a Wi-Fi connection, the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar at the top of the
screen shows the connection strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the
connection.
6.2 Joining a mobile network:
Before you can join a mobile network on device, you need to sign up for a mobile
network plan. When device connects to the internet using the mobile network, you see
the related icon in the status bar at the top of the screen.
Turn on mobile network: Choose Setting > Wireless & networks > Mobile network and
turn mobile network on.
Join on mobile network: Choose Setting > Wireless & networks > Mobile network
settings.
Wait a moment as device detects network in range, then select a network (fees may
apply to join some mobile networks.). Click the mobile network’s name to join the
network.
6.3 Joining the Ethernet:
Choose Setting > Ethernet Setting, then follow the onscreen instructions to operate.
(Note: Make sure you connect the available reticle to the device’s USB port using the
connecting line)

7. Security features
Security features help protect the information on device from being accessed by others.
You can set up a pattern that you must enter each time you turn on or wake up device.
Set a pattern: Choose Settings > Security & Location > Set unlock pattern.
For more information, see “Security & Location” on page 11.
BASIC SETUP
Touch the SETTINGS icon on the main menu to get into the settings interface.
1. Wireless & networks
1.1 Wi-Fi: Turn on/off Wi-Fi function
When getting on the Wi-Fi interface, the icon on the right shows which means Wi-Fi
is off. Click “Wi-Fi”, it will indicate “Turning on...”, the icon on the right shows
which means Wi-Fi is on.
[NOTE]: All the settings of the device, except special explain:
-the icon on the right shows which means the option is Off.
-the icon on the right shows which means the option is On.
1.2 Wi-Fi settings: Set and manage the wireless access point.
- The network icon shows like which means auto-scan is off.
- Click once the icon of the network, it would show like which means it is on. The
device will automatically search any accessible nearby wireless networks. Click the
network' s name, you can access to it. Once connected, such words like “Connected
to ......”, will be displayed on the bottom of the network's name.
- For a once connected router, the device would save it. If you want to connect it again,
just activate Wi-Fi network, or click the network directly to access. Moreover, when the
Wi-Fi is on, the device would search the router automatically once connected.
1.3 Mobile network: Turn on/off mobile network function
If the Wi-Fi function is on and you want to turn on this function, the screen will appear

attention menu to indicate you turn off Wi-Fi function first, then you can turn on the
mobile network when shows icon.
1.4 Mobile network settings: Set options for roaming, networks, APNs.
1.4.1 Access Point Names: Choose Settings > Mobile network settings > Access Point
Names, click Access Point Names,then follow the onscreen instructions. (The settings
vary depending on the carrier.)
1.4.2 Data Roaming: If you’re outside your carrier’s network, you may be able to use a
mobile network from another carrier. In settings, choose Mobile network settings and
turn Data Roaming on.
Important: Roaming charges may apply. To avoid data roaming charges, make sure Data
Roaming is turned off.
1.4.3 Network Mode: To change the network operating mode.
1.4.4 Network Operators: To select a network operator.
1.4.5 Keep mobile networks alive: To keep mobile networks alive when system going
to sleep.
1.4.6 Mobile networks status:To display the network, signal strength, roaming status
and etc.
1.5 Ethernet settings: Set up and manage wired Ethernet connection.
2. Sound & Display:
2.1 Media volume: Adjust the media volume level. Adjust it by dragging the volume
bar.
2.2 Notification ringtone: Set the default notification ring.
2.3 Audible selection: Play sound or not when making screen selection.
2.4 SD card notifications: Play sound or not for SD card notifications.
2.5 Orientation: Change the orientations automatically when rotating the device.
2.6 Animation: Play the animation while open or close the window.
2.7 Brightness: Adjust the brightness of the screen. Adjust it by dragging adjusting bar.
2.8 Screen timeout: Adjusting delay before the screen shut down automatically. Six
options are available: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 10 minutes and 30
minutes.
[NOTE]: Notification ringtone and SD card notification are only available on the
mobile phone, which is not supported on this device.
3. Security & Location:
3.1 Use wireless networks: Check the position in the application by wireless network
( Wi-Fi or mobile networks).
3.2 Set unlock pattern: To set unlock pattern.
If you set one unlock pattern successfully, the options Require pattern, Use visible
pattern and Use tactile feedback can be operated. You can set these options as
desired.
3.3 Visible password: Passwords would be displayed while type in.

4. Applications
4.1 Unknown sources:
If you set this function on, it will allow you to install of non-Market applications to the
device.
4.2 Manage applications:
Manage and remove installed third-party applications as desired.
4.3 Running services:
View and control currently running services.
4.4 Development:
Set options for application development. In this device, you can set: USB debugging,
Stay awake and Allow mock locations functions on or off as desired.
5. Privacy
5.1 Use My Location:
If this function is on, the device will use your location for Google search results and
other Google services.
5.2 Back up my settings:
- If this function is on: The device will back up your settings and save all copies on
Google servers.
- If this function is off: The device will stop backing up your settings and erase all
copies on Google servers.
5.3 Factory data reset:
To erase all data on device and reset to factory initial settings.
6. SD card & device storage
Discharge the SD card, Check spare memory spaces of SD card, internal flash storage or
internal device storage.
[NOTE]: Remove the SD card by “Unmount SD card” option to avoid damages caused by
Hot-plugging.
7. Language & keyboard:
Set languages and regions, Text input and automatic error-correcting option.
7.1 Select locale: You can select available languages and region as desired.
7.2 Android Keyboard: Android keyboard settings.
- Vibrate on keypress: Vibrate when pressing.
- Sound on keypress: Sound when pressing.
- Auto capitalization: On/off CAPS LOCK function.
- Quick fixes: Correct wrong words you typing.
- Show Suggestions: Show the suggestion words when typing.
- Auto-complete: Auto-complete the space and punctuation and auto-insert
emphasized words.
7.3 User dictionary: Add or delete words in the user dictionary.

8. Date & Time:
Set the Date, Time, Time Zone and Time Format.
8.1 Automatic: Use network-provided time.
Note: If the AUTOMATIC function is on, the following option will not user adjustable.
8.2 Set date: To the date setting interface.
8.3 Select time zone: To set the time zone.
8.4 Set time: To the time setting interface.
8.5 Use 24-hour format: Set the time display format.
8.6 Select date format: Set the date display format.
9. Touch panel calibration:
Adjust the touch screen.
After stepping to the adjust option, touch the cross-shapped mark on the left-up corner,
right-up corner, left-down corner, right-down corner and centre of the screen to adjust.
10. USB Mode select:
Choose the USB Mode to HOST MODE.
Host mode: choose the USB at host mode, you can insert U- disk or 3G module.
11. Update Media Library:
Click this item to update the media library when you insert storage card to the device.
12. Online Help:
Click this item to enter http:www.apkok.com/help/miden.html page, then you can via
the HELP CENTRE page to know what you want to know.
13. About device:
To display the device status, battery use, legal information, model number, firmware
version and kernel version.

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION & MANAGEMENT
APK INSTALLER (APPLICATION INSTALLER):
The device supports those applications developed on the Android platform. Most
applications can be acquired on the internet which can be copied into the SD card or
T-flash card.
Click Apk installer option will show up: Install, Manager, Exit.
1 Install:
Click it, step into the installation option.
Choose the Apk format installation program, click it to install. When you finish all the
operation and back to the menu, related icon would be displayed.

2 Manager:
Click it, and step into the third-part application program interface.
NOTE: Enter http://www.apkcn.com to visit Apk installer official website. You can scan
the latest Android news, Android mobile phone, Android videos, Android games and
Android applications, etc.
Click icon to enter the action interface.
-Launch: To launch the application.
-Export to SD: Export to SD card.
-Uninstall: To uninstall the application.
-Cancel: To cancel and return to previous menu page.
3 Exit:
Back to the Menu.

MAINTENANCE
Turn off the device and disconnect the AC adaptor before maintaining the device.
Wipe the device with a dry, soft cloth.
If the surfaces are extremely dirty, wipe clean with a cloth which has been dipped in
a weak soap-and-water solution and wrung out thoroughly, and then wipe again with
a dry cloth.
Never use alcohol, benzine, thinner, cleaning fluid or other chemicals. And do not
use compressed air to remove dust.
If the device does get wet, turn off the device immediately. Wait for the device to
dry completely before turning on the device again.
When carrying your device in bag, keep the device in the protecting case supplied to
avoid scratches.
PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS
The device can not power on:
- Check the battery’s power.
- Connect adapter and check again.
- If it still can not power on after charging, please contact retailer.
Screen blinks after power on:
- Battery low, please charge.
No output of the earphone:
- Check if mute is on.
- Check if the audio files are damaged. Testing by playing other audio files. A
damaged file may cause serious noise and jumping sound.
The device can not copy:
- Check if it is connecting correctly between device and PC.
- Check if the spare space of the memory is enough.
- Check if the USB cable is damaged.
