Introduction:
e Take-2 is a state-of-the-art message-on-hold adapter capable of allowing the user to place up to
two callers on-hold. An external audio source can be connected to the adapter to keep callers enter-
tained and informed of your products or services. is system is specically designed for the SOHO
(Small Oce Home Oce) environment where up to two lines on a single phone are supported.
Unpacking and Inspection:
Before you begin installation, unpack and verify you have all the correct parts.
(1) Take-2 with attached power supply
(1) RCA to RCA cable
(1)1/8˝Adapter
(3) RJ-11 Cord
(1) 2-line splitter/adapter *
(1) Female-to-female in-line adapter*
(1) Instruction manual
* Used for 2-line installs where incoming lines are on separate wall jacks
If you are missing any of these parts STOP and call your dealer.
Installation Note:
If this is a two-line installation and both lines ARE NOT coming into the phone on the same wire, then the
included adapter must be used to put Line 1 on the center two pins and Line 2 on the two outside pins of the
Take-2 input connector.
Take-2 Layout Summary:
Front of Unit
LED INDICATORS - The STATUS LED indicators will be SOLID BLUE when line is on-hold.
LINE 1 & LINE 2 BUTTONS - When pressed the corresponding line is placed on-hold.
Rear of Unit
TELCO - Connects to incoming telco line.
PHONE - Connects to phone.
AUDIO IN - Connects toanaudiosource.Donotconnecttoanamplierordamagetotheadapterwilloccur.

Installation (For 1-line and 2-line installations where both lines are on same wire):
1. Unplug the line connection from the rear of the telephone and connect this to the TELCO plug on the adapter.
2. Connect included RJ-11 cord from phone line connection to the PHONE plug of the adapter.
3. Connect included RCA cord from the adapters AUDIO INtoanaudiosource.Donotconnecttoanamplier
or damage to the adapter will occur.
4. Connect the attached POWER SUPPLY to a powered wall outlet.

Installation (For 2-line installations where both lines are on separate wires):
1. Unplug the line 1 & line 2 connections from the rear of the telephone and connect in the following order.
a. Connect to splitter/adapter - Line 1 to L1 and Line 2 to L2 on splitter.
b. Connect to female to female in-line adapter.
c. Connect to RJ-11 cord.
d. Connect to the TELCO plug on the adapter.
2. Connect included RJ-11 cord from phone line connection to the PHONE plug of the adapter.
3. Connect included RCA cord from the adapters AUDIO INtoanaudiosource.Donotconnecttoanamplier
or damage to the adapter will occur.
4. Connect the attached POWER SUPPLY to a powered wall outlet.

Limited Warranty
TERMS: Nel-Tech Labs warrants to the original purchaser (“Buyer”) that the Product sold is free from defects in material and
workmanshipatthetimeofpurchase.ThewarrantyperiodbeginsatthetimeofProduct’soriginalpurchasebytherstend-user.The
warrantyappliesforve(5)yearfromtheoriginaldateofpurchase,oraslongastheproductisownedbytheoriginalpurchaser,
whichevercomesrst.Includedinthewarrantyarepartsandlabor.BuyermustprovidewrittennoticetoNel-TechLabsofany
defective part or conditions within the warranty period. If the defect is not the result of improper use, service, maintenance or
installation, and if the equipment has not been otherwise damaged or modied after shipment, Nel-Tech Labs or its authorized
representative shall either replace or repair the defective Product at Nel-Tech Labs’s option. No credit shall be allowed for work
performedbyBuyerorunauthorizedparties.Out-of-warrantyrepairsareinvoicedatthecurrentNel-TechLabshourlyrateplusthe
cost of parts, shipping and handling. In the event that the product serial number is missing or has been tampered with in any way,
the foregoing warranty is void and without effect and Nel-Tech Labs shall have no liability whatsoever on account of defects to such
product.
LIMITATIONS: Exceptasstatedabove,therearenowarranties,expressorimplied,thatextendbeyondthespecicationsforthe
product. Nel-Tech Labs expressly disclaims any warranty, express or implied, that equipment sold hereunder is of merchantable
qualityorthatitcanbeused,oristforanyparticularpurpose.Buyerpurchasesandacceptsequipmentsolelyonthebasisofthe
warranty here in above expressed. Under no circumstances shall Nel-Tech Labs be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise
for any special indirect, secondary or consequential damages to any person or property arising out of the use or inability to use the
product.
REPAIRING OR REPLACING PRODUCT: Buyer may obtain the repair or replacement of any eligible part or equipment covered
under this warranty through a Nel-Tech Labs dealer only. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges in connection
with the performance of this warranty. Products returned to Nel-Tech Labs must be securely packaged to prevent damage in transit,
freightprepaid,andinsuredforreplacementvalue.AreturnauthorizationnumberassignedbyNel-TechLabsmustbeclearlymarked
on the outside of the shipping container. Proof of purchase must accompany shipment. Items delivered to Nel-Tech Labs without a
returnauthorizationclearlymarkedontheoutsideoftheshippingcontainer,and/orwithoutproofofpurchaseisrefused.
