beforestartingtheinstallation.




ThismanualcoverstheinstallationoftheNoritzCommercialMulti‐RackSystem(#MR‐2)forcommercial
tanklesswaterheatermodels.ThemodeltypecanbeverifiedfromtheRatingPlatelocatedonthewater
heaterinordertocheckforcompatibility(seebelow).Pleasereadthefollowinginstructionscompletely
beforestartingtheinstallation.


InstallationProcedure Donotattempttoovertightenanyofthe
boltsasthismaydamagethethreadsand
preventtheboltfromturning

1) DeterminethebestareatoinstalltheCommercialMulti‐RackSystemwhereallthesafetyand
clearancerequirementstothewaterheaterandventingaremet.

2) Removeallitemsfromthepackagingandensurethatallpartsandaccessoriesareincludedinthekit.

3) SettheRackBaseatthedesiredinstallationlocationandlayitflatontheground.

4) TaketheRackTopAssemblyandholditnearthecenterofthebaseasshowninFigure1.Usethe
includedM12boltsettoattachtheRackToptothebase.Afterthatiscompleted,takebothleftand
rightReinforcementPlatesanduseM12boltstoattachthemtotheholesprovidedontheRackTop
andBaseforaddedstability.

 


5) UsetheAdjustableMountingPlatefromtheRackTopAssemblyandattachittotheracksystemin
eitherPosition2or3usingtheprovidedholesontheRackTopasshowninFigure2below.Position
1willnotbeused.Refertothechartbelowforcorrespondingpositionstothelistedcompatible
models.




6) CAUTION!Confirmthattheracksystemremainsflatandsecuretothegroundbeforeanyunitsare
mounted.Topreventtherackfromfallingoverandpossiblycausinginjury,usefield‐supplied
anchorboltstosecuretheRackBasetothefloor.

7) Oncetherackhasbeenproperlyinstalledandsecured,carefullyholdtheNoritzwaterheaterin
placeandusethefivetappingscrewstomounttheunittotherack(Figure3).Anumberof
mountingholesareprovidedtofitthetopandbottommountingbracketsonthewaterheater.

FORNC199SERIESMODELS:Someadditionalmountingholeswillbeneededtosecurelymountthe
NC199seriesmodelstotherack.PlacetheunitagainsttheRackTopandlineupallthemounting
pointstotheAdjustableMountingBracket.Usealeveltomakesurethatthewaterheateris
mounteduprightanduseapencilormarkertomarktheareaswherethenewholeswillbeneeded.
Usetheprovidedtappingscrewstoattachtheunittotherackandcompletetheinstallation.

8) Attachthewaterandgasconnectionstothewaterheater(s)accordingtotheInstallationManual
providedwiththeunits.Wheninstallingmultiplewaterheatersontherack,makesuretofollowall
clearancerequirementsfromtheunitasstatedontheRatingPlate.
