To Access the Optus My Tab user manual:
1. Tap Apps > then Files > then Documents
2. Select My Tab Help.pdf
3. The ‘Docs to Go’ application will automatically open, follow the on
screen instructions to access the My Tab User Manual.

Insert the SIM card.
1If you’re using the Optus My Tab for the first time, you’ll need to charge the battery.
Connect the supplied charger to your tablet and then plug into a standard AC wall outlet.
Disconnect the charger when the battery is fully charged, this will be indicated by the battery
indicator symbol appearing on the status bar of your My Tab. This may take up to 3 hours.

Insert the SIM card.
1If you’re using the Optus My Tab for the first time, you’ll need to charge the battery.

3Turn on your tablet by pressing the power button.
4To activate your SIM, open the internet browser by tapping this icon
Type optus.com.au/activate into the address field then tap Enter

Complete the online SIM activation form:
A. Enter your SIM card number (located at the
back of your SIM booklet).
B. Follow the prompts to submit your SIM
activation order.

3Turn on your tablet by pressing the power button.
4To activate your SIM, open the internet browser by tapping this icon
Type optus.com.au/activate into the address field then tap Enter

Complete the online SIM activation form:
A. Enter your SIM card number (located at the
back of your SIM booklet).
B. Follow the prompts to submit your SIM
activation order.

Wait 1 hour for your order to be processed…
After 1 hour, turn on your My Tab.
After submitting the order,
A. Close your internet browser, then
B. Switch off your tablet by pressing the power button.

7You will receive a “Welcome to Optus” SMS to your SMS Inbox containing your Service Number.
NOTE: KEEP YOUR SERVICE NUMBER HANDY AS YOU WILL
NEED IT TO RECHARGE YOUR SERVICE IN THE FUTURE.
Your service is now activated.

Wait 1 hour for your order to be processed…
After 1 hour, turn on your My Tab.
After submitting the order,
A. Close your internet browser, then
B. Switch off your tablet by pressing the power button.

7You will receive a “Welcome to Optus” SMS to your SMS Inbox containing your Service Number.
NOTE: KEEP YOUR SERVICE NUMBER HANDY AS YOU WILL
NEED IT TO RECHARGE YOUR SERVICE IN THE FUTURE.
Your service is now activated.

To check your balance:
1. Tap on the Home key, then tap New Message
2. Tap To and enter 9999
3. Tap Type, enter the message balance and tap Send
You will receive an SMS to your SMS inbox with details of the remaining balance on your service.
CHECK YOUR
BALANCE BY SMS
1. Tap the Home key, then Messaging.
2. When you receive a new message, simply tap on the message to read it.
3. The device will alert you to unread messages by displaying this icon in the status bar.

To check your balance:
1. Tap on the Home key, then tap New Message
2. Tap To and enter 9999
3. Tap Type, enter the message balance and tap Send
You will receive an SMS to your SMS inbox with details of the remaining balance on your service.

1. Tap the Home key, then Messaging.
2. When you receive a new message, simply tap on the message to read it.

2. Tap To and type in the mobile number you want to send an SMS to. You can also enter the first letters
of the recipients’ name to display a list of matching names stored in your Contacts list
3. Tap Type, enter your message and tap Send.
