In the following we would like to familiarize you with the appliance and provide some useful
information about epilation. Please read the use instructions carefully and thoroughly before
using the appliance.
Epilator has been designed to make the removal of unwanted hair as efficient, gentle and easy as
possible. Its proven epilation system removes hair at the root, leaving your skin smooth for
weeks. As the hair re-grows is fine and soft, there will be no more stubble.
The epilation head remove more hair in a single stroke for unprecedented efficiency. The tips
integrated in the epilation head make sure that even short hairs (0.5mm) and flat lying hairs are
removed thoroughly at the root.:
The active massaging rollers clip makes the epilation ultra gentle. Its pulsating movement
stimulates and relaxes the skin to offset the pulling sensation.
The SmartLight incorporated in the switch reproduces an almost daylight condition, thus
revealing even the finest hair and giving you abetter control for improved epilation efficiency.
If you have not used an epilator before, or if you have not epilated for a longer period of time, it
may take a short while for your skin to adapt to epilation. The discomfort experienced at first is
considerably reduced with repeated use as the number of hair to be removed decreases over time
and as the skin adjusts to the process.
The shaver head is specially designed for a fast and close shave of underarms and bikini line.
IMPORTANT
- This appliance must never be used near water (e.g. a filled wash basin, bathtub of shower).
- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
- When switched on, the appliance must never come in contact with the hair on your head,
eyelashes, ribbons, etc., to prevent any danger of injury as well as to prevent blockage or damage
to the appliance.
- Before use, check whether your voltage corresponds to the voltage of the transformer. Always
use the 12V transformer plug supplied with the product.
GENERAL INFORMATION ON EPILATION
ORION OE016PW Epilator is designed to epilate hair on legs, but use tests monitored by
dermatologists have confirmed that you can also safely epilate the underarm and the bikini line.
All methods of hair removal at the root can lead to in-growing hair and irritation (e.g. itching,
discomfort and reddening of the skin) depending on the condition of the skin and hair.
This is a normal reaction and should quickly disappear, but may be stronger when you are
removing hair at the root for the first few times or if you have sensitive skin.
If, after 36 hours, the skin still shows irritation, we recommend that you contact your physician.
In general, the skin reaction and the sensation of pain tend to diminish considerably with the
repeated use of epilator. In some cases inflammation of the skin could occur when bacteria
penetrate the skin (e.g. when sliding the appliance over the skin). Thorough cleaning of the
epilation head before each use will minimize the risk of infection.
If you have any doubts about using this appliance, please consult your physician. In the
following cases, this appliance should only be used after prior consultation with a physician:
- Eczema, wounds, inflamed skin reactions such as folliculitis (purulent hair follicles) and
varicose veins
- around moles
- reduced immunity of the skin, e.g. diabetes mellitus, during pregnancy, Raynaud's disease
- haemophilia or immune deficiency.
SOME USEFUL TIPS
Epilation is easier and more comfortable when the hair is at the optimum length of 2-5 mm. If
hairs are longer, we recommend that you either shave first and epilate the shorter re-growing
hairs after 1 or 2 weeks or use the shaver head with trimmer to pre-cut hairs to this ideal length.
When epilating for the first time, it is advisable to epilate in the evening, so that any possible
reddening can disappear over night. To relax the skin we recommend applying a moisture cream
after epilation.
Fine hair which re-grows might not grow up to the skin surface the regular use of massage
sponges (e.g. after showering) or exfoliation peelings helps to prevent in-growing hair as the
gentle scrubbing action removes the upper skin layer and fine can get through to the skin surface.
It is a fact that hair re-growth will be reduced by 50% if you remove hairs from the root regularly
at least every 4 weeks using your Epilator.

HOW TO EPILATE
- Your skin must be dry and free from grease or cream.
- Before starting, thoroughly clean the epilation head.
- Plug the cord connector into the socket and plug the transformer plug into an electrical outlet.
1. Make sure the massaging clip is attached to the epilation head. To turn on the appliance, slide
switch to the second setting. For reduced speed, choose the first setting. The SmartLight
illuminates as long as the appliance is switched on.
2. Rub your skin to lift short hairs. For optimum performance hold the appliance at a right angle
(90) against your skin. Guide it in a slow, continuous movement without pressure against the hair
growth, in the direction of the switch. As hair can grow in different directions, it may also be
helpful to guide the appliance in different directions to achieve optimum results. Both rollers of
the massaging rollers clip should always be kept in contact with the skin, allowing the pulsation
movements to stimulate and relax the skin for a gentler epilation.
Legs’ epilation
Epilate your legs from the lower leg in an upward direction, when epilating behind the knee,
keep the leg stretched out straight.
Underarm and bikini line epilation
Please be aware that especially at the beginning these areas are particularly sensitive to pain,
with repeated usage the pain sensation will diminish. For more comfort, ensure that the hair is at
the optimum length of 2-5mm.
Before epilating, thoroughly clean the respective area to remove residue (like deodorant). Then
carefully dab dry with a towel. When epilating the underarm, keep your arm raised up so that the
skin is stretched and guide the appliance in different directions.
As skin may be more sensitive directly after epilation avoid using irritating substances such as
deodorants with alcohol.
Сleaning the epilation head
After epilating, unplug the appliance and clean the epilation head. If you have used one of the
attachment 1a or 1b, first remove the clip and clean it with the brush.
To clean the tweezers element, use the cleaning brush dipped into alcohol. Clean the tweezers
with the brush from the rear side of the epilation head while turning the barrel manually. After
cleaning, place your preferred clip back on the epilation head.
HOW TO USE THE SHAVER HEAD
1. Put on the shaver head by clicking it in (the long hair trimmer should be in front).
2. When using the shaver head, always slide the switch up to the < second > setting.
3. For best results, guide the shaving system in away that about half of the shaving foil and the
long hair trimmer are in contact with your skin. Always guide the appliance in the direction
of the trimmer. The trimmer first raises all long hairs and cuts them off. Then the flexible foil
follows to smooth away any stubble.
Cleaning the shaver head
1. After shaving, unplug the appliance and, if necessary, remove the OptiTrim attachment.
2. Clean the OptiTrim attachment with the brush.
3. In order to clean the shaver head, remove the shaving foil frame. To do so, press the release
bars on the front and back and pull it off.
4. Carefully tap the shaving foil frame on a flat surface.
5. Brush out the cutter block as well as the area below the cutter block.
6. N.B: The shaving foil is a very delicate part that must not be cleaned with the brush.
7. We recommend that you put a drop of light machine oil along the length of the trimmer every
3 months.
8. Put the shaving foil frame back on and snap it into place.
9. Replace the OptiTrim attachment because it also serves as a protective cap.
Note: Do not use the shaver head with a damaged shaving foil.
Replacing the shaving parts
The shaving foil and the cutter block are precision parts that wear out with the time. Have the
shaving foil frame and the cutter block replaced when you notice a reduced shaving performance
even after cleaning the shaver head.
