o To maintain optimum performance, it is recom-
mended that the camera be inspected every one
or two years. If the camera has not been-
used
for.an extended pe1iod, or is being prepared for

mended that you have the camera inspected or
test shoot with it.
o The PENTAX -warranty is provided only for
the repair of defects in mateiials or workhan-
ship.Damage of any kind cannot be repaired at

o When the LC?_is exposedto high temperatures
over about 60 "C, it may blacken, but when the
temperature normalizes, it will return ro nor_
rnal.
o The LCD may also slow down in response to
lower temperaiures, but this is a nor-ui charac-
teristic of an LCD.
PRECAUTIONS FOR BATTERY .'
o IJse one 3V lithium battery, type CR-2 or the
equivalent.
o Misuse of a battery can cause hazards such as
leakage,overheating, explosions, etc. The bat-
tery should be inserted with the ..+,, and.3 ,,
sides facing correctly.
r Never try to disassemble,short or recharge the
battery.. Also do not dispose of the batter! in a
fire, asit may exploded.
o Batte-ry performance may be temporarily hin-
dered in low temperatures, but will recover in
normal temperatures.
o Keep a spare battery on hand for replacement
conveniencewhen shooting outdoors or while
traveling.
o When the camera is in a bag, make sure the
main switch is OFF. Otherwiie, battery power
may be wasted if the shutter releasebution is
accidentally pushed.
