Blu-ray 3D Disc playback
Full HD 3D provides the illusion of depth for a
heightened, realistic cinema viewing
experience at home. Separate images for the
left and right eyes are recorded in 1920 x 1080
full HD quality and alternately played on screen
at a high speed. By watching these images
through special glasses that are timed to open
and close the left and right lenses in
synchronization with the alternating images,
the full-HD 3D viewing experience is created.
Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA
DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD
delivers 7.1 channels of the finest sound from
your Blu-ray Discs. Audio reproduced is
virtually indistinguishable from the studio
master, so you hear what the creators
intended for you to hear. DTS-HD Master
Audio and Dolby TrueHD complete your high
definition entertainment experience.
7.1 channel surround sound
Enjoy the best sound experience with all your
different types of contents. When you are
watching your movie, you can get a full 7.1
surround sound to immerse you in the action.
When listening to music, where surround
sound is not needed, the system will intuitively
channel it to 2.1 stereo sound in which the
music will be presented in the best form. Of
course you can always choose from the various
sound preset modes available on your Blu-ray
and/or DVD player, ranging from pure stereo
or 7-channel stereo to Dolby TrueHD and
DTS Master Audio 7.1 surround sound for the
best HD sound experience.
Instant 2D to 3D conversion
Enjoy 3D movie excitement in your home
using your existing 2D movie collection.
Instant 3D conversion uses the latest digital
technology to analyze 2D video content to
distinguish between foreground and
background objects. This detail generates a
depth map that converts normal 2D video
formats, into exciting 3D. Along with your
compatible 3D TV, you are now ready to
experience full HD 3D.
CinemaPerfect HD
Philips' CinemaPerfect HD engine offers a new
standard in clear and sharp video playback.
This intelligent engine reduces noise and
sharpens images to bring you higher quality
video images than previously seen. Video noise
reduction and super scaling work to reduce
the noise that is produced when video is
compressed into MPEG format. With
improved color processing, the engine
produces sharp, deep images on screen.
