SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This product was designed and manufactured to meet strict quality
and safety standards.There are, however, some installationand
operation precautions which you should be particularly aware of.
1, Read Instructions -All the safetyand operating instructions
should be read before the appliance is operated.
2, Retain Instructions -The safety and operating instructions
shouldbe retained for future reference.
3. Heed Warnings - All warningson the applianceand in the
operatinginstructions should be adhered to,
4. Follow Instructions -All operatingand useinstructions should
be followed.
5. Water and Moisture -The applianceshouldnot be usednear
water - for example,near a bathtub,washbowl,kitchen sink,
laundrytub, in a wet basementor near aswimming pool, etc.
6. Carts and Stands - The applianceshould be usedontywith a
cart or standthat isrecommended by the manufacturer,

7. WallorCeilingHounting-Theapplianceshouldbemounted

8. Ventilation -The applianceshouldbe situated so that its location
or positiondoes not interfere with its proper ventilation.For
example,the applianceshould not be situatedon a bed, sofa,rug,
or similarsurface that may blockthe ventilationopenings;or,
placedin a built-in installation,suchasa bookcaseor cabinetthat
may impede the flow of air through the ventitationopenings,
9. Heat -The applianceshould be situatedawayfrom heat sources
suchas radiators, heat registers, stoves,or other appliances
(includingamplifiers)that produce it,
10, Power Sources -The applianceshouldbe connected to a power
supplyonly of the type describedin the operating instructionsor
asmarked on the appliance.
11. Power-Cord Protection _ Power supplycords shouldbe routed
so that they are not likelyto be walked on or pinchedby items
placed upon or againstthem, payingparticular attention to cords
and plugs,conveniencereceptacles, andthe point where they exit
from the appliance.

12, Cleaning -The applianceshould be cleanedonly as
recommended by the manufacturer.
13. Power Lines -An outdoor antenna should be located awayfrom
power lines,
14. Outdoor Antenna Grounding - If an outsideantenna is
connectedto the receiver, be sure the antenna system isgrounded
so asto provide some protection againstvoltage surgesand built
up static charges.
Section 810 of the National Electric Code,ANSI/NFPA No.70,
providesinformation with respectto proper groundingof the
mats and supporting structure, groundingof the lead-inwire to an
antenna discharge unit, size of grounding connectors, location of
antenna-discharge unit, connectionto groundingelectrodes and
requirements for the groundingelectrode. See Fig.below.
15, Non=use Periods -The power cord of the applianceshould be
unpluggedfrom the outlet when left unusedfor a long period of
time.
16. Object and Liquid Entry - Care shouldbe taken so that
objectsdo not falland liquidsare not spilled into the enclosure
through openings.
17. Damage Requiring Service -The applianceshould be serviced
by qualifiedservicepersonnel when:
A.The power supply cord or the plug hasbeen damaged;or
B. Objects havefallen,or liquid has been spilled into the appliance;
or
C.The appliance has been exposed to rain; or
D.The appliance does not appear to operate normally or exhibits
amarked changein performance;or
E, The apptiancehasbeen dropped, or the enclosuredamaged.
18. Servicing -The user should not attempt to service the appliance
beyond that describedin the operating instructions,All other
servicingshould be referred to qualified servicepersonnel
19. Alternate Warnings -This product isequipped with a three-
wire grounding-typeplug,a plughavinga third (grounding)pin,
This plugwill only fit into a grounding-typepower outlet Thit isa
safetyfeature,If you are unableto insert the pluginto the outlet,
contactyour electricianto replace your obsoleteoutlet, Do not
defeat the safety purpose of the grounding-type plug.
