UNPACKING YOUR WASHING MACHINE
1. Inspectandremoveallpackagingmaterialincludingtwobottomblocksoffoam.
2. Inspectandremoveallremainingpacking,tape,andremovableprintedmaterialsbeforestartingyour
ComboWasher/Dryer.

BEFORE OPERATING THIS APPLIANCE
• Packingmaterialsmaybedangeroustochildren.Keepallpackingmaterials(plasticbags,foams,etc.)away
from children.
• Ensurethatwaterandelectricaldevicesareproperlyconnectedbyaqualifiedtechnicianinaccordance
withthemanufacturer’s instructions(referto“Installation Requirements” onpage10)andlocalsafety
regulations.
• Before operating this machine, all packaging and transport bolts must be removed. (Refer to “Remove
Transport Bolts” on page 12.) Otherwise, the washing machine may be seriously damaged during operation.
• Before washing clothes for the first time, the washing machine must beoperated in “Cotton” and“Hot
Water” settingswithoutanyclothesinside.(Referto“Washing Clothes” onpage21.)
• Thiswashingmachineisforindooruseonly.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING : Proper Use
Toreducetheriskoffire,electricshock,orpersonalinjurywhen usingyourappliance,follow thesebasic
precautionaryguidelines,whichincludesthefollowing:
1. Readallinstructionsbeforeusingtheappliance.Unitmustbeproperlyinstalledasdescribedinthismanual
before use.
2. ALWAYSunplugthewashingmachinefromthepowersupplybeforeattemptinganyservice.Disconnectthe
powercordbygraspingtheplug,notthecord.NEVERpulloutpowerplugwithwetordamphands.
3. DONOTwasharticlesthathavebeenpreviouslycleanedin,washedin,soakedin,orspottedwithgasoline,
dry-cleaningsolvents,orotherflammableorexplosivesubstances,astheymaycontainvaporsthatcould
ignite orexplode.
4. DONOTaddgasoline,dry-cleaningsolvents,orotherflammableorexplosivesubstancestothewashwater.
These substances could ignite or explode.
5. Ifthehotwatersystemhasnotbeenusedfor2weeksormore,turnonallhot-waterfaucetsandlet
waterflowforseveralminutesbeforeusingthewashingmachine.Undercertainconditions,hydrogengas
(whichisEXPLOSIVE)maybeproducedinahotwatersystemthathasnotbeeninuse.Thiswillreleaseany
accumulatedhydrogengas.DONOTsmokeoruseanopenflameduringthisprocess,ashydrogengasis
highly flammable.
6. Toreducetheriskoffire,clothes,cleaningrags,mopheadsandthelikewhichhavetracesofanyflammable
substance(i.e.vegetableoil,cookingoil,petroleumbasedoilsordistillates,waxes,fats,etc.)mustnotbe
placedinthewashingmachine.Theseitemsmaycontainflammablesubstances,which,evenafterwashing,
maysmokeorcatchfire.
7. NEVERplaceitemsinthewasherthathavebeendampenedwithgasolineoranycombustibleorexplosive
substance.DONOTwashordryanything thathasbeen soakedinorspotted withanytypeofoil(including
cookingoils).Doingsocanresultinfire,explosion,ordeath.
8. DONOTallowchildrentoplayonorintheappliance.Closesupervisionofchildrenandpetsaroundthe
applianceisnecessary,astheymayclimbintoortamperwiththemachine.Checkthemachinebeforeeach
use.
9. Glassdoororprotectormaybecomeveryhotduringandafteroperation.Keepkidsandpetsfarawayfrom
themachineduringandaftereachoperation.
10. Thiswashingmachineisnotintendedforusebypersons(includingchildren)withreducedphysical,sensory
ormentalcapabilities,orlackofexperienceandknowledge.
11. Whenchildren become old enoughtooperate theappliance,itisthe legalresponsibilityoftheparentsor

items,press[START/PAUSE]buttonandallowthedrumtocometoacompletestopbeforereachinginside.
14. DO NOT install or store thisappliance where itwill be exposed to outdoor weather conditions or
temperatures below freezing.
15. DONOTtamperwith controls.

16. NEVERstopatumbledryerbeforetheendofthecycleandspreadoutclothessoheatcanbedissipated.
17. Disconnectplugfromthepowerreceptaclebeforeattemptinganycleaningormaintenance.
18. Ensurewaterinsidethedrumhasbeencompletelydrainedbeforeopeningthedoor.DONOTopenthe
doorifthere is any water visible.
19. Iftheplugorpowercordisdamaged,itmustbereplacedbythemanufacturer oraqualifiedserviceagent
toavoidanydanger.
20. Thiswashermustbepluggedintoa120V,60Hzgroundedoutlet.Ensurethepowervoltageandfrequency
meetstherequirementsofthewashingmachine.
21. Toensureyoursafety,powerplugmustbecompletelyinsertedintoaproperlygrounded3-prong
receptacle.Checkcarefullyandmakesureyourreceptacleisproperlyandreliablygrounded.
22. Toreduce theriskoffire, DO NOT dry articles containing foamrubber or similarly texturedrubber like
materials.
23. Beforetheapplianceisremovedfromserviceordiscarded,removethedoorandcutoffthepowercord.
24. It isrecommended to disconnect the plug and cutoffwater supplyafter operation.

UNPACKING THE WASHING MACHINE
• Unpack your washing machine and check for any damage.
• MakesurealltheIncludedParts(asshowninFigure3)arereceivedintheincludedbag.
• Ifthereisanydamagetothewashingmachineoranyitemismissing,contactyourlocaldealerimmediately.
DISPOSE OF PACKING MATERIALS
Thepackingmaterialsforthisappliancemaybedangeroustochildrenandmustbekeptawayfromchildrenand
disposedofproperly.Disposetherelatedpackingmaterialsaccordingtotherelevantlocalregulations.
LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
Selectingtheproperlocationforyourwashingmachineimprovesperformance,minimizesnoiseandprevents
possible washer “walk”. Your washer can be installed under a custom counter, in a basement, laundry room,
closet,orrecessedarea.Referto“Drain SystemOptions”onpage12forinstructionsonproperdrainingprotocol.
Companionappliancelocationrequirementsshouldalsobeconsidered.DONOTinstallyourunitinabathroom
(ordamproom)orroomsthatmaycontainexplosiveorcausticgases.Properinstallationisimportantforthe
operationofyourWasherDryerCombounit.Beforeinstallingthewashingmachine,thelocationmustbecarefully
selectedbasedonthefollowingrequirements:
• Rigid,dry,andlevelsurface(ifsurfaceisnotlevel,adjusttheleglevelers.(Referto“Leveling theWasher” on
page 13).
• Avoidexposureofappliancetodirectsunlight.
• Allow sufficient ventilation.
• Room temperature must be above 32°F(0°C).
• Keep far awayfrom any heat sources such as electric orgas stoves.
• Makesurethewashingmachinewillnotstandonpowercord.
• DONOTinstallthewashingmachineoncarpetedfloororonarug.

You will need:

• A grounded electrical outlet located within 6 ft.(1.8 m) ofwhere thepower cordisattached to the backof
thewasher.Referto“GroundingInstructions”onpage4.
• Hotandcoldwaterfaucetslocatedwithin4ft.(1.2m)ofthehotandcoldwaterfillvalves,andwater
pressure of20-100psi(137.9-689.6kPa).
• Alevelfloorwithamaximumslopeof1” (25mm)underentirewasher.DONOTinstallthewasheronsoft
floor surfaces, such as carpets or surfaces with foam backing.
• A sturdy and solid floor tosupport the washer with a total weight (waterand load) of200lbs.
• DONOToperateyourwasherintemperaturesbelow32°F(0°C).Somewatercanremaininthewasherand
can cause damage in low temperatures.
INSTALLATION CLEARANCES
• Thelocationmustbelargeenoughtoallowthewasherdoortobefullyopened.
• Additionalspacingshouldbeconsideredforeaseofinstallationandservicing.Thedooropensmorethan90°
anditisNOTreversible.
• Additionalclearancesmightberequiredforwall,doorandfloormoldings.
• Additionalspacingof1”(25mm)onallsidesofthewasherisrecommendedtoreducenoisetransfer.

REMOVE TRANSPORT BOLTS
Beforeusingthiswashingmachine,transportboltsmust
beremovedfromitsbackside. Takethe following steps
toremovethebolts:
1. Loosenallboltswithawrenchandthenremove.
2. Covertheholeswithincludedtransportholeplugs.
3. Storethetransportboltsproperlyforfutureuse.
CONNECT INLET PIPE
Connect the inlet pipe as indicated in Figure 7.
Formodelswithahotvalve,connectthehotvalveto
hot water tap.
INSTALL INLET PIPE
1. Connecttheelbowtothetapandfastenit
clockwise. (Refer to Figure 8.)
2. Connecttheotherendofinletpipetotheinlet
valveatthebacksideofwashingmachineand
fasten the pipe tightly clockwise.
NOTE :Afterconnection,ifthereisanyleakagefrom
thehose,repeattheabove stepstoconnectinletpipe.
Iftapissquareortoobig,thenstandardtapmustbe
changed to allow properfitting.

The floor drain system requires a siphon break that
may be purchased separately. The siphon break must

LEVELING THE WASHER
1. Whenpositioningthewashingmachine,checkthat
thelegsarecloselyattachedtothecabinet.Ifnot,
turnthemtotheiroriginalpositionswithhandor
spannerandtightenthenuts.
2. After positioning the washing machine, pressthe
four(4)cornersontop cover ofwashingmachine
insequence.Ifthewashingmachineisnotstable
whenpressed,thelegmustbeadjusted.
3. Ensure the position of the washing machine.
Loosenthelocknutwithwrenchandturntheleg
byhanduntilitcontactsthefloor.(RefertoFigure
13.)Pressthelegwithonehandandfastenthenut
closelytothecabinetwiththeotherhand.
4. Afterbeinglockedproperly,pressthefour
(4)cornersagaintoensurethelegshavebeen
adjusted properly. If itis still unstable, repeat
Steps2and3.
5. Useacarpenter’s levelonallfour(4)sidesto
ensuretheapplianceislevel.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
• Asthemaximumcurrentthroughtheunitis12A,whenusingtheheating(dryer)function,makesurethe
power supplysystem (current, power voltage andwire) atyourhomemeetstherequirementsofthis
appliance.
• Connectthepower toareceptaclewhichiscorrectlyinstalledandproperlygrounded.
• Makesurethepowervoltageiscompatiblewiththemachine’s ratinglabel.
• Powerplugmustmatch thereceptacle andunitmustbeproperlyandeffectivelygrounded.
• DONOTuseamulti-purposeplug,receptacleorextensioncord.

Ifthemachineistobeusedtodryaload,thenthewashload mustbereducedbyhalfforeffectivedrying
performance.Ifafullloadiswashed,removehalftheclothespriortostartingthedrycycle.Referto
“Control Panel” onpage15tolearnhowtopauseacycle.
DONOTcutoffwatersupplyorremovehoseattachmentsduringdrycycle.Thisisaventlessunitthat
releases moisture during drycycles.
Thedryerisequippedwithadoor-lockingsafetyfeaturetoensuresafetemperaturesandavoidburnsand
othersafetyhazards.ThedoorwillremainLOCKEDduringdrycycleuntiltheunitreachesasafetemperature.
Afterasafetemperatureisreached,thedoorshouldopenandfunctionnormally.
Dry Only Cycles
1. De-Wrinkle:Selectthisoptiontode-wrinkleclothes.Thereisonlyairduringthiscycle.Themaximum
drying time is 31minutes.
NOTE : the unit will automatically stop drying after 31 minutes even if items are not fully dry.
2. Dry:Thisoptionisforonlydryingaloadofclothes.SelecttheDryLevelaccordingtotheload.
Combo Wash/Dry Cycles
• Selectthisoption todry clothes immediately after washing with the Normal/Cotton, Heavy Duty or
Sportscycles.Theunitwilltransitfromwashtodry.
• Youmustselectthisoptionbeforestartingthewashcycle.
• Firstselectdesiredwashcycle(refertochartonPage22toseedryingcompatiblecycles).Then,add
dryoptionbyclickingthe[DryLevel]buttontothedesiredlevel.Asuniconshouldbedisplayedonthe
screen, indicating added dry time.
NOTE :Payattentiontotheloadsizewhenusingthisoption.Onlywashloadsatcapacityofdryer.(Refer
to“WashingandDryingCapacity”onpage20).
e. Time Save:Press [Time Save]todecrease the washing time.
f. Delay:Press[Delay]tosetadelaytimeforthewashtobegin.
• Thedelaystartlightwillflashtoindicatethedelaytime.Youcandelaythestarttimeofthecyclefrom
1-24hours.
g. Temp.: Press [Temp.] to set your desired washing temperature.
h. Spin:Press[Spin]toincreasespinspeed.
• Washer drum spins at a speed up to 1200 RPM which reduces drying time and saves energy.
• Pressthebuttonuntildesiredspeedislit(NoSpin,Low,Med,High,Highest).

SELECTING DETERGENT
• “Low bubble”detergent/washingpowderorwashingpowderspecificallymadefordrumwashingmachines
mustbeselected.Otherwise,excessivebubblesmaybegeneratedandoverflowoutofthedrawerwhichmay
damagetheunitandresultinaccidents.
• Bleachcandamageclothes.Usebleachwithcautionandfollowdetergentandclothingarticlecareinstructions.
• Powderdetergentscanleaveresidueinclothes.Clotheswashedwithpowderdetergentsmustbethoroughly
rinsed.
• Somedetergentsmaynotcompletelydissolveifthereistoomuchdetergentor watertemperatureistoolow.
• Washingmethodisbasedonweightofclothes,soillevel,localwaterhardnessaswellasthe
recommendationsfromthedetergentmanufacturers.Consultthewatercompanyifyouarenotclearof
waterhardness.

REMOVE ALL LOOSE ARTICLES FROM CLOTHES
Checkallpockets/compartmentsofclothestobewashedandremoveanylooseitemssuchasdecorationsand
coins. Loose items maydamage the washing machine.
IDENTIFY AND SEPARATE CLOTHES TO BE WASHED
Classifyclothes to bewashed intocotton,blended fiber,syntheticfiber,silk,woolandartificialfiber.Whiteand
coloredclothesmustbeidentifiedandseparated.
NOTE : All new colored fabrics must be washed separately.
• Accessories: Loose accessories on some clothes may become damaged and/or damage the washing machine.
Clothesthatcontainbuttonsorembroideriesmustbeturnedinside-outoverbeforebeingwashed.
• Fasteners:Zippersmustbeclosedandbuttonsorhooksmustbefirmlyaffixed.Anyloosebandsorribbons
mustbeboundtogetherbeforebeingwashed.
• Itishighlyrecommendedfabricsthatareeasilystained(whitesocks,collars,sleeves,etc)tobehandwashed
beforebeingputintowashingmachine.Usepowderorliquiddetergentsonly.
• Water-proofmaterials:Itisnotrecommendedwashingwater-prooffabricsastheymaybecomedamaged
and/ orcausedamagetothewashingmachineandotherclothes.
