waterflowforseveralminutesbeforeusingthewashingmachine.Undercertainconditions,hydrogengas
(whichisEXPLOSIVE)maybeproducedinahotwatersystemthathasnotbeeninuse.Thiswillreleaseany
accumulatedhydrogengas.DONOTsmokeoruseanopenflameduringthisprocess,ashydrogengasis
highly flammable.

Toreducetheriskoffire,clothes,cleaningrags,mopheadsandthelikewhichhavetracesofanyflammable
substance(i.e.vegetableoil,cookingoil,petroleumbasedoilsordistillates,waxes,fats,etc.)mustnotbe
placedinthewashingmachine.Theseitemsmaycontainflammablesubstances,which,evenafterwashing,
maysmokeorcatchfire.

NEVERplaceitemsinthewasherthathavebeendampenedwithgasolineoranycombustibleorexplosive
substance.DONOTwashordryanything thathasbeen soakedinorspotted withanytypeofoil(including
cookingoils).Doingsocanresultinfire,explosion,ordeath.

DONOTallowchildrentoplayonorintheappliance.Closesupervisionofchildrenandpetsaroundthe
applianceisnecessary,astheymayclimbintoortamperwiththemachine.Checkthemachinebeforeeach
use.

DISPOSE OF PACKING MATERIALS
Thepackingmaterialsforthisappliancemaybedangeroustochildrenandmustbekeptawayfromchildrenand
disposedofproperly.Disposetherelatedpackingmaterialsaccordingtotherelevantlocalregulations.
LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
Selectingtheproperlocationforyourwashingmachineimprovesperformance,minimizesnoiseandprevents
possible washer “walk”. Your washer can be installed under a custom counter, in a basement, laundry room,
closet,orrecessedarea.Referto“Drain SystemOptions”onpage12forinstructionsonproperdrainingprotocol.
Companionappliancelocationrequirementsshouldalsobeconsidered.DONOTinstallyourunitinabathroom
(ordamproom)orroomsthatmaycontainexplosiveorcausticgases.Properinstallationisimportantforthe
operationofyourWasherDryerCombounit.Beforeinstallingthewashingmachine,thelocationmustbecarefully
selectedbasedonthefollowingrequirements:

Hotandcoldwaterfaucetslocatedwithin4ft.(1.2m)ofthehotandcoldwaterfillvalves,andwater
pressure of20-100psi(137.9-689.6kPa).
•
Alevelfloorwithamaximumslopeof1” (25mm)underentirewasher.DONOTinstallthewasheronsoft
floor surfaces, such as carpets or surfaces with foam backing.
•
A sturdy and solid floor tosupport the washer with a total weight (waterand load) of200lbs.
•
DONOToperateyourwasherintemperaturesbelow32°F(0°C).Somewatercanremaininthewasherand
can cause damage in low temperatures.
INSTALLATION CLEARANCES

REMOVE TRANSPORT BOLTS
Beforeusingthiswashingmachine,transportboltsmust
beremovedfromitsbackside. Takethe following steps
toremovethebolts:
1.
Loosenallboltswithawrenchandthenremove.
2.
Covertheholeswithincludedtransportholeplugs.
3.
Storethetransportboltsproperlyforfutureuse.
CONNECT INLET PIPE
Connect the inlet pipe as indicated in Figure 7.
Formodelswithahotvalve,connectthehotvalveto
hot water tap.
INSTALL INLET PIPE
1.
Connecttheelbowtothetapandfastenit
clockwise. (Refer to Figure 8.)
2.
Connecttheotherendofinletpipetotheinlet
valveatthebacksideofwashingmachineand
fasten the pipe tightly clockwise.
NOTE
:Afterconnection,ifthereisanyleakagefrom
thehose,repeattheabove stepstoconnectinletpipe.
Iftapissquareortoobig,thenstandardtapmustbe
changed to allow properfitting.

Floor Drain System (Figure 12)
The floor drain system requires a siphon break that
may be purchased separately. The siphon break must
be a minimum of 28” (710 mm) from the bottom
of the washer.

LEVELING THE WASHER
1.
Whenpositioningthewashingmachine,checkthat
thelegsarecloselyattachedtothecabinet.Ifnot,
turnthemtotheiroriginalpositionswithhandor
spannerandtightenthenuts.
2.
After positioning the washing machine, pressthe
four(4)cornersontop cover ofwashingmachine
insequence.Ifthewashingmachineisnotstable
whenpressed,thelegmustbeadjusted.
3.
Ensure the position of the washing machine.
Loosenthelocknutwithwrenchandturntheleg
byhanduntilitcontactsthefloor.(RefertoFigure
13.)Pressthelegwithonehandandfastenthenut
closelytothecabinetwiththeotherhand.
4.
Afterbeinglockedproperly,pressthefour
(4)cornersagaintoensurethelegshavebeen
adjusted properly. If itis still unstable, repeat
Steps2and3.
5.
Useacarpenter’s levelonallfour(4)sidesto
ensuretheapplianceislevel.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
•
Asthemaximumcurrentthroughtheunitis12A,whenusingtheheating(dryer)function,makesurethe
power supplysystem (current, power voltage andwire) atyourhomemeetstherequirementsofthis
appliance.
•
Connectthepower toareceptaclewhichiscorrectlyinstalledandproperlygrounded.

Makesurethepowervoltageiscompatiblewiththemachine’s ratinglabel.

“Control Panel” onpage15tolearnhowtopauseacycle.
DONOTcutoffwatersupplyorremovehoseattachmentsduringdrycycle.Thisisaventlessunitthat
releases moisture during drycycles.
Thedryerisequippedwithadoor-lockingsafetyfeaturetoensuresafetemperaturesandavoidburnsand
othersafetyhazards.ThedoorwillremainLOCKEDduringdrycycleuntiltheunitreachesasafetemperature.
Afterasafetemperatureisreached,thedoorshouldopenandfunctionnormally.
Dry Only Cycles
1.
De-Wrinkle:Selectthisoptiontode-wrinkleclothes.Thereisonlyairduringthiscycle.Themaximum
drying time is 31minutes.
NOTE
: the unit will automatically stop drying after 31 minutes even if items are not fully dry.
2.
Dry:Thisoptionisforonlydryingaloadofclothes.SelecttheDryLevelaccordingtotheload.
Combo Wash/Dry Cycles
•
Selectthisoption todry clothes immediately after washing with the Normal/Cotton, Heavy Duty or
Sportscycles.Theunitwilltransitfromwashtodry.
•
Youmustselectthisoptionbeforestartingthewashcycle.
•
Firstselectdesiredwashcycle(refertochartonPage22toseedryingcompatiblecycles).Then,add
dryoptionbyclickingthe[DryLevel]buttontothedesiredlevel.Asuniconshouldbedisplayedonthe
screen, indicating added dry time.

Bleachcandamageclothes.Usebleachwithcautionandfollowdetergentandclothingarticlecareinstructions.

Powderdetergentscanleaveresidueinclothes.Clotheswashedwithpowderdetergentsmustbethoroughly
rinsed.

Somedetergentsmaynotcompletelydissolveifthereistoomuchdetergentor watertemperatureistoolow.
