1INTRODUCTION
The 6265 is afan cooled 1U framefor modular products. The maximum
possible in one frameis three modules. Anyappropriate module with rear
connectors can be fitted provided the power requirements are within the
capabilities ofthe transformer.

3GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The 6265 frame comprises ofthe following main parts:
1U frame
6265 motherboard
The framehas 3horizontal card positions for 3U cards and apower supply
section. Also each module requires a suitable rear terminating panel.

4INSTALLATION
WARNING: Ensure that the power supplyhas been factoryset to the
correct local mains value before connecting power to the unit bychecking
the manufacturers labelon the side.
WARNING: All of the modules fitted contain static sensitivecomponents
and full anti-static precautions should be taken when handling them.
4.1Mechanical
The enclosure is rackmountable using the 2rackears provided at the front to
secure it in place. Access to the modules fitted in this frameis gained by
opening the front panel.
4.1.1Fan Cooling
The frameis cooled bya40mm fan. The fan is inoperation continuosly,and
airflowis fromright to left.
4.1.2Plug In Modules
Plug in modules are removed and replaced with the systempowered or
unpowered using card ejectors. When replacing modules care should be taken
to push themfullyhome.
4.1.3Rear Connector Panels
The main rear connector panel is push fit onto the motherboard and secured in
place byscrews.
4.1.4Power Supply
The PSU comprises ofatransformer and avoltage selector and is fixed in the
frame.
4.2Earthing
The three systemearths, Mains earth, Signal earth and Chassis earth are hard
wired within the frame.
4.3Mains Voltage Setting For Power Supply
The mains voltage is front selectable and initiallyset for 240V.

5MAINTENANCE AND WARRANTY
5.1General
No regular maintenance is required on this product or anyofits sub-units. In the
case offaults, first checkthe regulated power supplies using the PSU monitor
points.
5.2Warranty
HARDWARE PRODUCTS
Hardware products are warranted for aperiod oftwoyears fromthe date of
shipment. During this period Pro-Bel, at its discretion, will repair or exchange
products proved to be defective providing that the products are returned to
Pro-Bel, carriage pre-paid. The companywill use its best efforts to ensure that
returned itemsare repaired and despatched within the ten working daysof
receipt. Third partyitems, including PC hardware or anyoutsourced equipment
is limited to the original manufacturers warranty, typicallyone year.
SOFTWARE PRODUCTS
Software Products are warranted for aperiod ofninetydaysfromthe date of
shipment.During this period Pro-Bel undertakes to rectifyproducts proved not
to conformto the published specification provided with the product, when used
in accordance with PC hardware and operating systems approved byPro-Bel.
Loans
Within the warrantyperiod, the companywill, at its discretion and subject to
availability,provide loan units pending the repair ofreturned items. loans are
offered on ano charge basis providing that the loan units are returned to
Pro-Bel within aperiod oftwentyone daysfollowing the date ofdespatch ofthe
repaired items. In the event that the loan units are not returned within this
period, the loan units will be subject to amonthlyoverdue charge, details of
which are available on request. carriage charges applyto all loans.
NON WARRANTY PERIOD
Outside the stated warrantyperiod, the companywill use its best endeavours to
rectifyequipment failures through the provision ofspare parts or in house repair
services.
Loan units mayalso be provided subject to availability.All services and carriage
costs are subject to ascale ofcharges, details ofwhich are available on
request.
WARNING: Ensure that anyreturned unit is adequatelyand appropriately
packed; for example, do not pack static sensitiveproduct in common
polythene.
