properties and minimal low global warming potential and
no ozone depletion potential.
This appliance contains a small quantity of fl ammable, non-
synthetic R600a refrigerant:
Hydrocarbon refrigerants cannot be ‘retrofi tted’ to the appliance
that has not been designed and approved to use that type of
refrigerant.
Ensure that the tubing of the refrigerant circuit is not damaged
during transportation and installation.
Leaking refrigerant may cause eye injuries or could ignite.
The room for installing the appliance must be at least 1m3 per 8g
of refrigerant. The amount of refrigerant in the appliance can be
found on the rating plate attached to the appliance.
Risk of fire
If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged. Avoid

power supply within a voltage range of 220~240V/50Hz.
Don’t splash water on the rear of the appliance,
for it may cause malfunction or electric shock.
Containers with fl ammable gases or liquids can leak at
low temperature. There is a risk of explosion.
Do not store any container with fl ammable materials such
as spray cans in the freezer.
Do not operate any electrical appliance in the freezer (e.g.
electric ice cream makers, mixers etc.).
Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance

vertical direction). Please avoid strong vibration and impacts that could
cause damage to the appliance.
2. The freezer should be located on a fi rm and fl at surface. An uneven
surface may cause excess operating noise or vibration.
(a) The noise may be increased if the fl oor is not fi rm.
(b) If the appliance is to be positioned on carpet fl ooring and heat
emitted from the appliance is a concern, place a solid sheet
under the appliance.
3. Choose a location which is not exposed to sunlight, high
temperature or humid, as humidity may cause staining.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
PLACEMENT OF FOOD
1. There should always be some space between
items inside for air circulation.
2. Food should be kept in sealed packaging to
avoid becoming dry or spoilt.
3. Hot food should be cooled down before placing
into the appliance. Otherwise, the interior
temperature and power consumption will increase.
4. Reduce opening the door frequently.
This will increase the appliance effi cienûıy and reduce
power consumption.
Do not use any electronic equipment inside the appliance.
The temperature of freezer can be controlled manually by adjusting the
thermostat dial located at rear. However, the number shown on the dial
does not directly represent the temperature. Instead, the
larger the number is, the lower the interior temperature will be.
0 stands for off (refrigeration system only). Turn the dial to
position 4 for normal use, turn it to position 4-7 if a lower interior
temperature is required; alternatively, to increase the interior temperature
select position 4-1. The fi rst time you turn the unit on set the temperature
control to the maximum position, using a coin or fl athead screwdriver.
After 24 to 48 hours, adjust the temperature control to the setting that best
suites your needs.
Do not store objects which are costly or subject to temperature
variations. e.g. medication or chemicals.
ICE MAKING
To make ice cubes, fi ll the ice tray with potable water
and place it in the freezer. To remove ice cubes

DEFROSTING
Heavy frost will effect the refrigerating process or internal temperature of
the appliance and increase the power consumption. Thus, defrosting is
required if the frost is >5mm thick. Defrosting is a manual process. Please
follow these steps:
1. Switch off and disconnect the appliance.
2. Remove all food from the ice box and freezer compartments.
3. Remove the freezer drawer.
4. Open the door and wait for the ice to defrost.
5. When de-icing, a scraper or plastic utensil may be used. Never use
metal instruments or electrical appliances to de-ice the ice box.
6. To speed up the defrosting process, you can place a bowl of hot water
in the compartment and close the door.
7. When defrosting is complete, clean the appliance.
8. Replace the shelf and food before restoring power.
Do not use an electric heater or hair dryer to increase the
defrost process. It may destroy the cooling system.
ENERGY SAVING TIPS
1. Adjust the temperature control to a setting that is acceptable for the
storage of the food. This will reduce the power consumption.
2. Only open the door when required. Frequently opening the door will
increase power consumption.
