The V4GODBII GPS tracker is pre-activated and ready to install. It is a plug and play device.
V4G OBDII INDICATOR LIGHTS
• The Red indicator light lets you know that your device is on and has power.
Trouble Shooting * Please make sure the device is firmly plugged into the OBDII socket of
the vehicle.
• The Blue indicator light lets you know the status of your GPS signal. The GPS gives a
current and accurate location for the device.
FLASHING - Searching for GPS signal / SOLID - GPS has signal.
Trouble Shooting * The first time the device is activated it can take several minutes to achieve a GPS signal. *
Please make sure the vehicle is located outside with an unobstructed view of the sky.
• The Yellow indicator light lets you know the status of your GSM signal. The GSM module is what connects the
device to local cellular networks.
FLASHING - Searching for GSM signal / SOLID - GSM has signal.
Trouble Shooting * The first time the device is activated it can take several minutes to achieve a GPS signal. *
Please make sure the device is plugged in the vehicle and the vehicle is outside.
OPTION 1: EASY INSTALL
1) Please have the vehicle outside with an unobstructed view
of the sky to obtain and calibrate the GPS signal on the GPS
device.
2) Locate the OBDII harness on the vehicle. NOTE*** It is
usually under the dashboard on the driver side. Please
reference the vehicles user manual for assistance in locating
the vehicles OBDII harness.
3) Plug the GPS device firmly into the vehicles OBDII harness.
4) Please reference the GPS platform and wait for the GSM
signal to be established. It can take a few minutes to
establish a connection with the local cellular network.
5) Once a network connection is established you will see a
location on the map.

OPTION 2: OBDII Y CABLE INSTALL
1) Locate the vehicles OBDII harness and remove the
surrounding dashboard panel.
2) Unclip the vehicles OBDII and plug it into section 3 of
The OBDII Y cable.
3) Clip section 1 of the OBDII Y cable into the vehicle
replacing the vehicles original OBDII harness.
4) Plug the V4G OBDII GPS device into section 2 of the
OBDII Y cable.
5) Secure all wiring and reinstall the vehicles dashboard
panel.
OPTION 3: TWO WIRES HARDWIRE INSTALL
1) Plug the V4G OBDII device into the adapter.
2) Plug the adapter into the power harness.
3) Find a constant 12-volt power source in the vehicle
4) Disconnect the vehicle’s battery with the ignition off to
avoid any damage.
5) Ground the GPS device by connecting the black wire to
the vehicles frame or suitable ground.
6) Connect the red wire from the power harness to the
vehicles constant power
7) Reconnect the battery of the vehicle
Black - Ground
Red - 12 volts constant

OPTION 4: INSTALL WITH STARTER INTERRUPT HARNESS
1) Plug the V4G OBDII device into the adapter.
2) Plug the adapter into the power harness.
3) Find a constant power source in the vehicle
4) Disconnect the vehicle’s battery with the ignition off to avoid any damage.
5) Ground the GPS device by connecting the black wire to the vehicles frame or suitable
ground.
6) Connect the red wire from the power harness to the vehicles constant power
7) Locate the vehicles starter wire (NOT ignition wire). NOTE*** The starter wire is only
powered when cranking
8) Cut the vehicles starter wire and connect the Key side to the thick black wire on the relay
harness, then connect the starter side to the thick white wire on the relay harness.
9) Plug the GPS device into the wire harness and reconnect the vehicle’s battery
Black – Key Side
White – Starter side
Noir – Mise à la terre
Rouge – 12 volts constant
Black - Ground
Red - 12 volts constant

IMPORTANT FACTS
• Please make sure the device and vehicle are located outside and away from a tall building to obtain the GSM and GPS signal for the
first time.
• The device should connect to the network within 1-3 minutes. In the event that you do not get a location after 10 minutes please
unplug the device and remove and reinstall the SIM card. This will reset the device.
• Do not install the device, or its wiring, in the immediate vicinity of an airbag or into its deployment path.
• The device should be installed behind the dashboard on a flat surface, preferably behind the instrument cluster. Making sure that
there is no metal directly above it.
• Never install the device under the hood, under seats, heater / air vent, or in the trunk.
NOTE: These instructions are for reference only. Please verify the industry best practices and relevant vehicle manufacturer recommendations
when installing the device.
2 Year Consumer Limited Warranty Policy
RCI’S GPS products are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of activation. Within this
period, RCI will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use. Such repairs or replacement will be made at no
charge to the customer for parts or labor. The customer shall be responsible for any transportation cost. This warranty does not apply to: (i)
cosmetic damage, such as scratches, nicks and dents; (ii) consumable parts, such as batteries, unless product damage has occurred due to a
defect in materials or workmanship; (iii) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water, flood, fire, or other acts of nature or external
causes; (iv) damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not an authorized service provider of RCI. RCI reserves the right to refuse
warranty claims. Warranty will only apply to devices sold in Canada and USA.
RCI products are intended to be used as asset protection devices ONLY. RCI products are NOT Fleet management products. RCI products are
designed to recover an asset in the event of default on payment or theft. RCI products are not intended for daily live tracking inquires. Overuse
of the platform will void any warranty claims.
Repairs and exchanges have a 90-day warranty. If the unit sent in is still under its original warranty, then the new warranty is 90 days or to the
end of the original two-year warranty, depending upon which is longer.
IN NO EVENT SHALL RCI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER RESULTING FROM THE
USE, MISUSE, OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT OR FROM DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCT. SOME STATES PROVINCES, AND TERRITORIES DO NOT
ALLOW THE USE OF GPS DEVICES FOR ASSET PROTECTION SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS.
RCI retains the exclusive right to repair or replace (with a new or newly overhauled replacement product) the device or software or offer a full
refund of the purchase price at its sole discretion.
Warranty is not exchangeable.
To obtain warranty service, contact your local RCI authorized dealer/retailer or call RCI Product Support 1-877-940-3028. Securely pack the
device and a copy of the original sales receipt, which is required as the proof of purchase for warranty repairs/replacements. Freight charges
must be prepaid.
