negotiate the obstacles they encounter, but to perform their work more safely.
Each time the Pow’rench is manually advanced slightly more than 30 degrees in a simple wrenching motion, it delivers a powerful torsional im-
pact equal to many times the applied force. The more work resistance, the stronger the impact until the maximum torque is reached. The power
originates in its spring loaded handle through a linkage to a rotary hammer. Impacts result from either continuous movement of the handle in one
direction or by reciprocating it as a ratchet wrench.

4.4. (DIS)CONNECTING SQUARE DRIVES
Two socket retaining pins are provided for attaching the Pow’rench to the impact socket or to different offsets and
extensions. The pins slip in and out easily and are held in place by friction.
Select the required square drive.
Connect the offset to the Pow’rench by aligning the socket retaining pins with the offset’s sockets.
To disconnect, hold the attached square drive and pull until it comes off.

4.6. ADJUSTING THE POWER
The Pow’renches contain one control located in the handle. This control allows four power
settings (except on the Model 625, which contains only 3 settings). The power level per impact is indicated by, and is
proportional to, the position number of the indicator in the slotted side of the product handle.
THE POWER OUTPUT INCREASES AS THE SETTING NUMBER IS INCREASED. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE LOWEST
POWER SETTING THAT WILL DO THE JOB BE USED WHENEVER POSSIBLE. A POWER SETTING OVER 3 SHOULD BE
USED ONLY WHEN THIS EXTREME POWER IS REALLY NECESSARY.
Place the set screw wrench on the set screw head, recessed in the end of the handle.
Turn the set screw head with the set screw wrench.
Adjust the position of the set screw head to the required setting.

With a precision torque measuring device, check the tightness of the bolt to ascertain if the correct value was attained.
With the appropriate size Pow’rench, loosen the nut or bolt counting the number of impacts required to render it free from any bind.
Repeat this procedure until the precise torque value is attained by adding or omitting impacts.
