INTRODUCTION
Thank you for your purchasing the product of
our company. The present manual explains how
to handle it well. Before using it, please read this
instruction manual carefully, operate the machine
correctly and engage in your task with safely.
Specications, descriptions and illustrative ma-
terial in this manual are as accurate as known at
the time of publication, but are subject to change
without notice. Illustrations may include optional
equipment and accessories, and may not include
all standard equipment.
Intended use
The product is intended for cutting wood logs and
limbs. It must not be used for cutting other mate-
rials, such as plastic, stone, metal, wood that con-
tains foreign objects, or materials that are harmful
to health. This product should not be used outside
of domestic premises e.g. for cutting rewood in
forested areas.
The product may only be used with the guide bar/
saw chain combination stated within these ins-
tructions. The use of other types or sizes is not
allowed. With this product vertical and horizontal
cuts can be performed. Longitudinal sections may
only be cut by professionals.
For safety reasons it is essential to read the enti-
re instruction manual before rst operation and to
observe all the instructions therein. This product
is intended for private domestic use only, not for
any commercial use. It must not be used for any
purposes other than those described.

1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well
lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite
accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in
explosive atmospheres, such as
in the presence of flammable li-
quids, gases or dust. Power tools

c) Keep children and bystanders
away while operating a power
tool. Distractions can cause you
to lose control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match
the outlet. Never modify the plug
in any way. Do not use any adap-
ter plugs with earthed (groun-
ded) power tools. Unmodified
plugs and matching outlets will
reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with ear-
thed or grounded surfaces, such
as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increa-
sed risk of electric shock if your
body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to
rain or wet conditions. Water en-
tering a power tool will increase
the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never
use the cord for carrying, pulling
or unplugging the power tool.
Keep cord away from heat, oil,
sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords in-
crease the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool
outdoors, use an extension cord
suitable for outdoor use. Use of
a cord suitable for outdoor use
reduces the risk of electric shock.
f)If operating a power tool in a
damp location is unavoidable,
use a residual current device
(RCD) protected supply. Use of
an RCD reduces the risk of elec-
tric shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are
doing and use common sense
when operating a power tool. Do
not use a power tool while you
are tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medication.
A moment of inattention while
operating power tools may result
in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equi-
pment. Always wear eye protec-
tion. Protective equipment such
as dust mask, non-skid safety
shoes, hard hat, or hearing pro-
tection used for appropriate con-
ditions will reduce personal inju-
ries.
c) Prevent unintentional star-
ting. Ensure the switch is in the
off-position before connecting
to power source and/or battery
pack, picking up or carrying the
tool. Carrying power tools with
your finger on the switch or ener-
gising power tools that have the
switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or
wrench before turning the power
tool on. A wrench or a key left
attached to a rotating part of the
power tool may result in personal
injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep pro-
per footing and balance at all ti-
mes. This enables better control
of the power tool in unexpected
situations.
f)Dress properly. Do not wear
loose clothing or jewellery. Keep
your hair, clothing and gloves
away from moving parts. Loose
clothes, jewellery or long hair can
be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the

connection of dust extraction and
collection facilities, ensure these
are connected and properly used.
Use of dust collection can reduce
dust-related hazards.
h) Do not let familiarity gained
from frequent use of tools allow
you to become complacent and
ignore tool safety principles. A
careless action can cause severe
injury within a fraction of a se-
cond.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool.
Use the correct power tool for
your application. The correct
power tool will do the job better
and safer at the rate for which it
was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if
the switch does not turn it on and
off. Any power tool that cannot
be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the
power source and/or the battery
pack from the power tool be-
fore making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing
power tools. Such preventive sa-
fety measures reduce the risk of
starting the powertool accidenta-
lly.
d) Store idle power tools out of
the reach of children and do not
allow persons unfamiliar with the
power tool or these instructions
to operate the power tool. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands
of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check
for misalignment or binding of
moving parts, breakage of parts
and any other condition that may
affect the power tool’s operation.
If damaged, have the power tool
repaired before use. Many acci-
dents are caused by poorly main-
tained power tools.
f)Keep cutting tools sharp and
clean. Properly maintained cut-
ting tools with sharp cutting ed-
ges are less likely to bind and are
easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, acces-
sories and tool bits etc. in accor-
dance with these instructions,
taking into account the working
conditions and the work to be
performed. Use of the power
tool for operations different from
those intended could result in a
hazardous situation.
h) Keep handles and grasping
surfaces dry, clean and free from
oil and grease.Slippery handles
and grasping surfaces do not
allow for safe handling and con-
trol of the tool in unexpected si-
tuations
5) Battery tool use and care
a) Recharge only with the char-
ger specified by the manufac-
turer. A charger that is suitable
for one type of battery pack may
create a risk of fire when used
with another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with
specifically designated battery
packs. Use of any other battery
packs may create a risk of injury
and fire.
c) When battery pack is not in
use, keep it away from other me-
tal objects, like paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws or other small

metal objects, that can make a
connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery ter-
minals together may cause burns
or a fire.
d) Under abusive conditions, li-
quid may be ejected from the
battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with
water. If liquid contacts eyes,
additionally seek medical help. Li-
quid ejected from the battery may
cause irritation or burns.
6) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced
by a qualified repair person using
only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of
the power tool is maintained
Chain saw safety warnings (IEC
60745-2-13:2006+A1:2009)
• Keep all parts of the body away
from the saw chain when the chain
saw is operating. Before you start
the chain saw, make sure the saw
chain is not contacting anything.
A moment of inattention while
operating chain saws may cause
entanglement of your clothing or
body with the saw chain.
• Always hold the chain saw with
your right hand on the rear hand-
le and your left hand on the front
handle. Holding the chain saw
with a reversed hand configura-
tion increases the risk of personal
injury and should never be done.
• Hold the power tool by insulated
gripping surfaces only, because
the saw chain may contact hidden
wiring or its own cord. Saw cha-
ins contacting a “live” wire may
make exposed metal parts of the
power tool “live” and could give
the operator an electric shock.
• Wear safety glasses and hea-
ring protection. Further protec-
tive equipment for head, hands,
legs and feet is recommended.
Adequate protective clothing will
reduce personal injury by flying
debris or accidental contact with
the saw chain.
• Do not operate a chain saw in
a tree. Operation of a chain saw
while up in a tree may result in
personal injury.
• Always keep proper footing and
operate the chain saw only when
standing on fixed, secure and le-
vel surface. Slippery or unstable
surfaces such as ladders may
cause a loss of balance or control
of the chain saw.
• When cutting a limb that is un-
der tension be alert for spring
back. When the tension in the
wood fibres is released the spring
loaded limb may strike the ope-
rator and/or throw the chain saw
out of control.
• Use extreme caution when cut-
ting brush and saplings. The slen-
der material may catch the saw
chain and be whipped toward you
or pull you off balance.
• Carry the chain saw by the
front handle with the chain saw
switched off and away from your
body. When transporting or sto-
ring the chain saw always fit the
guide bar cover. Proper handling
of the chain saw will reduce the
likelihood of accidental contact
with the moving saw chain.
• Follow instructions for lubrica-
ting, chain tensioning and chan-

ging accessories. Improperly
tensioned or lubricated chain may
either break or increase the chan-
ce for kickback.
• Keep handles dry, clean, and
free from oil and grease. Greasy,
oily handles are slippery causing
loss of control.
• Cut wood only. Do not use chain
saw for purposes not intended.
For example: do not use chain
saw for cutting plastic, masonry
or non-wood building materials.
Use of the chain saw for opera-
tions different than intended could
result in a hazardous situation.
• Do not attempt to fell a tree un-
til you have an understanding of
the risks and how to avoid them.
Serious injury could occur to the
operator or bystanders while fe-
lling a tree.
• This chain saw is not intended
for tree felling. Use of the chain
saw for operations different than
intended could result in serious
injury to the operator or bystan-
ders.
Causes and operator prevention
of kickback:
Kickback may occur when the
nose or tip of the guide bar tou-
ches an object, or when the wood
closes in and pinches the saw
chain in the cut.
Tip contact in some cases may
cause a sudden reverse reaction,
kicking the guide bar up and back
towards the operator.
Pinching the saw chain along the
top of the guide bar may push the
guide bar rapidly back towards
the operator.
Either of these reactions may
cause you to lose control of the
saw which could result in serious
personal injury. Do not rely ex-
clusively upon the safety devices
built into your saw. As a chain
saw user, you should take seve-
ral steps to keep your cutting jobs
free from accident or injury.
Kickback is the result of tool mi-
suse and/or incorrect operating
procedures or conditions and can
be avoided by taking proper pre-
cautions as given below:
• Maintain a firm grip, with
thumbs and fingers encircling
the chain saw handles, with both
hands on the saw and position
your body and arm to allow you to
resist kickback forces. Kickback
forces can be controlled by the
operator, if proper precautions are
taken. Do not let go of the chain
saw.
• Do not overreach and do not cut
above shoulder height. This helps
prevent unintended tip contact
and enables better control of the
chain saw in unexpected situa-
tions.
• Only use replacement bars and
chains specified by the manu-
facturer. Incorrect replacement
bars and chains may cause chain
breakage and/or kickback.
• Follow the manufacturer’s shar-
pening and maintenance instruc-
tions for the saw chain. Decrea-
sing the depth gauge height can
lead to increased kickback.
Additional safety warnings for
operation (
• Always remove the battery pack

before assembling, adjusting or
cleaning, and before leaving the
machine unattended for any pe-
riod.
• Checking the completeness, as-
sembly and setting of the chain
saw (see details below) before
start to work. Repeat the checking
regularly during your work.
• It is recommended that the unex-
perienced user should have prac-
tical instruction in the use of the
chainsaw and the protective equi-
pment from an experienced ope-
rator. The initial practice should
be cutting logs on a saw horse or
cradle.
• This tool is not intended for use
by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of expe-
rience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible
for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
• Children and juveniles, with the
exception of apprentices older
than 16 years and under super-
vision, may not operate the chain
saw. The same applies for persons
who do not or do not sufficiently
know how to handle the chain saw.
• The operating instructions
should always be ready to hand.
Persons unfit or tired must not
operate the chain saw.
• Wait until the chain has come to
a standstill completely before pla-
cing it down.
Battery pack safety warnings
• Ensure the switch is in the off
position before inserting battery
pack. Inserting the battery pack
into machines that have the switch
on can cause accidents.

intended specifically for this ma-
chine. Use of any other battery
packs may create a risk of injury
and fire.
• Do not open the battery. Danger
of short-circuiting.

(e. g., against continuous intense
sunlight and fire) water and mois-
ture. Danger of explosion.
• In case of damage and improper
use of the battery, vapours may
be emitted. Ventilate the area and
seek medical help in case of com-
plaints. The vapours can irritate
the respiratory system.
• Use the battery pack only in con-
junction with this product and/
or product family. This measure
alone protects the battery against
dangerous overload.
• The battery can be damaged by
pointed objects such as nails or
screwdrivers or by force applied
externally. An internal short cir-
cuit can occur and the battery can
burn, smoke, explode or overheat.
• Do not short-circuit the battery.
There is danger of explosion.
• Store and use the battery only
within a temperature range bet-
ween –20 °C and 50 °C. As an
example, do not leave the battery
in the car in summer.
• Occasionally clean the venting
slots and contact pins of the bat-
tery pack using a soft, clean and
dry brush.

Vibration and noise reduction
To reduce the impact of noise and
vibration emission, limit the time
of operation, use low-vibration
and low-noise operating modes as
well as wear personal protective
equipment.
Take the following points into ac-
count to minimize the vibration
and noise exposure risks:
1. Only use the product as inten-
ded by its design and these ins-
tructions.
2. Ensure that the product is in
good condition and well maintai-
ned.
3. Use correct attachments for
the product and ensure they are in
good condition.
4. Keep tight grip on the handles/
gripping surface.
5. Maintain this product in accor-
dance with these instructions and
keep it well lubricated (where ap-
propriate).
6. Plan your work schedule to
spread any high vibration tool use
across a longer period of time.
7. Prolonged use of the product
exposes the user to vibrations that
can cause a range of conditions
collectively known as hand-arm
vibration syndrome (HAVS) e.g.
fingers going white; as well as
specific diseases such as carpal
tunnel syndrome.

• To reduce this risk when using
the product, always wear protec-
tive gloves and keep your hands
warm.
• The symptoms of HAVS include
any combination of the following:
Tingling and numbness in the
fingers; Not being able to feel
things properly; Loss of strength
in the hands; Fingers going white
(blanching) and becoming red and
painful on recovery (particularly
in the cold and wet, and probably
only in the tips at first). Seek me-
dical advice immediately if such
symptoms are experienced.
Emergency
Familiarize yourself with the use of
this product by means of this ins-
truction manual. Memorize the sa-
fety directions and follow them to
the letter. This will help to prevent
risks and hazards.
1. Always be alert when using this
product, so that you can recognize
and handle risks early. Fast inter-
vention can prevent serious injury
and damage to property.
2. Switch off the product and re-
move the battery pack if there are
malfunctions. Have the product
checked by a qualified professio-
nal and repaired, if necessary, be-
fore you operate it again.
Residual risks
Even if you are operating this
product in accordance with all
the safety requirements, potential
risks of injury and damage remain.
The following dangers can arise in
connection with the structure and
design of this product:
1. Health defects resulting from
vibration emission if the product
is being used over long periods of
time or not adequately managed
and properly maintained.
2. Injuries and damage to proper-
ty due to broken attachments or
the sudden impact of hidden ob-
jects during use.
3. Danger of injury and property
damage caused by flying objects.
4. Prolonged use of this product
expose the operator to vibrations
and may produce ‘whitefinger’ di-
sease. In order to reduce the risk,
please wear gloves and keep your
hands warm. If any of the ‘white-
finger’ symptoms appear, seek
medical advice immediately. ‘Whi-
tefinger’ symptoms include: num-
bness, loss of feeling, tingling,
pricking, pain, loss of strength,
changes in skin colour or condi-
tion. These symptoms normally
appear in the fingers, hands or
wrists. The risk increases at low
temperatures.
WARNING! This product

3. HOW TO USE
Please note the technical specications of the pro-
duct before proceeding with the assembly of the
product:

Instructions of use
1. To place the battery into the product, slide it
through the bottom of the product as shown in Ima-
ge F.
2. Hold the chainsaw rmly and securely by the
handgrip.
3. Press the lock button (5) and press the ON/OFF
button (Image G) to start the machine.
Note: Always wear gloves when handling the Roto-
razer® Mini Chainsaw.
4. For safety proposals, the product will only work
when the lock button (5) is pressed together with
the ON/OFF button.
5. To switch off the Rotorazer® Mini Chainsaw, re-
lease the ON/OFF switch.
• Never reach over the riving knife or under the
base plate. There is a risk of injury!
• Do not cut if the saw chain is in contact with the
workpiece, is in the workpiece or may hit an object.
This can lead to serious injuries.
• Clamp loose workpieces before cutting them.
Remove foreign objects such as nails, screws, etc.
• When cutting a branch that is under tension be
alert for spring back. When the tension in the wood
bres is released, the spring-loaded limb may stri-
ke the operator and/or throw the chainsaw out of
control.
• Use extreme caution when cutting brush and
saplings. The slender material may catch the saw
chain and be whipped toward you or pull you off
balance.
• When the saw chain is running, rst place the
base plate on the surface of the workpiece and let
the saw cut on its own. Apply only light pressure to
the saw. The chain speed should not be
much slower.
Kickback
• The shape of the riving knife largely eliminates the
risk of kickback.
• The saw is optimally protected against kickback
by the riving knife with tip protection. Never remove
the riving knife. There is a risk of injury!
Chain lubricating
- You can use the Plastic Bottle included in the set
to apply oil on the product.
- Do not use engine oil, waste oil or other mineral
oils.
- If the saw makes a rattling noise, the chain must
be lubricated.
- The use of the chainsaw without lubricating the
chain with chain oil will damage the saw chain and
the guide bar.
How to remove the old chain and mount the new
chain
• Please remove the battery before extracting the
chain.
• Only handle the saw chain with gloves and remo-
ve the battery rst!
• Inspect the saw chain and the guide bar for dama-

• Let each new saw chain break-in rst!
• When attaching the saw chain, observe the run-
ning direction!
1. Unscrew the head screw counter-clockwise in
order to remove the sprocket cover. Turn the knob
on the guide cover to align the guide adjustment
screw post boss with the screw hole (Image A).
2. The adjusting screw boss on the guide plate co-
ver is aligned with the guide plate hole position to
install the guide plate cover (Image B).
3. When the knob is turned, the chain will be pulled
down and loosened continuously. When the chain
is loosened, it can rebound quickly.
4. Manually screw the screws into the bottom of the
machine without tightening (Image C).
5. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the hex
screws on the guide plate cover and to tighten the
socket head cap screws (Image D).
6. The new chain will be stretched in the early sta-
ge of use. Please check and adjust to the appro-

chain and guide plate.
Note: 1-3 middle guide teeth are exposed in the pull-
down chain (Image E).
7. Remove the guide bar from the machine and run
the saw chain around it. Please note the running
direction of the saw chain. The saw chain icon is
shown on the cover.
8. Run the saw chain over the sprocket and replace
the guide bar on the chain adjusting screw pin.
9. Use an oiler to oil the saw chain and the sproc-
ket. Slightly tighten the saw chain with the chain
adjusting screw . Use the included adjustment key
to tighten the screw. For tightening, turn the screw
clockwise.
10. Re-tighten the sprocket cover with the head
screw on the housing.
Adjusting saw chain tension
CAUTION: Do not tighten the saw chain too much.
Excessively high tension of saw chain may cause
breakage of saw chain, wear of the guide bar and
breakage of the sprocket.
CAUTION: A chain which is too loose can jump off
the guide bar. The saw chain may become loose
after use. From time to time check the saw chain
tension, certainly before each use.
a. Remove the battery.
b. Loosen the head screw a bit to loosen the sproc-
ket cover lightly.
c. Adjust the chain tension. Turn the chain head
screw clockwise to tighten, turn it counter-clockwise
to loosen.
Tighten the saw chain so that the gap between the
center of the lower side of the guide bar and the saw
chain becomes approximately 3 – 4 mm.
d. Tighten the head screw to secure the sprocket
cover.
Sharpen the chainsaw
• The saw teeth must be sharpened if the sawdust
becomes powdery, if additional force is required for
the incision, if a straight incision is no longer possible
or if the vibrations become stronger.
• Blunt saw chains should be re-sharpened.
• To sharpen the chain use a chain sharpener, make
sure you sharpen the chain at a 30° angle.
• Or have the chain re-sharpened professionally
(advised).
• Replace the saw chain if there is considerable da-
mage that cannot be repaired by ling.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Make sure the product is turned off and unplugged
from power.
Remove the rechargeable battery.
Thoroughly clean the notch of the guide bar. Repla-
ce the guide bar if the guide groove is damaged or
worn and the saw chain has too much lateral space.
For best performance, always keep the saw blade
and the chainsaw in good order.Remove the bat-
tery pack from the tool before carrying out any ad-
justment, servicing or maintenance.
• Clean the sprocket area with a brush or compres-
sed air.
• Use a cloth, a paintbrush or a brush to remove dust
and wood splinters. Always keep the ventilation slots
clean and free from obstructions.
• We recommend that you clean your electric power
tool immediately after each use.
• Clean the electric power tool regularly with a damp
cloth and somewhat soft soap. Do not use any
cleaning or solvent materials; these can attack the
device’s plastic components. Make sure that no wa-

2) Seguridad eléctrica

fuente de alimentación y/o el
paquete de baterías de la herra-

atascadas, que no haya piezas

de utilizarla. Muchos accidentes
son causados por herramientas
eléctricas mal mantenidas.
f)Mantenga las herramientas de
corte afiladas y limpias. Las he-
rramientas de corte bien man-
tenidas y con bordes de corte
afilados tienen menos probabi-
lidades de atascarse y son más
fáciles de controlar.
g) Utilice la herramienta eléctri-
ca, los accesorios y las brocas,
etc., de acuerdo con estas ins-
trucciones, teniendo en cuenta
las condiciones de trabajo y el
trabajo a realizar. El uso de la he-
rramienta eléctrica para opera-
ciones diferentes a las previstas
podría dar lugar a una situación
peligrosa.
h) Mantenga los mangos y las
superficies de agarre secos, lim-
pios y libres de aceite y grasa.

5) Uso y cuidado de las herra-
mientas a batería
a) Recargue sólo con el cargador
especificado por el fabricante. Un
cargador que es adecuado para
un tipo de batería puede crear un
riesgo de incendio cuando se uti-
liza con otro paquete de baterías.
b) Use herramientas eléctricas
solo con paquetes de baterías
designados específicamente. El
uso de cualquier otro paquete de
baterías puede crear un riesgo
de lesiones e incendio.
c) Cuando el paquete de baterías
no esté en uso, manténgalo ale-
jado de otros objetos metálicos,
como clips, monedas, llaves,
clavos, tornillos u otros objetos
metálicos pequeños, que pue-
dan hacer una conexión de un
terminal a otro. Un cortocircuito
entre los terminales de la batería
puede causar quemaduras o un
incendio.
d) En condiciones abusivas,
puede salir líquido de la batería;
evite el contacto. Si se produce
un contacto accidental, lávese
con agua. Si el líquido entra en
contacto con los ojos, busque
además ayuda médica. El líquido
expulsado de la batería puede
causar irritación o quemaduras.
6) Servicio
a) Encargue el mantenimiento
de su herramienta eléctrica a un
técnico cualificado que utilice
únicamente piezas de recambio
idénticas. Esto garantizará que
se mantenga la seguridad de la
herramienta eléctrica.

namiento. Antes de poner en mar-
cha la sierra de cadena, asegúrese
de que la cadena no esté en con-
tacto con nada. Un momento de

sierra de cadena puede hacer que
su ropa o su cuerpo se enreden
con la cadena de la sierra.
• Sujete siempre la motosierra
con la mano derecha en la empu-
ñadura trasera y con la izquierda
en la delantera. Sujetar la sierra de
cadena con una configuración de
manos invertida aumenta el ries-
go de lesiones personales y no
debe hacerse nunca.
• Sujete la herramienta eléctrica
únicamente por las superficies de
agarre aisladas, ya que la cadena
de sierra puede entrar en contac-
to con el cableado oculto o con
su propio cable. El contacto de
la cadena de sierra con un cable
“con corriente” puede conducir
electricidad a las partes metáli-
cas expuestas de la herramienta
eléctrica y podrían provocar una
descarga eléctrica al operario.
• Utilice gafas de seguridad y pro-
