GPSReceiverUser sTip
A.GPS signalsare affected byweatherand environmental conditions. It is
suggested to use the GPS receiverunderless shielding environmentsto
ensure GPS receiverhas betterreceiving performance.
B.WhenGPS receiverisinmoving condition, it will prolong the time to fixthe
position. It issuggestedto wait forthe satellite signalsto be locked at a
fixedpoint when firstpower-on the GPS receiverbefore using.
C. The following situationswill affect theGPS receiving performance:
i. Solarcontrol filmed windows.
ii. Metal shielded, such asumbrella, orin vehicle.
iii. Among high buildings.
iv.Underbridgesand tunnels.
v.Underhigh voltage cablesand nearbyradio wavesources, such as
mobile phone base stations.
vi.Bad and heavycloudyweather.
D. If the satellite signalscannot be locked orhave encountered receiving
problem(within the urban area),the following stepsaresuggested:
i. Plug the external activeantenna into the GPS receiverand setthe
antenna outdoororon the roof of the vehicle forbetterreceiving..
ii. Move to anotheropenspace orreposition theGPS receivertowardsthe
direction with fewerblockages.
iii. Move the GPS receiverawayfromsourcesof interference
iv.Wait until the weathercondition hasimproved.
E.With abackup battery,the GPS receivercan fixaposition immediately at next
power-on if the built-in backup batteryisfullycharged.
