1Install Fans (60mm or 70mm)

Note: The S402 can support up to 70mm x 25mm
fans in the three locations show above.
Depending on components, customers may decide
to orient the fans as intake or exhaust.

2a Install 2.5” Drives Underneath PSU Mount

Note: 2.5” drives in these locations are limited to
9mm in height. Also, there are three more 2.5”
drive mounting locations that are easier to access
on step 5b.

2c Connect C13 Power cable
Note: The slim PSU extension that is included with
the S402 can be removed while the PSU is
installed but it is recommended to install it before
the PSU has been mounted to the chassis.

Note: Please only install 4 screws for the PSU
mount. Most likely, the PSU extension cable will
be interfering with one of the three standoffs
near the vented top (farthest three standoffs in the
picture above).

4Install Mainboard

for the mainboard.

Note: In order to determine the correct orientation
of the disk mount panel, use the 3.5” drive
mounting holes as a reference. The images above
are representative of how the panel should look
once it is installed and viewed from the open
chassis.
Also note that the PEM nuts need to be facing
away from the chassis mount surface.

5b Install 2.5” Drives

disk panel before installing disks. (See step 5a)

5d Install Disk Mount Into S402 Chassis

Reminder that the PEM nuts need to be facing
away from the mounting surface.

6a Mount GPU bracket to GPU

Note: The PCIe device show here is a 2-slot
card. When using a 3-slot card, be certain to
use all three of the mounting holes provided.
Note #2: Take this time to ensure the PCIe riser
cable has been installed in the correct location
for your needs.

6b Position GPU Inside S402 Chassis
Note: When installing PCIe devices, it may be
necessary to angle the interface into the S402
chassis before aligning the PCIe interface to the
riser cable. The picture above shows an example
of how this can be done.

6c Install GPU Into PCIe Riser
Once the PCIe device is installed, align the card
to the PCIe riser cable and insert it. Take note
that the PCIe riser cable will have a locking
mechanism to help retain the PCIe device.

6d Fasten GPU Into S402 Chassis

Note: Install these two screws loosely and adjust
the location of the PCIe device as needed. If
necessary, the PCIe “L” adapter can be loosened
for adjustments as well.

9a Align Stands
Note: The stands have a key to help locate. Once
located, the stands will slide to the outer edges
of the chassis so the thumbscrews can be
fastened to hold the stands in place.
