1Install Fans (60mm or 70mm)

Note: The S402 can support up to 70mm x 25mm
fans in the three locations show above.
Depending on components, customers may decide
to orient the fans as intake or exhaust.

2a Install 2.5” Drives Underneath PSU Mount

Note: 2.5” drives in these locations are limited to
9mm in height. Also, there are three more 2.5”
drive mounting locations that are easier to access
on step 5b.

2c Connect C13 Power cable
Note: The slim PSU extension that is included with
the S402 can be removed while the PSU is
installed but it is recommended to install it before
the PSU has been mounted to the chassis.

3Install PSU Mount Into S402

Note: Please only install 4 screws for the PSU
mount. Most likely, the PSU extension cable will
be interfering with one of the three standoffs
near the vented top (farthest three standoffs in the
picture above).

4Install Mainboard

Note: Do not forget to install the rear IO shield
for the mainboard.

Note: In order to determine the correct orientation
of the disk mount panel, use the 3.5” drive
mounting holes as a reference. The images above
are representative of how the panel should look
once it is installed and viewed from the open
chassis.
Also note that the PEM nuts need to be facing
away from the chassis mount surface.

5b Install 2.5” Drives
