2 SP-4006 SATEL
remove the two locking screws nd lift it by n ngle of pprox. 60°. Be p rticul rly c reful
when dismounting nd remounting the inner sheet met l cover.
Note: Make sure there is a suitable distance (minimum 2.5 cm) between the upper edge of
the siren housing and the ceiling or another element which restricts the mounting
position from the above. Otherwise, replacement of the cover may be impossible.
After inst ll tion of the outdoor siren mounting holes s well s the c ble inlet should be
se led with silicone compound.
2. Description of siren operation
The SP-4006 outdoor siren c n interf ce with ny l rm sign l source. The sign ling is
triggered by volt ge ch nge t the control input. The STA input controls coustic sign ling,
while the STO input - optic l sign ling. How the sign ling is to be triggered is set by me ns of
the PLA nd J7 jumpers nd the PLO nd J6 jumpers.
The siren h s been designed so th t t the moment of power-up it is in ctive, irrespective on
how the STA, STO inputs re set. Sign ling c n only be triggered fter 20 seconds
in the st ble in ctive st te (const nt presence of supply volt ge from the control p nel nd
input sign ls ccording to the jumper setting). On e ch power-up / power-off, the time is
counted from the beginning. This function m kes it possible to void n ccident l triggering
of the siren during inst ll tion of the system.
The test mode en bles the sign ling to be triggered without the necess ry 20-second w it.
For this purpose, remove the O+A jumper before power-up, turn the power supply on nd
repl ce the jumper within 5 seconds.
The TMP nd R termin ls re used to connect the device to the t mper circuit of the security
system, while the SENS nd TMP termin ls re provided for connecting the inner t mper
cont ct of the housing (see Fig. 2 nd 3).
The t mper circuit of the outdoor siren will be open on removing the outer housing or
det ching the siren from the w ll. For the t mper cont ct to function correctly during pull-off,
the t mper element (see Fig. 1) must be screwed down to the mounting surf ce.
The siren is suit ble for oper tion with built-in 6 V b ttery, but it c n lso work without it.
A T3,15 A fuse is included in the b ttery circuit.
Notes:
• he battery to be connected to the siren must be fully charged.
• he current consumed by the siren to charge the battery depends on the battery degree
of discharge.
• he battery charging system, as used in the siren, is intended for recharging a partially
discharged battery, not for charging a fully discharged one.
Extern l power supply of the siren is to be connected to the +12V nd GND termin ls.
Volt ge loss t these termin ls (with the siren b ttery connected) will gener te the t mper
l rm, dur tion of which depends on how the TM0, TM1 jumpers re set. The type of
sign ling is to be set by using the O+A jumper. Supply volt ge restor tion will stop
the t mper sign ling. H ving inst lled the siren, check this function for oper tion l c p bility
by disconnecting nd reconnecting the supply volt ge.
Note: he M0 and M1 jumpers are used for setting the maximum active time of acoustic
signaling. After expiry of this time, the siren will go silent, irrespective of the value
programmed in the control panel. he signaling can only be triggered again after the
signal controlling the S A input is disabled.
