THE COMBINED VOLUME & ON/OFF SWITCH is to the left
of the five push-buttons. This switches the receiver on when
turned clockwise and progressive rotation of the control in
creases the volume. Turning the control fully anti-clockwise
s w i t c h e s o f f t h e r e c e i v e r .
THE TONE CONTROL is concentric with the volume control
and on/off switch and provides selective tone correction for
reproductionof either speech or music. This control is conti
nuously variable, and when turned fully clockwise the amount
of bass reproduction is reduced; when turned fully anti-clock
wise the treble reproduction is reduced.
THE MANUAL TUNING CONTROL is to the right of the push
buttons and provides completely variable station selection.
THE TUNING SCALE is divided into two sections - Medium
Wave andLongWave and is calibrated in wavelengths (n)6lr6S)

TUNING CONTROL
THE FIVE PUSH-BUTTONS provide automatic tuning of three
pre-setMedium Wave stations and two pre-set Long Wave Sta
tion, in the order indicated on the accompanying illustration.
Wave change switching from medium to Long Wave is automa
tically effected by pressing either of the two extreme right hand
buttons and any of the remaining buttons maybe pressed to
switch from Long to Medium Wave. On models 902T and922T
the push-buttons provide automatic tuning of five pre-set sta
t i o n s o n t h e B r o a d c a s t B a n d .
1. Allow ten minutes for the receiver to warm-up thoroughly.
2. Select the waveband required by pressing the appropriate
push-button.
3. Tune in the desired station by means of the manual tuning
control.
4. With the station accurately tuned-in, pull the push-button
outward to full extent C/4" movement) to release the locking
mechanism, then push the button fully home, thus locking
the mechanism in the required position.
5. The push-button is now set to the desired station and is
independent of the manual tuning. Proceed in the same
manner with the remaining buttons.

Here are suggested push-button settings for different parts of
the country. This guide has been prepared to suit general re
ception conditions in each area, but it may be necessary to
alter the settings to that of another transmitter when travel
ling outside your own local area.Your Accredited Dealer should
be consulted for full information on local reception conditions.
