Precautions
• Before connecting, turn off the amplifier to
avoid damaging the speaker system.
• This speaker system is driven best by an
amplifier or receiver rated as per the
wattage indicated in the specification
section.
A low-powered amplifier could result in
signal clipping which could result in tweeter
burnout. Therefore, it is recommended to
use an amplifier or receiver with sufficient
power rating.

• Keep recorded tapes, watches, and personal
credit cards using magnetic coding away
from the speaker system.
• Be sure to install the grille net in the correct
direction.
• Periodically wipe the cabinet with the
supplied cleaning cloth. Do not use any type
of scouring powder, abrasive pad or solvent.
Do not output the following signals for a long
period of time.
• FM inter-station noise
• Severe hum noise
• High-frequency signals in the fast-forward
and rewind modes of a tape recorder
• High-frequency signals of electronic
instruments
In case color irregularity is observed on a
nearby TV screen
With the magnetically shielded type of the
speaker system, the speakers can be installed
near a TV set. However, color irregularity may
still be observed on the TV screen depending
on the type of your TV set.
If color irregularity is observed...
Turn off the TV set once, then turn it on after
15 to 30 minutes.
If color irregularity is observed again...
Place the speakers further apart from the TV
set.
If it still persists...
Check that there is no other source of
magnetism* near the TV set. Any other source
of magnetism can cause color irregularity due
to an interaction with the speaker.
* Examples of sources of magnetism: Rack,
magnets attached to secure the doors of the
TV stand, health tools, magnets used with a
toy, etc.
If you have any questions or problems
concerning your speakers that are not covered
in this manual, please consult your QUALIA
Concierge.

For a better listening experience
Speaker placement is one of the most
important factors in obtaining high quality
sound. Observe the following when placing
your speakers to obtain full advantage of the
speaker characteristics.
• Set up your speaker system on a hard, flat
floor.
• Place the speaker system near a hard wall
with its back about 10 cm (4 inches) away
from the wall. The proportion of bass
increases as you move a speaker close to
intersecting room surfaces (two walls, etc.).
• Place the right and left speakers in similar
acoustic environments. This will help create
a natural stereo image.
• Place the speaker system so that the
tweeters are at the same height as your ears
when you are seated.
Note
Avoid driving the speaker system continuously with a
wattage exceeding the maximum input power of each
speaker.
Generally we recommend that the speaker/
listener geometry be an isosceles triangle,
with the listener seated at the apex.
If you cannot place the speakers wide enough,
turn the speakers slightly outward. Likewise, if
the speakers must be placed more than 2
meters apart, turn them slightly inward for
more effective stereo sound.
Do not place the speakers in the following
locations:
• In places subject to high temperature or
direct sunlight.
• In places subject to excessive dust and dirt.
• In places subject to high humidity.
• Near source components (CD, record
players, etc.).
