Sliding Rails Mounting Instructions
XGS 1U Series
The XGS 1U series slide rails are designed and built for 1U and 2U chassis and not recommended for use
with a 3U chassis. The rails fit into EIA racks with a 5/8“ pitch and square holes.
Step 1: Remove the appliance rail
Pull the slide open. Then pull the lock forward (1)
and pull out the inner appliance rail.
Lift the trigger (2) and push the outer piece back
into the rack rail (3)
Step 2: Attach the appliance rail to the chassis
Mount the appliance rails on each side of the
appliance by aligning the holes over the studs and
pushing them backwards until you hear a click.
For safety reasons, you can optionally fix one of the
supplied screws at the end of each rail.
Step 3: Attach the rack rails to the rack
Disengage the safety lock before you attach the rack
rails to the rack. Insert each rack rail into the holes on
the rack from the inner side of the front (1) and rear
(2) mounting posts. Push the safety lock forward to
secure the rack rails until you hear a click.
Use a round-head screw to secure the rack rail to the
front of the rack.
Step 4: Mount the appliance into the rack
Pull the rack rails open until you hear a click. It is
important to check if the ball bearing retainer is locked
forward. Otherwise it could cause very serious damage
to the chassis while mounting.
Move the appliance half way into the rack rails (4a).
While you are pushing chassis back to the cabinet,
you need to release the slide from locking position by
pulling the release tab (4b).

Sliding Rails Montageanleitung
XGS 1U Serie
Die Sliding Rails sind nur für Chassis mit 1HE oder 2HE geeignet und nicht für die Verwendung mit
anderen Größen empfohlen. Die Rails lassen sich in 19-Zoll-EIA-Racks mit quadratischen oder runden
Befestigungslöchern montieren.
Schritt 1: Entnehmen des Appliance Rails
Ziehen Sie das Appliance Rail (innerer Teil des Rails)
bis zur Sperre heraus. Ziehen Sie die Verriegelung
nach vorn (1) und ziehen Sie das Appliance Rail
komplett heraus.
Ziehen Sie den Hebel wie gezeigt nach oben (2)
und schieben den äußeren Teil zurück in das Rack
Rail (3)
Schritt 2: Befestigen der Appliance Rails
Befestigen Sie die Appliance Rails an jeder Seite des
Gehäuses indem Sie die Löcher der Rails über die
Zapfen stülpen und die Rails nach hinten schieben
bis Sie einrasten.
Zur Sicherheit können Sie die Rails optional mit
einer Schraube am Ende fixieren.
Schritt 3: Befestigen der Rack Rails im Rack
Öffnen Sie die Verriegelungsklappen, bevor Sie die
Rack Rails (äußerer Teil der Rails) montieren. Setzen
Sie die Rack Rails von der Innenseite des Racks in den
vorderen (1) und hinteren (2) Holm ein. Schließen Sie
die Verriegelungsklappen.
Verwenden Sie Rundkopfschrauben um die Rack Rails
an der Vorderseite des Racks zu fixieren.
Schritt 4: Einsetzen der Appliance ins Rack
Ziehen Sie die Rack Rails komplett heraus, bis Sie ein
„Click“ hören (4a). Prüfen Sie, ob die Rails eingerastet
sind, ansonsten können bei der Montage schwere
Beschädigungen am Gehäuse entstehen.
Schieben Sie das Gehäuse bis zur Hälfte in die Rack
Rails hinein. Ziehen Sie die Verriegelung nach vorne
(4b) und schieben das Gehäuse komplett in das Rack
hinein.
