Introduction
In this document you will find all the information to properly configure and make use of the multi-
user operation with an AVATUS console.

Setup
Go to: SYSTEM > PREFS > USER 1/2 > SURFACE/STRIPS
Tap on the last section you want to assign to USER 1, the remaining sections will be assigned to USER
2. To go back to Single user mode, tap on the last section (85-96). The current active mode will be
displayed on top.
Note: The settings for single user / two users apply systemwide to all projects but are not saved
within a project.

Separated Controls
Control Room
CR 1 is dedicated to USER 1, CR 2 to USER 2.
When opening the CR the dedicated CR page will open at default.
Still both control rooms can be accessed from both users.
Solo & PFL
There are two independent SOLO busses as well as two PFL busses, which are each linked to
one of the control rooms. When you activate Solo in user area 1 the signal is put on solo bus
1. By activating AUTO SOLO / AUTO PFL, SOLO and PFL bus 1 are routed to CR1, SOLO and
PFL bus 2 to CR2.
Spill
Each user can use the spill function as usual within the boundaries of the user area.
Temp-Link
In the multi user mode there are two independentTemp Link groups.
Layers
Audio Modules
When in Block Mode (activated by long press on one of the audio modules button on the
right side), only strips within the user area will change the selected audio module.
Lists
When scrolling through lists (auxes, vca groups, etc.) in block or user mode, they are
synchronized within the user area.
AUX/N-1 to Fader
The AUX/N-1 to Fader mode can be activated for each user separately.

Shared Controls
Channels
All channels can still be accessed from both users.
Cue Automation
There is one automation engine. Since both userscan access allaudiochannels and the
engine works parameter based there is no advantage in having separate automations.
To influence only certainchannels with cues, please use the SCOPE function.
COPY
Currently there is only one copy mask, therefore caution is advised.The co-user could add a
function group or channel at the very last moment.
Solo Inplace
Based on the nature of this function Solo Inplace will be activated for all audio channels of the
console, no matter where they are displayed.
Brightness
Currently, the brightness for the console is set globally.
In the future, this setting will be related to the frame.
