1. EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS
AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.1. Explanation of symbols
CAUTION! - Important recommendation or
warning concerning safety conditions during
installation and operation of boiler.
DANGER! - fault or improper use may cause
injury or be hazardous to life of humans or
animals.
FIRE HAZARD!- fault or improper installation
and operation may cause fire.
INFORMATION- Important information on
the proper operation of the product.
1.2. Requirements to stove installation room.
This manual contains important information for the
safe and correct installation, start-up and trouble-
free operation and maintenance of the boiler.
The Pellet Stove can be used for heating rooms only
in the manner described in this manual.
The application and any other was the area of
operation is not recommended by the manufacturer
and is not responsible for the occurrence of defects
or failures.
Note the boiler type data on the factory rating label
and the technical data provided in chapter 12 in
order to ensure proper operation of the product.
1.2.1. Instructions for the installer.
During installation and operation, the country-
specific requirements and regulations must be
observed:
• Local construction regulations on installation,
air supply and exhaust gas extraction as well as
chimney connection.
• Regulations and norms concerning the fitting of
the heating installation with safety devices.
• Installaon of carbon monoxide detector is
recommended.
• Obligatory maintenance – the pellet stove must
be cleaned immediately after each consumption
of certified pellets between 800 kg to 1000 kg or if
usage is less at least once a year. This maintenance
must be performed by an authorized by BURNIT
service center. As long as the pellet stove is in its
warranty period all the maintenance and service
must be performed by the authorized service who
has performed the initial installation.

WARNING! Installation and setup of the
stove should be done by an authorized
specialist / service shop and must follow
the safety instructions and rules of
operation.

DANGER of intoxication, suffocation.
Inadequate inflow of fresh air to the stove
room may result in dangerous leak of
exhaust gases during stove operation.
- Make sure the air inlets and exhaust gas
outlets are not clogged or closed.
- If faults are not remedied immediately,
the pellet stove must not be operated.
- The user must be provided with written
instructions on the fault and the hazard it
entails.
It is mandatory to assure a backup power
generator of corresponding rated power!
(see table 1)

When using backup electrical supply(UPS), it
must be with stable frequency, clear phase
line and neutral line at the output.
The maximum power of the UPS device
must be at least 20% more than the max.

Customer must undergo stove operation/
maintenance training by authorized
installer/service shop.

stop the pellet burner from operation.

CAUTION! Risk of injury/damage to
equipment due to incorrect operation.
- Pellet stoves may be operated only
by persons who are familiar with the
instructions of use.
- As a user you are allowed only to put the
stove in operation or out of operation,
set up the operation mode and clean the
stove.
- Access of unattended children to
premises with a working stove inside is
prohibited.
Safety rules for user operation:
- The pellet stove is designed to work even in
extreme weather. Still in case of strong wind or
very chill weather the safety system of the product
may automatically turn of the pellet stove. In
that case the end user must notify authorized
service /installer BURNiT. It is not recommended
to deactivate or restart the safety functions of the
product at your own.
- Operate the stove on recommended fuel only, and
to that end you must regularly inspect the boiler
room.
- It is forbidden to install the pellet stove in wet or
moist spaces such as bathroom, laundry etc. It is
forbidden to touch the pellet stove with wet hands
or feet.
- The door of the pellet stove must be closed when
the product is in working mode.
- Do not use flammable liquids for ignition or
increase of burner output.
- Clean the stove surface using non-flammable
agents only.
- Do not place flammable objects onto the burner
housing and heating stove cabinet or in their
proximity.
- Do not store flammable materials in the stove
room.
- - It is mandatory to strictly observe instructions for
connecting the burner to power network as well as
to all peripherals.
- Structural changes of the stove by user can cause
damage to equipment or injury.
- Do not allow contact transmission of electrical wire
or touch any part of the stove, where the surface
temperature can exceed 70 °C.
- This manual should be kept throughout
- Stove installation room must be equipped with fire
extinguisher in case of fire in the exhaust gases
tube.
CAUTION! Hot surface!
Burn hazard from touching a system in
operation. Stove casing represents a
dangerous hot surface while working.
1.2.3. Minimum clearances for installation and
flammability of construction materials
The applicable minimum clearances in your country
may differ from the ones specified below. Please,
consult your installer. The minimum distance from
the stove, or exhaust gas pipe to objects or walls
must be at least 200 mm.

If the floor is made of combustible material (e.g.
wood flooring) the stove must be separated from it
by non-combustible material. Surrounding areas of
the stove must be made of stone, cement or other
refractory materials.
For general safety considerations, we recommend
that the boiler be placed on a foundation made of
class A material, see table 2.
2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Pellet stove BURNIT CALOR-NOVATION - 13 kW, 18
kW with water jacket is designed to be connected
to a heating installation and is suitable for use in
houses, offices, small restaurants etc. The product
contributes for the comfort and the nice atmosphere
in the room.
The specially designed water jacket completely
covers the firebox in order to increase its
effectiveness and performance efficiency up to 91%
The combustion chamber is protected with large
surface water jacket which contributes for its better
efficiency. The burner is iron-castedby special
technology from fire endurable alloy. The door of
the pellet stove is sealed hermetically when closed.
The ceramic glass of the door is heat resistant – up
to 700°C – and thanks to it you could safely watch
the fire (the glass prevents the contact with smoke
or dangerous sparks of fire).

3. FUELS

When purchasing pellets, ask for conformity
declaraon and cercate issued by an
accredited laboratory and make sure the
fuel meets the requirements indicated in
the manual. If you purchase large amount
of pellets (bulk supply for the enre heang
season for example), ask your supplier
to provide accurate and true informaon
about the storage condions.
We recommend to use pellets with size of 6 - 8 mm.
Density 600 - 750 kg/m3 heating value 4.7-5.5 kWh/
kg. Ash content – less than 1% and moisture content
up to 8%., EN ISO 17225-2:2014.
The optimal density of the pellets which guarantees
their quality is 605-700 kg per cubic meter.
Pellet moisture content must not exceed 10%. Make
sure you store your fuel in a dry and well-ventilated
place.
The optimal pellet ash content is ≤ 1%. This also
provides for less frequent cleaning intervals for the
burner.
4. TRANSPOTATION OF THE STOVE
We recommend to transport the heating boiler to
the installation site in its packaging placed on the
pallet. During transport and installation, depending
on the weight, suitable safety devices should be
used in accordance with Directive 2006/42/EC.
When transporting items weighing more than 30 kg,
the use of pallet jack, fork truck or other hoisting
devices is a must.
Product must be in original packaging following
the instructions on the label - to be protected from
adverse weather conditions (snow, rain and dust)
from the shocks, and other activities likely to cause
damage. In case of malfunction of the fan or the
motor drive (noise, friction) or failure of high-tech
elements such as broken controller-screen, contact
your nearest authorized service center for repairs
and maintenance.
The pellet stove is delivered on a pallet wrapped
with stretch wrap and protected from damage by
four-sided styrofoam, packed in a box.

5. DELIVERY OF THE STOVE
• Inspect the integrity of the packaging upon
delivery.
•Unbox carefully. Check the pellet stove for visible
defects or damages. Check the glass door.
• Open the pellet hopper at the top of the stove
and check that you have received all components.
Supply set of stove includes:
1) Pellet stove with burner;
2) Electronic control + mounting screws;
3) Mains power cord;
4) Safety valve 2 bar.;
5) Technical passport. Installation and operation
manual.
6) Service booklet and Warranty card
7) Hollaender fitting and pump seal.
In the event of a defect in a component, contact the
nearest authorized service center for repairs and
maintenance.
6. SETUP OF THE HEATING PELLET STOVE

The assembly, installation and set-
up of the boiler must be performed
by a technician authorized for such
operations. Installer must indicate to
the user of the installation the minimum
clearances from flammable materials
and liquids.
Requirements:
- The minimum air volume of stove installation
premises should not be below 40 m3;
- Ensure there is a fresh air inlet on the premises;
- The area around and under the stove, must
be made of stone, cement or other refractory
material;
- Ensure the proper functioning of the flue (condition
of the chimney);
- Installation of pellet stoves is not permitted
in bedrooms, bathrooms, as well as in areas
with another heating source operating without
sufficient fresh air inflow (a fireplace, other type
of stove, etc.);
- Installation of room air outflow ducting system is
not permitted without additional fresh air inflow
measures;
- Pellet stove installation premises must be kept free
of explosive material;
- No items of combustible material or liquids should
be placed on top/close to the pellet stove;
- Dispose of the packaging material in environment-
friendly manner;
- The pellet stove must be so positioned that it
provides the easiest possible access for cleaning
and servicing,

After unpacking the fireplace and
placing it on the place where it will
be installed - remove the 4 bolts
(M8x60) attached to the pallet,
which are located under the pallet.

7. INSTALLATION OF THE HEATING STOVE
The installation must be performed by
an authorized installer / service center
BURNIT!

Consider the volume of the installation
and the useful volume of the expansion
vessel embedded in the product. We
recommend that the volume of the
expansion vessel be at least 10% of the
installation volume. If necessary, add an
additional expansion vessel.
7.1.Connecting the stove to a chimney
Stove-to-chimney connection must always comply
with the existing standards and rules. The chimney
must provide sufficient draught for evacuation of the
smoke under any conditions.
The proper functioning of the stove requires
adequate sizing of the chimney itself since the
draught it produces affects combustion, boiler’s
output and life span.
The draught created by the chimney is in functional
relation to its cross-section, height and the
roughness of its interior walls. No other appliance
may be connected to the chimney serving the
stove. Chimney diameter must not be smaller
than the flue outlet of the stove. Flue outlet must
be connected to the chimney opening. In terms
of mechanical properties, the flue outlet must be
sturdy and properly sealed (to avoid gas leak) and
allow for easy access for cleaning on the inside. The
inner section of the flue outlet must not be greater
than the effective section of the chimney and must
not narrow. Avoid using elbow joints.
The chimney cleaning opening has to be in its
lowest part. The chimney’s wall has to be three plied
where the medium layer is from mineral wool. The
thickness of the insulation is not less than 30 mm
when the chimney is setting up inside the house
and the thickness is 50 mm, when the setting up is
outside.
The internal flue diameter depends on its actual
height and the stove rated power (see Table 4).
Please entrust choosing a chimney and its
installaon by a qualied professional. The
required distance between the boiler and the
chimney is 300-600 mm.
Do not connect the exhaust gas system to
a chimney in which already is connected
another stove, boiler or ventilation
system!

Data in the tables are for indicative
purposes.
Draught depends on the diameter, height,
uneven sections along the chimney
surface and differences in temperature of
combustion products and outside air. We
recommend that you use chimney fitted
with flue terminal. Heating specialist must
calculate the precise sizing of the chimney.

We recommend that the stove be installed as close
as possible to the system’s exhaust gas extraction
system (the flue).
The maximum permitted length of duct pipe
between the stove and the flue is 3 m, whereas no
horizontal section longer than 0.5 m is allowed.
7.2. Type of tubes for exhaust gas system (chimney)
The tubes must be solid, smooth inside, mad of steel
and must be accompanied by silicone gaskets.
The diameter of tubes long up to 3 m. must be 80
mm. The diameter of tubes long more than 3 m.
must be minimum 100 mm. as it is necessary to
obtain the required draught of the chimney.
7.3. Connecting of outer tube for fresh air flow
For proper functioning and distribution of the
temperature the pellet stove must receive enough
fresh air flow and to be well positioned (a special
opening for fresh air could be done for example).
The flue opening area should be at least 100 cm2.
If the premises has an air outflow/suction system
installed, a relevant fresh air inflow must be
provided for.
This may be carried out through providing continuous
ventilation from another premises with no fireplace
or other air-intaking system in operation.
Such premises exclude bedrooms, bathrooms, or
premises with increased fire hazard, such as garages,
basements, or flammable material storage rooms.
If such room has already another heating appliance
installed (e.g. a fireplace, a heater etc.) or another
source of hazardous gases, then the new stove must
be provided with an additional source of fresh air
from outdoors.
The same provision goes for any subsequently
added heating devices.
Example: Connection of tube for fresh air flow
directly from the outside
For proper functioning of the pellet stove it is
recommended to make a direct connection from
outside the room with steel pipe 40 мм. with silicon
gasket. The part of the tube that goes outside the
room must be situated downwards 90° - in this way a
protection against wind, water, etc. is achieved.
Upon such direct connection the following distances
should be observed:
- 1.5 m from the floor
- 1.5 m from horizontal ducting section
- 0.3 m from doors and windows, whereas pipes
must run above them
- 2.0 m from the exhaust gas system.
7.4. Connecting the pellet stove to the mains power
supply
Such connection must be performed by a
technician / service shop authorized for
such operations.
Improper cable connecons may damage
the regulator!
Cauon! ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD!
- Before opening the unit: switch o the
voltage and secure the unit against
accidental restart.
- Observe installaon instrucons.
The device may be damaged if struck by
a lightning. Make sure it is unplugged
during the storms.
In order to be put into operation, the pellet stove
must be connected to a 230V / 50Hz mains power
supply. At the back of the fireplace is the power
cord. Check that the cable is working properly. If the
cable malfunctions, contact an authorized service
center for replacement.
7.5. Connecting the pellet stove to the heating
installation.
7.5.1. The stove is designed to work with
heating system under pressure(with included 6L
expanding vessel).If the required pressure is not met
it is not guaranteed the proper work of the stove and
normal pellet consumption.
7.5.2. The recommended working pressure for
the heating system is 1.2 bar. Before starting the
stove check the pressure of the expanding vessel
with the help of pressure gauge. The pressure of the
expanding vessel must be 1 bar.
It is obligatory to adjust the volume of the expansion
vessel to the total volume of the installation, the
volume of the expansion vessel must be at least 10%
of the volume of the installation. If necessary, attach
an additional expansion vessel in the installation.
7.5.3. Recommended three-way mixing valve. It
is good to use in any heating equipment. Its task
is to protect the product from temperature shock
during cold installation, as well as the appearance
of condensation and accumulation of tars. As for
products working with fuel - wood, briquettes, the
three-way valve must open at a minimum of 55
degrees, and for pellet equipment - at 45 degrees.
Without the use of the valve, condensation and tars
may form on the internal combustion chamber.

7.5.4. Required components when connecng

The connection links for connecting the
stove are 1“. The connection of the stove
to the distribution fittings must be with
a pipe with an inner diameter of not less
than 25 mm. It is not allowed to use a pipe
with maximum operating temperature,
temperature below 950С and working
pressure 6 bar.

This type of installaon requires
extension pipe for connecon with
exisng chimney. Follow the incline
instrucon that is on the picture,
to reduce the ashes in horizontal
extension pipe.
At the boom of the stovepipe is
placed T-type lid for condensaon
and ashes check.
Same T-type lid is mount on the top
end of the pipe, and another
one on the connecon with inside
chimney. Connecon of the two
stovepipes (inside stovepipe and
stovepipe in the chimney),
shouldn’t be on 90°, because
the ashes inside can struggle

9. OPERATION OF PELLET STOVE
Failure to observe the installation and
operating requirements described in the
manual and the service booklet voids the
warranty.
9.1. Operation of pellet stove CALOR-NOVATION.
Ignition.
Once you have made sure that the stove was
properly installed, can perform the initial start-up
and set all parameters.
Setup can be done using the screen or via PC using
our dedicated software or data input systems.
Burning.
The burning process takes place in the combustion
chamber of the stove, as the fuel portions are dosed
(measured) at regular intervals by the integrated
auger. This achieves optimum combustion. The
stove performance is controlled and operated by a
temperature sensor that measures the temperature
of the water jacket (mantle) and a temperature
sensor that measures the temperature of the
exhaust gases. Ignition and stop are controlled by
the exhaust gas sensor, which gives information to
the control unit. The power is determined by the
adjusted maximum temperature in the stove, as
shortly before reaching it, it starts modulating.
9.2. Important recommendations for long-lasting
and correct operation of the stove
- For assembly and installation of the stove follow
the requirements in this manual.
- Use only recommended in this manual fuel.
- User`s training for operation and maintenance of
stove is performed by an authorized installer or
service shop.
9.3. Requirements for the cleaning and maintenance
of stove.
IMPORTANT! Do not use acid-containing
detergents or ammable liquids for
cleaning.
Cauon! Hot surfaces.
Before cleaning the boiler, make sure the
re in it has died out and the boiler has
cooled down.
Regularly clean the pellet stove and the flue gas
system. This will ensure efficient operation of the
stove.
9.3.1. Inspection and cleaning of fresh air system
It`s mandatory to inspect the fresh air system
at the beginning of each heating season. Any
malfunctioning must be repaired.
9.3.2. Inspection and cleaning of exhaust gas
system. It`s mandatory to inspect the exhaust gas
system at the beginning of each heating season. If
the electric cable is damaged should be replaced
with a new one.
Tar is liquid formed during poor combustion and
low temperature in exhaust gas tube. If exhaust gas
tube is layered with tar, insulate well the outside
of exhaust tube. Tar deposition may cause fire.
It`s mandatory at least once per heating season
inspection and cleaning of exhaust gas system.
9.3.3. Cleaning and maintenance of the pellet stove.
Cleaning and maintenance of the pellet stove must
be performed regularly.
- Clean the stove outer surface, glass, rope on the
door, ash container periodically.
- Clean the pellet burner daily.
- Clean the pellet hopper once per month.

- It‘s mandatory to clean stove totally for burned
pellet amount of 800 kg to 1000 kg or once per year.
When making routine check the authorized service
must do as following:
• Cleaning the fan;
• Cleaning all the inaccessible places burner;
• Complete check of the ignition system and the
pellet loading system;
• Complete check of the condition of the insulations
ropes on the door and to change it if needed.
• Dismounting and cleaning the T-connection of the
exhaust gases system
• Complete check of all the electrical parameters;
• Issuing an inspection report for the actions
performed;
9.3.4. Cleaning the outer surface of pellet stove
Use soft cloth and neutral cleaning detergents.
9.3.5. Cleaning the door glass. Door glass is self-
cleaned during stove operation. However, the glass
may dim from inside after a few hours of operation.
The main reason is the quality of used pellets and
operation of exhaust gas system. To clean the door
glass OFF-and-cool the stove.Use soft cloth with
small quantity glass cleaning detergent.
After each cleaning check for distance of 2mm (two)
between glass and upper edge of the door
9.3.6. Check / change of the door insulation rope
Rope ensures door tightness and proper operation
of pellet stove.
Check the insulation rope periodically. If any damage
is found, please contact an authorized service to
replace the insulation rope with a new one.
The rope is not covered by warranty.
9.3.7. Removing the ash from the pellet stove. Check
the ash container at bottom part of pellet stove.
Turn off the stove, wait until gets cool and then clean
it. It`s mandatory to clean the ash container daily.
Dispose the ashes in a non-combustible container
with a lid.
9.3.8. Cleaning of the burner. Use a vacuum cleaner
to clean the burner from ash once per day. Cleaned
burner ensures proper stove operation. When
burner apertures are filled with impurities, open and
clean the burner.
Follow these steps for cleaning:
- Put out the stove
- Wait unl it cools down
- Disconnect the mains power supply
- Do not use ammable cleaners.

9.3.9. Cleaning of pellet hopper
It is recommended the periodic hopper cleaning (at
least once per month).
The cleaning must be done as following: first, empty
the pellet hopper; second, use a vacuum cleaner to
clean the hopper.
In case of lot of dust and sawdust into the pellet
hopper during stove operation, immediately stop
operation of stove and clean the pellet hopper and
burner properly. Refuel pellet hopper again. If pellet
hopper still has of lot of dust and sawdust, replace
the used pellets with quality ones.
When burner apertures are filled with impurities,
open and clean the burner.

9.3.10. Cleaning of silicone hose of pressure switch.

9.3.11. Cleaning of exhaust system (fume heat-
exchanger)
At the beginning of the heating season, the exhaust
system must be cleaned.
After dismantling the tube cover, accumulated tan
is removed from the tubes by means of a vacuum
cleaner and cleaning tools.

10.3.1. Ignition / Extinguishing.
Ignition and Extinguish are activated by
pressing and holding a button .
After ignition by touching a button we enter
the user menu 1.
10.3.2. Adjustment of combustion rates, thermostat
values and corrections of pellet loading.
After entering the user menu, the words Settings
and submenus appear:

We acvate the Power menu, which allows us to se-
lect manual or automac combuson mode of the
replace, as well as to select the degree of combus-
on power.
By accessing the Thermostats menu, we increase
and decrease the value of the thermostat parame-
ters.

ly feed pellets from the hopper to the empty auger..
