CONGRATULATIONS on the purchase of your new Hero Blast laser tag system. The Hero Blast is
the industry’s rst and most feature packed non-gun laser tag system. Players can strap the unit onto
their wrist, quickly set up a game, and begin playing laser tag anywhere. The non-gun design of the
Hero Blast allows it to be used anywhere. This means operators can now set up laser tag games in
public places, schools, and anywhere else where a laser tag “gun” cannot be used.

Performance Specications
IR / Laser / RF Range
The Hero Blast uses an advanced IR/Laser emitter to re. It is capable of shooting up to 500 feet
(150m) outdoors and 1000 feet (300m) indoors. However, extremely precise aiming is required
to score hits at these distances. The estimated practical ranges for gameplay by all ages are
approximately 70 feet (21m) outdoors and 120 feet (36m) indoors.
Communication between the units and iCE use radio frequency (RF), which has a maximum
effective range of 1 mile (1.6 km). Dense brush, metals, and concrete can weaken the RF signal.
Communication between units and synced accessories like the Headband or Vest uses short range
RF, which has a maximum distance of about 10 feet.
You can purchase an antenna booster and high gain antenna to boost your signal from the CCM
server to the units. See http://icombat.com/news/news-details/boosting-your-ccm-signal
User Limit
You can run up to 100 players at the same time in the same game while in Gun2Gun mode. When
using iCE, more players requires a better computer. Most computers can handle up to 50 players at
the same time.
Battery Life
On a full charge, expect up to 36 hours of stand-by time or 12 hours of game time.

Environmental Conditions
Hero Blast units are built to be used in a variety of environmental conditions. They can be used in
temperatures ranging from 32 - 110 degrees Fahrenheit (0 - 43 degrees Celsius). Colder weather
may begin to decrease performance. The electronics are all coated to provide moisture resistance.
Units that get wet will need to completely dry out before future use.
Updating Software
You can update the software on your units with the ICE software. Once that is installed, simply plug
in your unit with the supplied USB cord and the update process will automatically begin after a few
moments. Follow the steps to complete.
