Installation ermöglicht.
Bitte lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig, bevor Sie mit der Installation und dem
Anschluss beginnen.
Bedenken Sie, dass jeder Lautsprecher auch aus vielen Komponenten besteht, die sich
mit der Zeit erst einlaufen. Die in diesem Set befindlichen Lautsprecher machen da keine
Ausnahme. Nach einer Einspielzeit von ca. 50 Stunden wird die Basswiedergabe deutlich
besser und tiefreichender. Darüber hinaus werden die Lautsprecher auch höher belastbar
und damit auch lauter. Die Komponenten gewinnen an Qualität und Langlebigkeit durch
die oben beschriebenen Maßnahmen. Vermeiden Sie also allzu hohe Abhörpegel in der
Anfangszeit.
Jede Audioquelle neigt im letzten Bereich der Lautstärkeeinstellung zu Verzerrungen.
Das ist auch beim Serienradio Ihres Fahrzeuges so.
Da wir verzerrte Eingangssignale für den Verstärker vermeiden wollen hat die Firma
UPGRADE den Verstärker entsprechend ausgelegt.
Das bedeutet das Sie ein erheblich lauteres Signal als vorher haben. Der unverzerrte und
damit nutzbare Regelbereich an Ihrem Radio umfasst lediglich ca. 60% des maximalen
Regelbereiches.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass laute und stark verzerrte Signale Ihre Lautsprecher zerstören
können.

Sie benötigen nachfolgend aufgeführte Werkzeuge, die Sie sich bereitlegen sollten.
Für die Montage des Verstärkers im Armaturenbrettbereich: (je nach Paket)
• Schraubendreher für Torx – Größe TX 20
Schraubendreher oder kleine Ratsche mit Bitaufnahme und Bit TX 20
• Schraubendreher für Schlitzschrauben – Größe ca. 2mm

Lösen Sie die geclipste Lüftungsblende (Abb. 2).

Sie haben nun das Radio und die Lüftungseinheit
vor sich, die jeweils mit 4 Schrauben gehalten
werden . Lösen Sie alle Schrauben

Entfernen Sie nun die Lüftungssteuerung. Stecken sie die Kabel an der Lüftungs-
steuerung ab und entfernen Sie diese. Lösen Sie hierzu zuerst die roten Laschen an
den Steckern durch Herausziehen.
Achtung: Die Laschen können nur gelöst, jedoch nicht
vollständig entfernt werden.
5. Schritt
Ziehen Sie das Radio vorsichtig heraus, bis Sie von oben an
die Rückseite des Radios kommen. Stecken Sie den
Quadlockstecker und die Antennenstecker vom Radio ab und
entfernen Sie diese.
Beachten Sie die Verriegelung des Quadlocksteckers. Es
muss der Verriegelungsbügel erst in der Mitte entriegelt und
dann nach oben geschwenkt werden .
Die Antennenstecker (Weiß und Hellbraun) werden von unten
mit einem Schlitzschraubendreher entriegelt.

6. Schritt
Je nach Ausstattung Ihres Fahrzeugs müssen Sie nun den oder die Zubehörstecker
aus dem Hauptstecker ausklinken. (Abb.5-6)
Dieser muss später wieder in den neuen Zubehörstecker am Verstärkerkabelbaum
eingesteckt werden.
8. Schritt
Sie haben im Zubehör Ihres Verstärkers auch eine 3,5mm Klinkenbuchse. Über diese
Buchse können Sie beliebige Zusatzgeräte wie z. B. MP 3 Spieler anschließen. Diese
Buchse können Sie in einem freien Schalterplatz neben dem Schaltknüppel
(Automatikwahlhebel) platzieren. Hierfür können Sie die Mittelverkleidung recht schnell
und einfach demontieren.
7. Schritt
Sie haben nun eine völlig offene
Mittelkonsole vor sich. Verlegen Sie den
Quadlockstecker in den unteren Teil der
Mittelkonsole (Fach wo sich die
Lüftungssteuerung befand).
Der ausgeklinkte Stecker bleibt oben im
Fach hinter dem Radio.

Heben Sie zuerst die Abdeckung der Schaltkulisse oder des Automatikwahlhebels hoch.
Beginnen Sie an der Seite des Aschenbechers. Siehe Abb. 8
Die Abdeckung ist nur gerastet. Bach dem Abheben können Sie von der Unterseite die
Kunststoffabdeckung lösen. Bohren Sie ein entsprechendes Loch in eine der
Schalterabdeckungen und befestigen Sie danach die 3,5mm Klinkenkupplung.
9. Schritt
Einbau des Verstärkers. Lösen Sie die 2 Schrauben an der Querleiste im unteren Bereich
des Radiofachs. Hier wird der Verstärker eingehängt und wieder befestigt. Achten Sie
darauf, dass keinerlei Kabel gequetscht werden.
10.Schritt
Setzen Sie das Radio ein und stecken Sie den Kabelbaum zusammen. Alle Stecker sind
verwechslungssicher ausgeführt, so dass es nicht zu falschen Anschlüssen kommen
kann.
Vergessen Sie die Antennenkabel nicht.
Ziehen Sie alle Kabel möglichst in die untere Kammer hinter die Lüftungssteuerung.
11.Schritt
Bauen Sie den Mitteltunnel in umgekehrter Reihenfolge gemäß der Einbauanleitung
wieder zusammen.

1. Schritt
In der folgenden Abbildung sind zu lösenden Schrauben mit Pfeilen markiert. Die Kreise
markieren die Klipse mit denen die Türverkleidung gehalten wird.
Abb. 1 zeigt Fahrertür Abb. 2 zeigt Beifahrertür
Fahrerseite:
Hebeln Sie vorsichtig die Griffschale aus
dem Griff in der Türverkleidung. Ziehen Sie
die Griffschale nach oben heraus. Trennen
Sie die Steckverbindungen.
Achtung!
Lösen Sie vorher den Seilzug der Türinnenbetätigung. Hierfür die Lasche anheben und
den Zug nach hinten aus der Führung ziehen. Anschließend den Haken vorne am
Kunstoffhebel aushängen.
Lösen Sie die Stecker für Fensterheber und ggf. Lautsprecher falls vorhanden.
Eventuell verbliebene Clipse aus der Tür heraushebeln und wieder in die Türverkleidung
einsetzen.
5.Schritt
Fahrer- und Beifahrerseite
Ziehen Sie die Verkleidungen der Spiegel ab und entfernen Sie anschließend den
Schaumstoff auf der Rückseite.
Beifahrerseite:
Hebeln Sie vorsichtig die Griffschale aus
dem Griff in der Tü
rverkleidung. Ziehen Sie die Griffschale auf
sich zu. Achten Sie darauf, die Schale nicht
zu verkanten.

Fahrer- und Beifahrerseite
Sie sehen jetzt 3(2) Schrauben Torx 30. Lösen Sie diese.

Lösen Sie nun die 2 Schrauben Torx 20 an der unteren Seite der Türverkleidung.

Die Türverkleidungen sind an Fahrer- und
Beifahrerseite an den markierten Punkten
geclipst. Hebeln Sie die Clipse von unten
beginnend vorsichtig ab. Dann die
Türverkleidung vorsichtig nach oben aus
dem Fensterschacht heben.

6. Schritt
Einbau der Hochtonlautsprecher
Entfernen sie den Hochtöner vorsichtig. Dazu hebeln
Sie die 3 Befestigungspunkte mit einem Schlitz-
schraubendreher auf (Abb.9)
Schneiden Sie 3 Teile aus dem beigelegten Klebering
und kleben Sie diese wie in Abb.10 gezeigt auf den
Hochtonlautsprecher. Die Aufnahmeöffnungen (Pfeile)
müssen frei bleiben.
Ziehen Sie das Schutzpapier der Klebeteile ab und
stecken den Hochtonlautsprecher auf die Stifte der
Lautsprecheröffnungen (Abb.11 – Pfeile)in der
Abdeckung des Spiegeldreiecks an die ursprüngliche
Position. Zur Sicherung verkleben Sie noch jeden der
drei Stifte mit handelsüblichem 2-Komponenten-
klebstoff. Verbinden Sie die Steckkontakte.

Fahrer- und Beifahrerseite
Einbau der Tieftonlautsprecher
Der Serienlautsprecher ist mit 8 Nieten
befestigt. Bohren sie diese vorsichtig mit
einem 5mm Bohrer und Bohrmaschine oder
Akkuschrauber aus (Abb.12).
Befestigen Sie nun den neuen Lautsprecher
mit den beiliegenden Blechschrauben.
Verbinden Sie die Steckkontakte wieder.
8.Schritt
Fahrer- und Beifahrerseite
Montieren Sie die Türverkleidung in
umgekehrter Reihenfolge
Achtung! Vergessen Sie nicht, alle Kabelsteckverbindungen wieder herzustellen und
den Seilzug der Tür Innenbetätigung korrekt einzuhängen.

The operational instructions supplied by UPGRADE are designed to enable you to
correctly install the product.
Please read the operational instructions carefully before you begin with the installation and
connection.
Please also consider that all loudspeakers contain many components that require a break
in phase. The loudspeakers in this set are no exception. After a break in period of about 50
hours the bass reproduction will improve considerably and become deeper. In addition the
loudspeakers will achieve higher capacity and become louder. The components win on
quality and durability by observing the above described measures. Please avoid
excessive volume in the break in period.
Every audio source tends to distortions in the highest volume range. This also applies to
the serial radio in your automobile. Since UPGRADE wants to avoid distorted entry signals
to the amplifier, they designed the amplifier correspondingly. This results in a significantly
higher signal than before. The undistorted segment of the usable control range of your
radio is only about 60 % of the maximum control range. Please be aware that loud and
strongly distorted signals may destroy your loudspeaker.

If you bought a set without amplifier, you can omit
the following section.
Step 1
Loosen the radiocover which is only clipsed as
shown. Disengage the cable with plug.
Step 2
Loosen the cover of the air condition which is only
clipsed as shown (illustration 2).
Step 3
Now you have the radio and the ventilation unit in
front of you which are each fastened by 4 screws.

Now remove the ventilation control. Pull out the cables on the ventilation control and
remove them. For this purpose first loosen the red clips on the plugs by pulling.
Attention: The clips can only be loosened, but not
completely removed.
Step 5
Carefully pull the radio out until the back side of the radio is
accessible. Pull out the quadlock plug and the antenna plug
from the radio and remove them (illustration 4).
Please pay attention to the latch of the quadlock plug. First
the clamp in the center must be released and then turned
upward.
The antenna plug (white and light brown) must be released
from below with a slot screw driver.

Step 6
Depending upon how your automobile is equipped you must remove one or more
accessory plugs from the main plug (illustrations 5-6).
Later this plug must be re-plugged into the new accessory plug on the amplifier cable
harness.
Step 8
Among the accessories of your amplifier there is also a 3.5 mm jack socket. Using this
socket you can attach any number of additional devices, i.e. MP 3 player. You can place
this socket in a free switch position in front of the gear shift (automatic transmission
shift). For this purpose you can dismantle the center paneling rather quickly and easily.

You now have a completely open center
panel in front of you. Place the quadlock
plug in the lower part of the center panel
(where the ventilation control was before).
The pulled-out plug remains in the upper
cut-out behind the radio. .

First lift the cover of the gear shift or automatic transmission shift as shown. Begin on the
side of the ashtray. (illustration. 8)
Now lift the front cover upward and pull. The cover is only clipped. Now drill a suitable hole
in one of the switch covers and then fasten the 3.5 mm jack clutch.
Step 9
Mounting of the amplifier. Loosen the 2 screws on the cross strip in the lower radio cut out
area. In this area the amplifier will be inserted and again fastened. Take care that no cable
is pinched.
Step 10
Insert the radio and plug the cable harness together. All plugs are arranged in a
manner that prevents mixed connections.
Please do not forget the antenna cable.
If possible please pull all cables into the lower chamber behind the ventilation control.
Step 11
Replace the center tunnel in reverse order according to the mounting instructions.

Step 1
The Illustrations 1 (Driver side) and 2 (Passenger side) shows the position where the door
panel is mounted. The screws are displayed with arrows, clips are displayed with circles.
Driver side:
Carefully pry the grip dish out of the grip in
the door paneling. Pull the grip dish upward
and out. Disconnect the plug connections.
Passenger side:
Carefully pry the grip dish out of the grip in
the door paneling. Pull the grip dish toward
yourself. Be careful not to tilt the dish.

Attention!
First loosen the door opening cable. Lift the flap and pull the cable backwards out of
the guide. Afterwards remove the hook in front on the plastic lever.
Loosen the plugs for window regulator and if necessary for loudspeakers. Pry possibly
remaining clips out of the door and re-insert them in the door paneling.

Loosen the mirror triangles by pulling off the paneling and then remove the foam rubber
on the back side .

You will now see 2 or rather 3 screws Torx 30. Loosen them.

The door paneling is held in place by 3 more screws Torx TX 20. 2 are located at the
lower side and 1 at the front side of the upper door hinge. Loosen them.

The next illustration shows the back side of a
door paneling. The door panels are clipped
on the driver and passenger sides at the
marked points. Carefully pry the clips
beginning at the bottom. Then pry the door
paneling carefully out of the window slot.

Installation of the tweeters
Carefully remove the tweeter. For this purpose pry open
the 3 fastening points with a slot screwdriver (illustration
9).
Cut 3 parts from the included adhesive ring and place
them on the tweeter as shown in illustration 10. The
entry openings (arrows) must remain free. Remove the
protective paper from the adhesive parts and fit the
tweeter on the pins of the loudspeaker openings
(illustration 11 – arrows) of the mirror triangle cover in
the original position. To be on the safe side glue each of
the 3 pins with normal commercial 2-component glue.
Connect the plugs.

The serial loudspeaker is fastened with 8
rivets (illustration 12). Drill the rivets
carefully out with a 5 mm bit and drill
machine or cordless screwdriver.
Attention! Very carefully remove possible
residue from the door.
Now fasten the new loudspeaker with the
included metal screws. Plug all cables
together. Fasten the cables with the
included material so that they cannot slip
around or rattle.
Step 8
Driver and passenger sides. Remount the door paneling in reverse order.
Attention! Do not forget to reconnect all cable plugs and to correctly replace the door
opening cable.
