reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a
commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency
energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential
area is likely to cause harmful interference, in which case the user will be required to correct
the interference at his/her own expense.

Product Information
The T6100 Convertible Tablet POS system is designed for use in specialty retail locations,
restaurants, convenience stores, and school cafeterias. It can be used as a secure, countertop
all-in-one POS workstation and a mobile POS tablet providing operational flexibility.

Depending on the configuration purchased, the optional integrated MSR accessory, scanner or
rear camera may also be installed onto the T6100.

I/O Panels, Power, Tablet Release
Base Stand Connector Panel
The image above is the interface connector panel located on the bottom of the base stand. All
I/O ports are annotated for convenience.
Base Stand Tablet Release and Attachment
The image above shows the base stand without the tablet secured. Located on the base front is
a USB 2.0 port and a button for unlocking the tablet from the base stand.

To re-attach the tablet to the base, line up the tablet attachment recess with the top of the base
stand. The tablet will be magnetically aligned and will automatically lock.
The tablet will start charging once attached to the base stand.
Note: The base stand must be plugged in in order for the tablet to be secured to the base
stand.
Tablet Power Button Location
The image above is the top view of the tablet showing the power button location circled in red.
To power up, hold the power button for 2 seconds and release.
Powering down the tablet should be performed using the operating system.
NOTE: If the tablet is in sleep mode, pressing the power button for ½ second takes it out of
sleep mode.
Cash Drawer Interface
The POS I/O panel located on the base stand of the T6100 has a single cash drawer port which
can drive a 24VDC cash drawer. The interface is compatible with the APG Cash Drawer
(http://www.cashdrawer.com/ ) CD-005A specification, seen below.

Power Requirements
Tablet Power
The T6100 tablet battery is charged when the tablet is secured to the base stand. There is also
an alternate DC charging jack located on the side of the tablet as shown in the image below
(circled in red).
