INSTALLATION QUICK GUIDE
Box contains:
1 10’’ Tablet
1 CMOS Camera with WiFi module
1 Connection bifurcate cable (connects camera to wifi module)
1 Power supply (9Volt) for WiFi module, with plugs
1 Power supply (5Volt) for Tablet with USB cable, with plugs
1 Tiltable support for Tablet
1 User manual, 1 Quick guide
Remove all the parts from the package and check if any visible damage has occured
1. SWITCH-ON OF VISICAM TC20 TABLET CAMERA
Follow the instructions in the order as described below.
ATTENTION: before doing the connections, be sure that the Tablet is switched off

1. Connect the connection bifurcate cable to camera and to WiFi module
2. Connect the 9 Volt power supply to the WiFi module
3. Put the camera on your microscope trinocular port* or into one of the two eyepieces* (*a C-mount
adapter is necessary, not supplied)
4. Now connect the 9 Volt power supply of WiFi module to the electrical mains, you should see the
red led light on the camera back side switch on
5. Put the Tablet support on the table and put the Tablet on the support
6. Now switch on the Tablet
7. On the Tablet, go to Settings / Language and set your preferred language (factory setting is English)
8. On the Tablet, go to Settings / Wi-Fi / and you will find the network created by the Wi-fi module of
the camera, this is called “Wireless 11n AP-xxxxx” (where xxxxx is unique number for each VISICAM
TC20 system). No password is required to connect to this network.
If you do not find this network on the list of networks available, please check that the power supply
(9 Volt) of Wifi module if has been properly connected to the Wi-Fi module and that the
connections between camera and Wi-Fi module have been made correctly.
If connection to the network of the camera has been succesful, then exit the Settings menu and
return to the main window of the Tablet
9. Now you can touch the icon “Tabkam View” Application to start working

2. GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
This Tablet system is based on a Android Operating System, so you have always these 3 buttons available
on the lower part of the screen
BACK button
touch this to close the activity.
HOME button
touch this to put in the background the activity; activity is not killed.
OPEN APPLICATIONS button
touch this to see all open applications
3. TABKAM VIEW LOGIN WINDOW
When TABKAM VIEW application is started, the login window appears as below:

4. HOW TO PREVIEW AND CAPTURE AN IMAGE
After you login, touch PROJECT/NEW in the commands bar (right part of the screen), and you will see the
live image coming from the camera (microscope and camera must be properly switched on)
When the image is fine and in focus, press the “camera” icon. If the acquired image is ok, then
confirm pressing the icon otherwise press the icon on the lower part of the image to go
back to preview image and try to acquire a new one.
5. SWITCH-OFF TABLET CAMERA SYSTEM
1. Unplug the 9Volt power supply of WiFi module from electrical mains of your laboratory
2. Exit the application Tabkam View
3. Switch off the Tablet
