PRESET ASSIGNMENT, ACCESS AND CONTROL
FRONT PANEL PRESET ACCESS
Standard operation display showing the name of
the amplier on the top line, which can be changed in
the System Vue software, and the current loaded preset
on the second line.
Preset select display shown after the MENU
button has been pressed.
The V3-i and the V242 do not have front panel displays or access to preset selection at the amplier. For
these two amplier models you will need to access the amplier through the SystemVue software. The V4
and V6 models can also be locked out of front panel access through the SystemVue software.
The V4-d and V6-d have front panel displays and
controls to access presets at the amplier.
In normal operation the front panel display will
show the default name or the name assigned
the amplier in the SystemVue software, and the
preset currently loaded.
Changing Preset at amplier:
To change the currently loaded preset:
1. Press the MENU button and the display will
change to show “Configuration:” on the top
line.
2. Turn the control knob to run through the
available presets in the amplifier’s memory.
3. When the desired preset is found stop and
press exit and the preset will be loaded, and
the display will return to the normal operation
display.
Preset assignment, Access can be achieved through
and one of the three network connectors. The
V-drive series is best run on a Dynamically assigned
IP address, DHCP, managed Ethernet network. The
SystemVue software will automatically identify any
Vue networked products on the network when it is
launched. For non-DHCP networks the VDrive System
Engines will work and auto identify using the ad-hoc
network conventions. This may be slower or take
some time to re-access if the ampliers were already
on a DHCP network. Static addresses may also be
used. Caution must be taken to manage the static
IP addresses, so they are not repeated or place out
of the users subnet mask range. If placed out of the users Subnet mask range, SystemVue will still see the
products, but it can not connect and communicate with them.
The SystemVue software is available for download from vueaudio.com. In the software you can, control the
input volumes, select presets, adjust input EQ, manage all your network controlled Vue products and much
more.
