GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
Fora grounded,cord-connectedwasher:
Thiswasher must begrounded. Inthe event
of
a
malfunction or breakdown, grounding
will reduce the risk of electrcal shock by
providinga pathof leastresistancefor elec-
tric current. This washer is equipped with a
cord having an equipment-grounding con-
ductor and a grounding plug. The plugmust
be plugged into an appropriate outlet that
is properly installed and grounded in accor-
dance with all localcodesand ordinances.
WARNING: Improper connection of the
equipment-grounding conductor can result
inarisk of electricshock. Checkwithaquali-
fied electrician or serviceman if you are in
doubtastowhethertheapplianceisproperly
grounded.
Do
not modify the plug provided with the
appliance-if itwill not fit the outlet, have a
proper outlet installed by a qualified electri-
cian.
For a permanentlyconnectedwasher:

ed metal, permanent wiring system, or an
equipment-grounding conductor must be
