reversetheplug.Iftheplugstilldoesnotfit,obtainacorrectpolarizedextensioncord.A
polarizedextensioncordwillrequiretheuseofapolarizedwalloutlet.Thisplugwillfitintothe
polarizedwalloutletonlyoneway.Ifplugdoesnotfitfullyintothewalloutlet,reversetheplug.
Ifitstilldoesnotfit,contactaqualifiedelectriciantoinstalltheproperwalloutlet.Donot
changetheequipmentplug,extensioncordreceptacle,orextensioncordpluginanyway.
zToreducetheriskofelectricalshock,useextensioncordsspecificallymarkedassuitablefor

outdoorappliances.Theelectricalratingofthecordmustnotbelessthantheratingoftheunit.
Thecordmustbemarkedwiththesuffix“W‐A”(inCanada,“W”).Makesureyourextension
cordisingoodcondition.Inspectextensioncordbeforeuseandreplaceifdamaged.An
undersizedextensioncordwillcauseadropinlinevoltageresultinginlossofpowerand
overheating.Ifindoubt,usethenextheaviergauge.Thesmallerthegaugenumber,the
heavierthecord.

DoubleInsulationConstruction
Thisunitisdoubleinsulatedtohelpprotectagainstelectricshock.Doubleinsulationconstruction
consistsoftwoseparate“layers”ofelectricalinsulationinsteadofgrounding.Toolsandappliances
builtwithadoubleinsulationsystemarenotintendedtobegrounded.Nogroundingmeansis
providedonthisunit,norshouldameansofgroundingbeaddedtothisunit.Asaresult,theexten‐
sioncordusedwithyourunitcanbepluggedintoanystandard120voltelectricaloutlet.Safety
precautionsmustbeobservedwhenoperatinganyelectricaltool.Thedoubleinsulationsystemonly
providesaddedprotectionagainstinjuryresultingfromaninternalelectricalinsulationfailure.

WARNING:
Allelectricalrepairstothisunit,includinghousing,switch,motor,etc.,mustbediagnosedand
repairedbyqualifiedservicepersonnel.Replacementpartsforadoubleinsulatedappliancemust

EXTENSIONCORD–Makesureyourextensioncordisingoodcondition.Whenusinganextension
cord,besureitisheavyenoughtocarrythecurrentyourproductwilldraw.Anundersized
extensioncordwillcauseadropinlinevoltageresultinginlossofpowerandoverheating.


Itispossibletotietheextensioncordandpowercordinaknotto
preventthemfrombecomingdisconnectedduringuse.Makethe
knotasshown,thenconnecttheplugendofthepowercordinto
thereceptacleendoftheextensioncord.Thismethodcanalsobe
usedtotietwoextensioncordstogether.


OPERATION
Securingtheextensioncord
1. Makealoopwiththeextensioncord.
2. Inserttheloopthroughtheholeonthesafeguard.Pullitoverthecordretainerandgentlytug
onthecordtoensurethatitisfirmlysecured.

3. Connecttheextensioncordtotheappliancecord.
