Ifitstilldoesnotfit,contactaqualifiedelectriciantoinstalltheproperwalloutlet.Donot
changetheequipmentplug,extensioncordreceptacle,orextensioncordpluginanyway.

DoubleInsulationConstruction
Thisunitisdoubleinsulatedtohelpprotectagainstelectricshock.Doubleinsulationconstruction
consistsoftwoseparate“layers”ofelectricalinsulationinsteadofgrounding.Toolsandappliances
builtwithadoubleinsulationsystemarenotintendedtobegrounded.Nogroundingmeansis
providedonthisunit,norshouldameansofgroundingbeaddedtothisunit.Asaresult,theexten‐
sioncordusedwithyourunitcanbepluggedintoanystandard120voltelectricaloutlet.Safety
precautionsmustbeobservedwhenoperatinganyelectricaltool.Thedoubleinsulationsystemonly
providesaddedprotectionagainstinjuryresultingfromaninternalelectricalinsulationfailure.
WARNING:

extensioncordwillcauseadropinlinevoltageresultinginlossofpowerandoverheating.

Itispossibletotietheextensioncordandpowercordinaknotto
preventthemfrombecomingdisconnectedduringuse.Makethe
knotasshown,thenconnecttheplugendofthepowercordinto
thereceptacleendoftheextensioncord.Thismethodcanalsobe
usedtotietwoextensioncordstogether.

OPERATION
Securingtheextensioncord
1. Makealoopwiththeextensioncord.
2. Inserttheloopthroughtheholeonthesafeguard.Pullitoverthecordretainerandgentlytug
onthecordtoensurethatitisfirmlysecured.
3. Connecttheextensioncordtotheappliancecord.

StartingandStopping
1. Toswitchonthetrimmer,pressandholdtheOn/offswitch.Releasetheswitchtostop.
Linefeeding
Duringuse,thetipofthetrimminglinewillgetshorterduetowear.Regularlycheckthecondition
ofthetrimminglineandadjustifnecessary.Thetrimmingspoolisequippedwithabumperhelping
tofeedthetrimminglinewhileoperating.
CAUTION:Thelinefeedingsystemworksonlywhentheproductisswitchedon.
1. Tapthebumper(A)onsolidgroundandthespoolwillreleasetrimmingline.

Trimming
1. Holdthetrimmerfirmlywithagapbetweentheproductandyourrightside.
2. Standupright,donotleanforwardandpayattentiontoposture.Keepboothfeetaparttohelp
retainyourbalance.
3. Holdthecuttingheadjustabovethegroundatanangleofapproximately30‐degreestothe
workarea.
4. Movetheproductwithaslowregulararcfromlefttorightbeforemovingitbacktothestarting
positionbeforetrimmingthenextarea.

5. Ensurethecuttingattachmentremainscleanandfreefromoff‐cutsthatmaycauseittojam.
Checkregularly.ReleasetheOn/offswitchanddisconnecttheproductfromthepowersupply
beforechecking.
6. Trimlongergrassinstages;donotcutlonggrassinonecutlikebelowAphoto.Forthebest
results,cutlongergrassinstepslikebelowBphoto.

MAINTENANCE

cloth.
4. Plasticpartsmaybecleanedbyusingmildsoapandadamprag.
5. Alwaysstoreyourgrasstrimmerinadryplace.Donotallowanyliquidtogetinsideit.

7. Ifyouseesomesparksflashingintheventilationslots,thisisnormalandwillnotdamageyour
powertool.

Thetrimmingspoolmaybereplacedbytheconsumer,whenitisemptyorworn.

1. Turntheproductovertoaccessthetrimmingline.
2. Holdthetrimmerhead(8)steadywithonehand.Rotatethecover(1)anticlockwiseto
disengagethelatches(3)fromthehousing(7).
3. Removethecover(1)togetherwiththetrimmingspool(4)
4. Discardalltrimmingline(5)onthespool(4).
5. Cleanthehousing(7)beforeinsertinganewspool(4)ofthesametype.
6. Leadthetrimmingline(5)endingsthroughtheeyelets(2)ofthecover.
7. Refitthecover(1)ontothehousing(7)androtateitclockwisetosecureit.
8. Ensurethecoveriscorrectlyfittedbeforereleasingit.Otherwise,duetospringactionitmaybe
ejectedinjuries.
IMPORTANT!Toensureproductsafetyandreliability,repairs,maintenance,andadjustmentstothis

powertoolshouldbeperformedonlywithidenticalreplacementparts.
STORAGE
Followtheserecommendationsforstoringthegrasstrimmer.
