1.The lampbecomeshightemperatureafterturning off the projectorwiththe power
button.If youtouchthe lamp,youmayscaldyourfinger.Whenyoureplacethe lamp,
waitforatleast45 minutesforthe lamptocooldown.
2.Donottouchthe lampglass atanytime.The lampmayexplode due toimproper
handling,including the touching ofthe lampglass.
3.Lamplifetimemaydifferfromlamptolampand according tothe environmentofuse.
Thereisno guarantee ofthe samelifetimeforeachlamp.Somelampsmayfailor
terminatetheirlifetimeinashorterperiod oftimethanothersimilarlamps.
4.Alampmayexplode asaresultofvibration,shock ordegradationasaresultofhours
ofuseasitslifetimedrawstoanend.Risk ofexplosionmaydifferaccording tothe
environmentorconditionsinwhichthe projectorand lamparebeing used.

8.Donotoperatethe lampinanatmospherecontaining aninflammablesubstance,such
asthinner.Otherwiseitcouldcauseafireorexplosion.
9.Thoroughlyventilatethe area orthe roomwhenoperating the lampinanoxygen
atmosphere(inthe air).If ozone isinhaled,itcouldcauseheadaches,nausea,
dizziness,etc.
10.The inorganicmercuryisinvolved inthe lamp.If the lampbursts,the mercuryinside the
lampwillgo outofthe projector.Leavethe area immediatelyifthe lampshatterswhile
being operated and ventilatethe area foratleast30 minutesinordertoavoidthe
inhalationofmercuryfumes.Otherwiseitcouldbe harmfultouser’s health.
11.Disposeofthe used lampaccording tolocalregulations.
12.Ensurethatscrewsaretightened properly.Screwsnottightened fullymayresultin
injuryoraccidents.
13.Sincethe lampismade ofglass,do notdrop the unitand do notscratchthe glass.
14.Donotreusethe oldlamp.Thiscouldcausethe lamptoexplode.
15.Besuretoturnoff the projectorand unplug theACpowercordbeforereplacing the
lamp.
16.Donotusethe projectorwiththe lampcoverremoved.
Disposal:Fordisposalofspentlamps,always consultfederal,state,localand
provincialhazardouswastedisposalrulesand regulationstoensure
properdisposal.
Caution:Thislampemitsultraviolet(UV)radiationand operatesathigh
pressure.
Thislampmayonlybe used inenclosed fixturesthatcomplywith
UL1572.
Due tothe high luminousefficacy,the UVradiationwhichthe lamp
emitsand the highpressurewithinthe lamp,P-VIPâlampsmayonlybe
operated withinenclosed,purpose-builthousings.
