PLAY FORT CONFIGURATION
The Action Play Fort can be set up in a number of different configurations to suit
different backyards and customer preferences. For these alternate set up options, the
swing set section must always be attached to the fort on sideA.This side is easily
identified as it has a higher support bar than the other three sides of the fort (see
illustration below).
Side A. Note the hole and cross bar position
is higher than the other three sides. Swing
section must connect to this side.
The other three sections (Slide, monkey bars and ladder) can be interchanged, and will
assemble and connect to the unit on any of the three remaining sides. Once the position has
been determined, follow the instructions to attach each section to the chosen side. The six
different position options are as follows:

SECTION 1 – FORTASSEMBLY
Figure 1: Slide sand pit stays x 4 (D61) through each of the side sleeves of the sand
pit floor (B23). Place lower main frame tubes x 4 (D60) on the four corners of the
sand pit floor, using one person to hold the poles vertically while second person
attaches components. Place ground support pegs x 4 (X20) in corners, and attaches to
lower main frame tubes using R63a bolt x 4 and R6 nut x 4. Attach sand pit stays (D61)
in all four corners to lower main frame tubes (D60), using R6 bolt x8 and R6 nut x8.
Double check fort is in correct position and push ground support pegs firmly into the

Figure 2: Place sand pit cover
over sand pit (B24).

Figure 3: Place
Middle main
frame tube D62a
and middle main
frame tube D62b
side by side as
shown in diagram.
It is important that
the two D62a
middle main
frame tubes are
adjacent to each
other and the two
D62b pieces are
adjacent to each
other. Connect
the four middle main frame tubes with connection pieces D66 (x2) and D65 (x1) as
shown, please note that the D65 piece overlaps the two D66 pieces before adding nut
and bolt. Add upper main frame tube D68 (x2) as shown and connect to middle main
frame tubes. The two D68 pieces must be on the same sides (parallel to) as the two
D66 cross pieces. Connect piece D64 on remaining side (opposite piece D65) before
adding nuts and bolts.
Figure 4: With 2 people, lift middle section
constructed in figure 3 and connect as shown to
base section. Do not add nuts or bolts at this
point.

Figure 5: Slide Fort enclosure net
(B26) over top of frame, ensuring
the side with the higher connection
hole is on the same side of the frame
that has the higher connection
support piece (D64). This will be
the side that the swing set will be
positioned on.
Figure 6: With
one person holding
the fort jumping
mat (B25), position
mat so that support
loops overlap the
loops at the base of
the fort enclosure
net as per
illustration. Add
Fort platform
support tubes D63
(x4) to each side,
threading the
support tube
through the loops of both the enclosure net and the jumping mat as shown. On all
four sides, add Bolts R55 x 8 and nuts R6 x 8.

Figure 7: Connect
Canopy roof frame
D67 (x2) to Canopy
roof support tube D69
(x1) Using bolt R35
(x2). Affix roof
piece to main frame
using bolts R60 (x8)
and nuts R6 (x8).
Place canopy B27
over roof frame.
Figure 8: Tension canopy at
both ends over the roof frame
using the Velcro strips at each
