¾Maintenance Instruction:
¾Check all nuts and bolts twice monthly during the usage season and tighten as required(But not so
tight that you crack the wood). We recommend that you check the swing beam and hardware
every two weeks due to wood expansion and contraction. It is particularly important that this
procedure be followed at the beginning of each season.
¾Check all coverings for bolts and sharp edges twice monthly during usage season to be certain
they are in place. Replace when necessary. It is especially important to do this at the beginning of
each new season.
¾All outdoor wooden products require routine inspection and regular maintenance. After installation,
a follow –up inspection should take place after one week and twice a month thereafter for the
remaining life of your play products. Maintenance should be performed at any time it is deemed
necessary. As a general rule, major maintenance(wood refinishing) should be performed at twelve
month intervals from the date of installation. Inspect and perform maintenance based on the
following checklist.
¾Major wooden parts: Inspect for splintering and structure defects. If necessary, lightly sand and
refinish with an exterior water repellent stain.
¾Hardware : Inspect for tightness. Be certain that hardware is firmly against, but not crushing the
wood. Over-tightening hardware crushes wood fibers and splits wooden components and could
result in the bolt threads extending beyond the wood and presenting a severe safety hazard. If
splintering has occurred from over tightening, large washers can be purchased at your local

ACTIONSPORTSEQUIPMENTPTYLIMITED Page:5
hardware store and installed under the bolt head. Be sure to reuse or replace your lock washers. If
over-tightening has caused the bolts threads to protrude beyond the wood surface, replace the
bolt with a shorter one that will not protrude. These bolts are standard items and can be purchased
at your local hardware store.
¾Ongoing Wood treatment: This product is supplied in a natural stain finish
and has not been chemically treated, The timber used in this product has not
undergone any hazardous treatment and required constant maintenance to
ensure the longevity and optimal performance and appearance of the product.
To maintain product appearance and lifespan the following is suggested:
¾Depending on your climate or location, the wood can start to change in colour
appearance, sings of fading or change in colour are a clear sign that new
protectant application is required.
¾At regular intervals, the application of a penetrating oil based sealer stain to
all wooden components is essential. Please consult your local hardware or
home improvement store for recommendation of an appropriate product.
Ensure the product does not contain hazardous chemicals once dry that can
pose a potential health risk to children.
¾The wood originally has a natural wood stain colour, if desired, the stain
colour can be changed
¾Please retain these instructions for future reference.

identification during the assembly process, write the board’s letter on masking tape and adhere to
each piece of the wood. Some wooden components may twist or warp in the carton after
packaging. Usually, these parts straighten out when assembled. You may also see some
cracking of the grain. .
