Introduction
Introduction
Description
The Agilent E3155E supplies those items required to mount the HP D8900A 17-inch color monitor into the system
cabinet of the Agilent 4071A/4072A/4073A parametric testers. The Agilent E3155G supplies those items required
to mount the HP D8906A 17-inch color monitor into the system cabinet. The Agilent E3101A/E3102A/E3103A
option 020 is rack mount option for 17-inch monitor, and supplies those items required to mount 17-inch monitor
into the system cabinet. The contents of option 020 depend on the monitor type of Agilent E3171A/E3172A system
controller.
This document covers what items are included in the option and kit, how to install the 17-inch color monitor, and
how to use the belt to fix the monitor on the support shelf.
Necessary Tools
For installing the E3101A/E3102A/E3103A option 020, E3155E, or E3155G; you require the following tool.

• pozidrive screwdrivers

How to Install Option 020
How to Install Option 020
1. Remove the front panel attached where the 17-inch monitor is installed. To remove the screws securing the
front panel to the cabinet frame, use the torxÒwrench.
2. Remove the support shelf that is placed on the support rail. Place it on the floor.
3. Remove the stand on which the 17-inch monitor is mounted.
4. Put the 17-inch monitor on the support shelf.
5. Secure the monitor with the belt. See “How to Use the Belt”.
6. Lift the support shelf (including the monitor), place on the support rails, and slide into the cabinet.
7. Put the front panel on the cabinet frame and secure it with the screws.
8. Connect the video cable.
9. Connect one end of the power cord to the monitor, connect the other end to one of the outlets on the power
distribution unit (PDU) in the cabinet.
10. Attach the keyboard shelf in front of the support shelf, and secure it with the screws.
11. Put the keyboard and mouse on the keyboard shelf, and connect the cables to the system controller.

How to Install Agilent E3155E/G
How to Install Agilent E3155E/G
1. Remove the cabinet front door, and install the small front door.
2. Remove the blank panels attached where the 17-inch monitor is installed. To remove the panels, use the torxÒ
wrench.
3. Attach the support rails inside the cabinet and secure them with the screws.
4. Place the support shelf on the floor.
5. Pass the belt through the openings on the support shelf.
6. Remove the stand on which the 17-inch monitor is mounted.
7. Put the 17-inch monitor on the support shelf.
8. Secure the monitor with the belt. See “How to Use the Belt”.
9. Lift the support shelf (including the monitor), place on the support rails, and slide into the cabinet.
10. Put the front panel on the cabinet frame and secure it with the screws.
11. Connect the video cables.
12. Connect one end of the power cord to the monitor, connect the other end to one of the outlets on the power
distribution unit (PDU) in the cabinet.
13. Attach the keyboard shelf in front of the support shelf, and secure it with the screws.
14. Put the keyboard and mouse on the keyboard shelf, and connect the cables to the system controller.

How to Use the Belt
To Tighten the Belt
1. Thread the edge of the adjusting side of the belt into
the opening of the reeling axis (A), and pull the
adjusting side to tighten.
2. To tighten the belt, wind it by pushing and pulling
the operating lever in the directions shown (B).
Note that the belt must be wound at least two
turns, but not so it reaches the end.
3. Push the operating lever as far as it will go in the
direction (C).

How to Use the Belt
To Loosen the Belt
1. Grasp the operating lever, then pull the opening lever
in the direction shown (D). The belt will
automatically loosen when in this position.
2. Clamp the edge of the opening lever on the
opening stopper, and pull the belt.
