Inledning
BTL är en luftvärmeväxlare anpassad för montage i
kylrum. Konstruktionen är anpassad för takmontage
där den kan monteras direkt mot taket.
Vi rekommenderar att användarmanualen läses
igenom noggrant innan produkten hanteras. Den ger
en vägledning i hur produkten ska skötas. Vid
eventuella oklarheter kontaktas återförsäljaren eller
AIA. Användarmanualen finns för nedladdning på
AIA’s hemsida och ska vara tillgänglig för all personal
som hanterar produkten.
Allmänt
Hantering av produkten får endast ske genom
behörig personal och i enlighet med respektive lands
regler och normer.
Bryt alltid strömmen vid arbete med produkten.
Försäkra Dig om att fläktarna har stannat.
Produkten får aldrig anslutas till annan spänning och
frekvens än vad som framgår av märkdata.
Använd alltid lämplig skyddsutrustning vid arbete
med produkten. Skyddshandskar bör alltid användas
vid kontakt med lamellerna i kylbatteriet.
Ämnen och substanser som angriper koppar,
aluminium och stål får ej användas i närheten av
produkten.
Produkten skall alltid monteras så att fri luftcirkulation
uppnås.
För optimal funktion ska lamellerna i kylbatteriet vara
rena från alla typer av beläggning.
Produkten får ej vara täckt under drift.
Garanti
AIA erbjuder en 24-månaders garanti mot fel upp-
komna i samband med tillverkning. Garantin börjar
gälla från leveransdatum. Garantin gäller ej för frys-
skador eller skador/fel uppkomna p.g.a. slitage eller
felaktig hantering. Vid misstanke om skador eller fel
på produkten ska återförsäljaren eller AIA omedelbart
kontaktas. Vid garantiärenden, se checklista på AIA’s
hemsida under ”Om oss”
och ”Reklamationshantering”.
Undvik frysskador på BTL-B
(fläktluftkylare)!
Det åligger Köparen att tillse att frysskador ej uppstår
på produkten. AIA’s produkter läckageprovas med
tryckluft i fabrik, vilket gör att vi garanterar att pro-
dukterna är helt fria från vätska vid leverans. Vid
förvaring av ej inkopplad eller felaktigt inkopplad pro-
dukt, kan kondens bildas i rörsystemet. Kondens ger
upphov till vätskesamling som kan frysa och förstöra
produkten. Vid misstanke om frysskada, kontakta
omedelbart återförsäljaren eller AIA för rådgivning.

Introduction
BTL is an air heat exchanger designed to be
assembled in cold storage rooms. It can be
assembled tight to the ceiling.
We recommend you thoroughly read this guide
before the product is handled. It's a guideline how to
handle the product and if You are unsure about
anything, please contact your AIA sales represen-
tative or AIA direct. This guide must be available for
persons handling the product and you’ll find it at
www.aia.se under ”Products”.
In General
Handling of the product must only be made by
authorized persons and according to national
standards and norms.
Always disconnect from mains electricity when
handling the product. Make sure the fans have
stopped.
The product must never be connected to other
voltage or frequency than specified on the product.
Always use appropriate protection when handling the
product. Protective gloves should always be used
when handling the coil. The fins are very sharp.
Substances aggressive to copper, aluminium and
steel must never be used close to the product.
The product must always be installed so free air-
circulation can be maintained.
To guarantee optimal performance of the product,
make sure the fins are free from all types of dirt or
coating.
The product must never be covered during operation.
Warranty
AIA offers a 24-months warranty against faults made
when the product was manufactured. The warranty
period starts from delivery date. The warranty is not
applicable when the product is damaged because of
freezing, abnormal wear or incorrect operation. When
a damage or a fault is discovered, immediately
contact your AIA sales representative or AIA direct.

"About Us" under "Claim Handling".
Avoid damages due to freezing in BTL-B
(Air Cooler)!
It’s the responsibility of the buyer to make sure no
damages occur because of freezing. All AIA products
are leak tested at the factory with pressurized air.
This guarantees the products are free from any liquid
when delivered. If the product is connected in the
wrong way or the product is stored unconnected,
condensate might occur in the pipe system.
Condensate gives rise to water and water can freeze
and destroy the product. If any signs of freezing
damage occurs, immediately contact your AIA sales

rörsystemet inte fryser sönder. Detta förhindras
genom att säkerställa minst ett av följande alternativ:
- Förvara produkten i minst +5°C.
- Tillse att vätskan i hela rörsystemet är behandlad
så att den ej kan frysa.
Observera att värmeväxlaren ej är helt
avtappningsbar!
Observera att BTL-X (fläktförångare) levereras
trycksatt med 0,1 bar kvävgas och så länge gasen ej
avlägsnas föreligger ingen frysrisk.
Mottagning och förvaring
Innan produkten lämnade AIA's fabrik, godkändes
den i en grundlig funktions- och kvalitetskontroll. Vid
mottagandet är det mottagarens ansvar att utföra en
noggrann besiktning. Vid minsta misstanke om tran-
sportskada skall chauffören meddelas och anteck-
ning göras på fraktsedeln. Följ därefter checklistan
som finns på vår hemsida under "Om oss" och
"Reklamationshantering".
Vid förvaring rekommenderas att använda
originalförpackningen. Tillse att inga skadliga ämnen
finns i närheten av produkten.
Beskrivning av produkten
BTL levereras med aluminiumhölje och axialfläktar.

When transporting, storing, at start-up, in operation
or standstill it's crucial making sure the pipe system
of the product does not freeze. This is done by
accomplishing at least one of following actions:
- Always store the product at minimum +5°C.
- Make sure the liquid inside the pipe system is
treated so it cannot freeze
Be aware the heat exchanger is not completely
drainable!
Be aware the BTL-X (Unit Cooler) is delivered
pressurized with 0,1 bar of Nitrogen. As long as the
gas is present there is no risk of freezing.
Goods Receiving and Storage
Before the product left AIA's factory it was
approved in a thorough function and quality control
test. When receiving the product it is the
responsibility of the receiver to make a thorough
inspection. Any suspicion about transport damage
must immediately be reported to the driver and a
notice must be made on the delivery note. Follow
the checklist for product claim, see www.aia.se
under "About Us" and "Claim Handling".
When storing the product it is recommended to use
the original packaging. Make sure no aggressive
substances are close to the product.
Description of the Product
BTL is delivered with axial fans and the casing is
made in aluminium.

Installation
Move the product to its planned installation place
before the packing is removed.
Cut the straps and remove the
lid and the sides of the wooden
packing. Leave the product on
the pallet and use the pallet
when installing.
BTL must be installed so free air circulation can be
maintained, see picture 3. All dimensions in mm.
When electrical heating of the cooling coil is
chosen (EN), space must be available for possible
changes of heater rods. The A-dimension is
specified in the drawing available in AIACalc. All
dimensions in mm.
BTL in a-module-version with less than eight fans
(<8 fans) and BTL in b-module-version with less
than six fans (<6 fans), see picture 4. The side of
the product used for installing the heater rods is
specified in drawings available in AIACalc.
Installation
Transportera produkten till avsett
utrymme innan emballaget tas
bort.
Klipp av spännbanden och
avlägsna locket och sidorna av
träemballaget. Pallen används
för att lyfta produkten på plats i
samband med installation.

BTL skall installeras så att fri luftcirkulation uppnås,
se bild 3. Alla mått i mm.
Vid val av elvärme i kylbatteriet (EN) måste utrymme
finnas för ev. byte av elvärmestavarna. A-måttet
erhålls från ritning i AIACalc. Alla mått i mm.
BTL i a-modul-utförande med mindre än åtta fläktar
(<8 fläktar) samt BTL i b-modul-utförande med
mindre än sex fläktar (<6 fläktar), se bild 4.
Observera att vilken sida som används för montage
av elstavarna bestäms av vilken modell som väljs, se
ritning i AIACalc!

BTL i a-modul utförande med åtta fläktar eller fler
(≥8 fläktar) samt BTL b-modul utförande med sex
fläktar eller fler (≥6 fläktar), se bild 5. Elstavarna
byts från båda sidor.
Använd pallen när produkten
ska lyftas på plats, se bild 6.
OBS! Två truckar måste
användas vid lyft av produkt
med mer än 5 fläktar!
Montera produkten i upphäng-
ningskonsolerna (se bild 1).
Säkerställ att produkten
sitter fast ordentligt och lossa
transportbenen från pallen.
Sänk därefter ned pallen.
Demontera transportbenen, som
enbart används under transport och
installation. Montera de bipackade
plastpluggarna i hålen för transportbenen.
Montage av droppfångare
Droppfångarsektionen, se bild 7
monteras genom att den hakas
fast i BTL.
Vik låsblecket för att låsa
fast sektionen, se bild 8.
BTL in a-module-version with eight or more fans
(≥8 fans) and BTL in b-module-version with six or
more fans (≥6 fans), see picture 5. Heater rods are
replaced from both sides.
Use the pallet for lifting the
product, see picture 6.
NB. Two forklifts must be
used when installing BTL with
more than 5 fans!
Assemble the product with the
brackets (see picture 1).
Make sure the product is
thoroughly fixed and then
dismantle the transport
supports from the pallet.
Lower the pallet.
Dismantle the transport
supports. They are only used
during transport and installation. Assemble the
enclosed plastic plugs in the empty holes from the
transport supports.
Assembly of drip guard
Hook the drip guard section on the BTL,
see picture 7.
Bend the locking tinplate so it locks the
drip tray section, see picture 8.

Underhåll
BTL storlek 4-10 levereras
med droppfångarsektioner i
olika längder. Sektionerna är
märkta i kanten med olika
antal hål, se bild 9.
För att sektionerna ska passa
måste montaget alltid börja
från vänster med sektion
märkt med ett hål. Montaget
avslutas alltid längst till höger
med sektion märkt med tre hål.
Inkoppling av fläktar
Utan tillval: Anslut till fläktens kopplingsdosa enligt
elschema bipackat med leveransen.
Tillval LSS: Anslut till säkerhetsbrytaren enligt
elschema bipackat med leveransen.
Tillval JBS: Anslut till kopplingslådan enligt
elschema bipackat med leveransen.
Inställning motorskydd
Diagram 1 visar inställning
av motorskydd vid olika
rumstemperaturer.
Motormärkdata enligt
produktskylt vid -30°C.

BTL sizes 4-10 are delivered with
drip tray sections in different
lengths. The sections are marked
at the edge with different number
of holes, see picture 9. Assembly
must always start from left side
with section marked with one hole.
Assembly must always be finished
at right side with a section marked
with three holes.
Connection of fans
Without any optional extras: Connect to the fans
according to the electrical scheme enclosed with
the product.
Option LSS: Connect to the safety switches
according to the electrical scheme enclosed with
the product.
Option JBS chosen: Connect to the common
junction box according to the electrical scheme
enclosed with the product.
Setting of overload
protection
Diagram 1 shows the setting of
overload at different room
temperatures. Motor rating
data according to product sign
at -30°C.
For example at room
temperature 0 °C:

Connection of heater rods
Connection is made at one of the
short sides of the product. Dismantle
the screws, see picture 10 and
remove the side panel.

Maintenance
Make sure the product is disconnected from
mains electricity!
De-mounting of fans
Disconnect the cables in the
terminal box of the fan. Dismantle
four bolts, remove the washers and
remove the fan.
Mounting of fans
Place the fan in its original place.
Place the screws and washers in the
two upper holes. Don’t fix them!
Centre the fan and fix it with the two
lower screws and washers. Fix the
upper screws.
NB. There are locking washers
between the cabinet and the fan
guard.
Change of heater rod in
cooling coil
Disconnect the cables
from the terminal box.
Dismantle the locker
washer in the front or
the end. Pull out the
heater rod. Assembly
is done in reverse of
disassembly.
Change of heater rod
in drip tray
Disconnect the cables in the
terminal box. Lower the drip tray and
the drip guard. Dismantle the
lock washer fixing the heater rod.
Assembly is done in reverse of
disassembly.
Underhåll
Säkerställ att produkten är
spänningslös!
Demontering av fläkt
Koppla loss elanslutningen i
kopplingsboxen på fläkten. Lossa
fyra bultar, avlägsna brickorna och
ta loss fläkten.
Montering av fläkt
Placera fläkten på sin plats. Skruva
löst i skruvar och brickor i de två
översta hålen. Centrera fläkten
och skruva fast de nedersta
skruvarna med brickor. Skruva
därefter fast de översta skruvarna.
Observera att det sitter
solfjäderbrickor mellan hölje
och fläktgaller!
Byte av elvärmestav i kylbatteri
Koppla loss kablarna
från elboxen. Lossa
låsbrickan i fram- eller
bakkant. Dra ut
elvärmestaven. Montage
sker i omvänd ordning.
Byte av elvärmestav i droppskål
Koppla loss elkablarna från
elboxen. Fäll ned droppskålen och
droppfångaren. Demontera låsblecken
som håller elvärmestaven på plats.
Montage sker i omvänd
ordning.

Koppla loss dräneringsslangen från

skruvarna.
Rengör droppskål, dropplåt
och kylbatteri med vatten och
rengöringsmedel.
Rengöringsmedlet får ej vara
aggressivt mot koppar eller
aluminium.
Kontrollera att avloppet ej är
igensatt.
Skölj med vatten och låt torka.
Montera tillbaka droppfångaren
och droppskålen.

Cleaning
Dismantle the drain hose from the
drip tray.
Dismantle the screws (1)
picture 18 and lower the drip
tray.
Dismantle the screws and
lower the drip guard.
Clean the drip tray, the drip guard
and the cooling coil with water and
detergent. The detergent must not
be aggressive against copper or
aluminium.
Make sure the drain is free from dirt.
Rinse with water and let it dry.
Assemble the drip tray and the drip
guard.
Connect the drain hose.

The product is not allowed to put in operation until the machine or system, which it is to be
incorporated or which it is to be a part of is in accordance with the Machinery Directive 98/37/EC.
