INTRODUCTION
Please read this instruction book carefully prior to commencing the installation.
Legal & Statutory Obligations
Installation of this Coolbreeze Air Conditioner must conform to local building rules and
regulations, electrical and plumbing codes, Environmental Protection Authority (EPA)
rules and regulations, and all applicable Australia Standards and standards in the
countries were CoolBreeze units are being installed.
Safety and O.H. & S requirements
The safety requirements for each installation will be different. Before commencing with
the installation do a full assessment of all factors which may be hazardous to the
installation team, home owner or people in the immediate vicinity.
The installation team will need to check the following to minimise the risks whilst working
at heights.
Footwear suitable for type of roof (metal or tile).
Protective clothing to suit environmental conditions.
Access to roof fits safety requirements. Ensure the roof has access footings and
platforms where the pitch is greater than the acceptable standard.
Harness anchorage points are provided where the pitch of the roof is greater than
the acceptable standard. Refer Australian Standard 1891.4:2000 Part 4 Selection
use and maintenance, Table 2.
When carrying out installation the mains supply to the units must be disconnected.
If mains supply lead is damaged in any way it must be replaced by the electrician.
CAUTION
This appliance is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack experience and knowledge, un-
less they have been given instruction or are supervised.
Children being supervised are not to play with this appliance.
This appliance is to be permanently connected to the water mains and not to be connect-
ed by a hose-set.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
WARNING
In Australia this evaporative cooler is not designed or intended to be installed in BAL –12.5
to 29 areas.
