BELOW EAR. In the aviation context, the sensor pad can be tucked
between the headset cushion and the skin below the earlobe. Note this
is NOT on the earlobe, but below the earlobe. Note that women and
children often are unable to get consistent readings in this location due
to anatomical differences. Also, this location is not ideal where there is
excessive movement or talking. In these cases when readings are
inconsistent or low, use the forehead position of the sensor pad.
POWER
The Aithre portable power bank is approved for use with the Illyrian. Do not use other portable power
banks as they may not be able to supply the low current requirement of the Illyrian. Charge up your Aithre
power bank for its first use with the number of red lights indicating the amount of charge. Pushing the
button once turns the Aithre power bank on or off. Holding the button turns the flashlight feature on or
off. The Aithre portable power bank will stay on until you turn it off manually using the button.
PAIRING
The Illyrian should pair automatically when power is applied. Simply open the Aithre Connect app and
navigate to the pulse oximetry tab. The pulsing pairing indication should begin as soon as power is
applied. Once paired, the Aithre Connect app should continue to collect data even if used in the
background.
AITHRE CONNECT SETTINGS
Turn SIRI notices on within the settings tab of the Aithre Connect app. The default warnings provided are
drops below 92 percent and drops below 85 percent. You may also specify a custom SPO2 warning level
within the settings tab. Note that the warnings currently are only provided one time so as to avoid being
a nuisance. Updates are planned to permit repeat warning notifications within the app.
