1. Product Description
1.1 Buttons
MENU = With this button you can o en menu selection of current running a lication.
VOL +/- = Adjust device volume u or down.
HOME = Enter to device main screen.
POWER ON/OFF = Turn ON device by short ress or turn OFF device by long ress.
RESET (located at back side of de ice) = It make hard reboot for device.
1.2 LED’s
POWER LED = RED light when ower ON.
BATTERY LED = BLUE light when charging. RED light when running on battery.
WiFi LED = RED light when wireless connected.

1.3 Connectors
AUDIO OUT = You can connect stereo head hones to this connector.
DC IN = Connect ower ada ter to charge device battery.
SD CARD SLOT = Connect SD card for external memory of device..
30pin CONNECTOR = You can connect 30 in to USB cable to get connection with PC or USB dongle.
2. Getting Started
2.1 Battery Charging
PAD has an internal charging battery. We suggest to charge u the battery when the battery ower is low.
Way to Charging Battery
1. Plug in the Power ada ter to Power ada tor ort of device, Battery charge LED will light u blue. Charging rocedure will
be com leted once the LED turns off
2. During Battery Charging, you can still o erate with PAD.
Note:
The charging time will be longer when o erating and charging at same time.
2.2 How to use SD Card
Insert card:
Insert SD card to the Card slot. Use finger to ut the card into the slot until “click” sound heard.
U er left corner of the screen will rom t: “Pre aring SD card”.
Browsing files in card:
Run "ES File Ex lorer" rogram, showing all the files under the “SD card” root directory.
Remo e SD card:
Close all a lications or documents which have been o ened from the SD card.
Press the SD card lightly. It will be ejected artly. Pull the SD card out. U er left corner of the screen will rom t "SD card
unex ectedly removed".
Note:
1. Insert card to the right osition. Otherwise it will damage the card.
2. Once the card has been locked, it can not be formatted or written.
3. Don’t insert and remove the card re eatedly in a short time. It may cause the card damaged.
4. Suggest using major brands of SD card to avoid any incom atibility.

2.3 urn Power ON and OFF
POWER ON: Press Power button shortly to start u the Android Platform.
POWER OFF: Long ress (8 seconds) Power button to force shut down the device.
Power off through “Device o tions” menu selection.
Long ress (2 seconds) Power button to o en Device o tions menu selection. Click “Power off” to switch off ower.
2.4 Connecting to the internet
Connecting to the internet by Wi-Fi:
1. Press touch screen with your finger and slide the right side icon to the left. It will show a lication icons;
2. Click on the “Wi-Fi Settings” icon to o en Wi-Fi settings;
3. All available wireless AP’s will be listed, click on AP name you want to connect to;
4. If the connection can be established, the connection information will be shown on the o -u window. Press "Connect" button
to establish the wireless connection or ress "forget" button to remove wireless AP information;

5. If the wireless connection is not encry ted, in the o -u window, ress "Connect" button to establish the wireless connection;
6. If the wireless connection is encry ted, enter the wireless connection assword on the o -u window. Press "Connect" button
to establish the encry ted wireless connection;
7. When internet connection is established successfully, the wireless connection icon will be shown on the status bar.

3. Input operation
3.1 Keyboard
When you need to enter text and numbers to the rogram or file, the touch screen keyboard will a ear automatically.
Default keyboard is Android Keyboard (US/UK).
Set up additional keyboard settings (Scandina ian/Paragon/SlideIT):
1. Press touch screen with your finger and slide the right side icon to the left. It will show a lication icons;
2. Click on the “Settings” icon to o en Settings;
3. Select “Locale & Text” from menu;
4. Choose Keyboard you want (Mark it as active);
- If Scandinavian keyboard used, change correct language to keyboard layout from Scandinavian keyboard settings

5. To change between keyboards, long ress to text s ace or long ress the “?123” button on keyboard.
6. From “In ut Method” menu you can select other keyboard in use.
Note: This machine su orts an external USB keyboard, but when using an external USB keyboard, some keys may not work
ro erly.
3.2 ouch Screen
Calibrate the touch screen:
1. Press touch screen with your finger and slide the right side icon to the left. It will show a lication icons;
2. Click on the “Settings” icon to o en Settings;
3. Select “Touch anel calibration” from menu;
4. Press lus signs with your finger one by one to calibrate the screen;

Touch Screen senses the finger trajectory and can do the following:
Click: Select an icon to click, and then you can select the icon or o tion;
Long press: Select a single icon and do long ress and then you can drag it to the deskto dis lay.
Drag and Drop: Drag the deskto you can switch between the three interfaces.
Note: Please do not lace objects on the touch screen surface, it may be scratched or crushed.

4.1 Status Bar
The to screen for the status bar, dis lay SD card, network, battery status, time and volume change, etc..

4.2 Shortcuts
On the deskto , ress the MENU button and bottom of the screen will o u the shortcut menu. Menu items include: Add,
Wall a er, Search, Notification, Settings and Show.
4.3 Current desktop lamp
The device Deskto has three dots light, that is, a total of three interfaces, the current interface will dis lay the green dot. If the
indicator show as , then the current deskto is on the second interface.
4.4 A quick way to add gadgets
Shortcuts
To add a shortcut to the main screen, ress MENU → Add → Shortcuts. Select the shortcut of your a lication, when it will be
added to the main screen. After adding, you can click on the shortcut icon on main screen when corres onding a lication of the
shortcut will start.

5. Web browsing
Users can connect to the Internet through a web browser.
Click the Browser icon on the Deskto to o en the Web browser.
6. Application Management
6.1 Install and Uninstall
Install
To install third- arty software, go to the APK Manager:
1. Press touch screen with your finger and slide the right side icon to the left. It will show a lication icons;
2. Click on the “A k manager” icon to o en A k manager;
3. Press on “Install” tab and choose the third- arty software listed (SD card directory) you want to install.

4. Click install, to install the software:
You can o en the software immediately after installation; you can also o en it later from a lication menu screen.
Uninstall
To uninstall third- arty software, go to the APK Manager:
1. Press touch screen with your finger and slide the right side icon to the left. It will show a lication icons;
2. Click on the “A k manager” icon to o en A k manager;
3. Choose Third- arty software and click on uninstall.
6.2 Software Download
You can access similar to the following websites: htt ://www.android-themes.com、htt ://www.getandroidstuff.com、to select
the third- arty software to be downloaded and which you want to install. The download file will be stored in the SD card

download directory. When you need to install third- arty software, click the file on the SD card in the download directory or you
can use APK Manager to install from SD card.
7. Typical applications introduced
7.1 Chat ool
You can use re-installed chat clients Hi MSN, AndChat and Sky e to chat with your friends.
7.2 E-mail
1. Press touch screen with your finger and slide the right side icon to the left. It will show a lication icons;
2. Click on the “MailDroid” icon to o en E-mail a lication;
Proceed as follows:
1. Set e-mail account;
2. O en a new e-mail;
3. Send and receive e-mail.
7.3 Schedule management
1. Press touch screen with your finger and slide the right side icon to the left. It will show a lication icons;

2. Click on the “Calendar” icon to o en Calendar;
Press MENU to show the shortcut menu; Click “Day” to view the day view; Click “Week” to view Week view; Click “Month” to
view month view; Click “New event” to add new event; Click “Today” to see the Current date; Click “More” for more settings.
8. Tips and Tric s
Some convenient way of use:
Home screen — Press “HOME” button or click on touch screen.
Adjusting the volume — Press “–“ and “+” buttons or click / on touch screen.
Battery Ti s:
As the device has a large screen, it will consume a lot of ower. To extend battery life, you can reduce the frequency of use of the
following features:
1. Recording or watching videos, listening to music;
2. Dis lay brightness: Please ress MENU → Settings → Sound & Dis lay → Brightness (reduce the brightness);
3. Wi-Fi Search: Please ress MENU → Settings → Wireless Controls → Wi-Fi Settings → Network notification (disable);
4. Wi-Fi use: Please ress MENU → Settings → Wireless Control → Wi-Fi (turn off Wi-Fi if not needed).

9.1 Wireless controls
Manage Wi-Fi and air lane modes.

Wi-Fi
If you want to enable or disable the Wi-Fi, ress MENU → Settings → Wireless Control → Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi Settings
If you want to set u and manage the wireless connections, ress MENU → Settings → Wireless Control → Wi-Fi Settings.
Airplane mode
If you want to disable all wireless connections, ress MENU → Settings → Wireless Control → Air lane mode.
9.2 Sound and display
Set ringtones, notification, and screen brightness.
Silent mode
To mute all other a lications than alarm clock sound, ress MENU → Settings → Sound & dis lay → Silent mode.
Media olume
To set the volume of music and video, ress MENU → Settings → Sound & dis lay → Media volume.
Notification ringtone
To set the ring of the default notification, ress MENU → Settings → Sound & dis lay → Notification ringtone.

Audible selection
To lay sound when making the screen selection, ress MENU → Settings → Sound & dis lay → Audible selection.
SD card notifications
To make the SD card notification sound, ress MENU → Settings → Sound & dis lay → SD card notifications.
Animation
To show animation when o en and close the window, ress MENU → Settings → Sound & dis lay → Animation.
Gra ity sensor settings
To change gravity sensor settings, ress MENU → Settings → Sound & dis lay → Gravity sensor setting.
Brightness
To adjust the brightness of the screen, ress MENU → Settings → Sound & dis lay → brightness.
Screen timeout
To adjust the delay before the screen automatically turns off, ress MENU → Settings → Sound & dis lay → Screen timeout.
9.3 Applications
Manage a lications.
Unknown Source
To allow installation of non-market a lications, ress MENU → Settings → A lications → Unknown sources.

To manage and remove the installed a lications, ress MENU → Settings → A lications → Manage a lications.

9.4 SD cards and devices
To unmount or format SD card and view available storage, ress MENU → Settings → SD card & device storage.

Total Space (LocalDisk storage / SD card)
View the total amount of LocalDisk storage / SD card.
A ailable space (LocalDisk storage / SD card)
View the available s ace of LocalDisk storage / SD card.
Unmount SD card
To unmount the SD card in a safe removal, ress the MENU → Settings → SD card & device storage → Unmount LocalDisk.
Format SD Card
To format (erase) the SD card, ress the MENU → Settings → SD card & device storage → Format SD card.
A ailable space
View available free s ace for Android system.
Factory data reset
To erase all data from device, ress MENU → Settings → SD card & device storage → Factory data reset.
9.5 Date and ime
To set the date, time, time zone, time and format of the system, ress MENU → Settings → Date & Time.
9.6 Locale and text
Set locale (language and region), text in ut and auto-correction o tions. Press MENU → Settings → Locale & text.

Android keyboard
Android keyboard is default system keyboard.
To change Android keyboard settings, ress MENU → Settings → Locale & text → Android keyboard .
SlideIT Keyboard
To choose SlideIT Keyboard, ress MENU → Settings → Locale & text → SlideIT Keyboard .
NOTE! Keyboard can be activated in use by long ress “?123” button on keyboard and change the In ut Method.
To change SlideIT Keyboard settings, ress MENU → Settings → Locale & text → SlideIT Keyboard .
Scandina ian keyboard
To choose Scandinavian Keyboard, ress MENU → Settings → Locale & text → Scandinavian Keyboard .
NOTE! Keyboard can be activated in use by long ress “?123” button on keyboard and change the In ut Method.
To change Scandinavian Keyboard settings, ress MENU → Settings → Locale & text → Scandinavian Keyboard .
Paragon keyboard
To choose Paragon Keyboard, ress MENU → Settings → Locale & text → Paragon Keyboard .
NOTE! Keyboard can be activated in use by long ress “?123” button on keyboard and change the In ut Method.
To change Paragon Keyboard settings, ress MENU → Settings → Locale & text → Paragon Keyboard .
User dictionary
To add words to the user dictionary and remove the word from the user dictionary, ress the MENU → Settings → Locale & text
→ User dictionary .
9.7 About device
View legal info, device status, software version.
Status
To view Battery status/level, Wi-Fi MAC address and U time, ress MENU → Settings → About device → Status .

To view what has been using the battery, ress MENU → Settings → About device → Battery use .
Legal information
To view the relevant legal information, ress MENU → Settings → About device → Legal information .
Model number
To see the model, ress MENU → Settings → About device → Model number.
Firmware ersion
To see the firmware version, ress MENU → Settings → About device → firmware version.
Kernel ersion
To see the kernel version, ress MENU → Settings → About device → Kernel version.
Build number
To see the build number, ress the MENU → Settings → About device → Build number.
9.8 ouch screen calibration
To calibrate touch screen, ress the MENU → Settings → Touch anel calibration .
Follow the rom ts at touch screen calibration.
10. Loc /Unloc the touch screen
Screen / de ice lock:
1. Screen idle (do not ress any buttons);
2. Quick Press Power button.
Screen / de ice unlock:
1. Quick Press any button to wake the screen;
2. Press MENU button to unlock.
11. Troubleshooting
11.1 Forced shutdown
Press and hold Power button for 5 seconds, device will force the shutdown.
11.2 RESE
If device buttons and touch screen does not res onse, bush on the small RESET hole behind the device and it will be restarted.

11.3 Restore default settings
To restore the device to factory settings and clear all information, ress MENU → Settings → SD card & device storage →
Factory data reset .
Warning: Reset the device to factory defaults will delete all settings, Google accounts, system and a lication data, re-installed
a lications and downloaded a lications. Please use this carefully.
